A twitter member left a particularly rude comment for a model I like, so I looked at his twitter feed. After reading through it, I realized he was either a basics or a guests. I never stopped to think that since most rooms mute guests & basics, a troll would attack a models twitter feed. This particular twitter member had a few followers (9). Most seemed to be other trolls, but he had two surprisingly high profile MFC models. Since twitter names, and MFC screen names sometimes differ, it got me wondering how models interact with twitter members they don't know. Does anyone knowingly follow a guest or basic?

On my twitter, I only follow models and members I know from MFC. And some novelty & celebrity accounts. Every month I go through and do a major cleanup. I try not to respond to the "bb rate my cock" bs.

I follow guys who visit my room and are nice enough to actually talk to me in my room, and tip when they can.
If you are one of those guys who lurks my room everyday (Yeah, you over there in the PM Viewers list...I seeeee youuuuu!), I will not be following you back on Twitter.
Some people act like it makes them cooler to have tons of Twitter followers, so it's like a big freakin' deal to them that tons of models follow them back...lol.

I have gotten a couple 'follow me back yo' guys, whom I ignored. One guy told me to follow him three or four times before he gave up.
It's interesting to me when I see people following 10,000 people and have 3,000 followers. From what I can tell it's kind of a courtesy thing to follow people back when they follow you, so people just go around following everyone in the world to gain their own followers. Kind of silly, really.

I like the idea, but I suspect the attention would just stroke his piss ant ego, and cause him to be a bigger troll. All he seems to do is insult any model that twet's she having a bad day to get a rise out of them. He's obviously living for the negative attention.
It's the same with all social media -- the number of contacts you have is some sort of status symbol, but carries little serious importance. For instance, I love people who brag something like "I have 3,000 friends on Facebook." Friends? Really? How many of those "friends" have you met IRL? Do you even know their real names? How many of them would loan you money or let you crash on their couch if you hit hard times? Can you call any of them at 3 am when you're drunk and miserable and feeling helpless and alone and need a sympathetic ear? Who among them would be invited to your wedding or show up at your funeral? I challenge you to list as many of your "friends" as you can without looking at your Facebook. Betcha can't name more than a handful; probably relatives and the few followers who actually are your friends and were such long before you started accumulating thousands of unseen, unmet, useless "friends" on your account. As an interesting aside, There has been a lot on Twitter here in the UK recently as a number of people have been arrested for racist remarks posted on Twitter to a famous British Ex-Soccer players account, he just retweets them straight away and the amout of racist abuse he gets is shameful.
Made me glad inside last night when #GetXXXarrested (where XXX was a username I forget now) was trending in the UK after he Tweeted racist abuse about Fabrice Muamba, the Black Soccer player who is critically ill after collapsing with a heart attack during a game. It appears this morning Welsh Police have arrested the dick :mrgreen:
