Reminds me of another card trick I saw, early 90's I think. Card was chosen. Standard routine about shuffling. But the guy had a flighted bird, think it was a parrot. After the shuffle, he did a 52-card-pickup into the audience, the bird flies off, snatches a card out of the air, and flies back to his shoulder.
He shows the card the bird brought him, and sure enough, it was the one. Wondered for years now how he did that shit.
