I've been a broadcaster since 2017. My driver's license expires next week and I was told the temporary renewal will not be adequate to confirm my ID. I had assumed it would be sufficient but I received a message from support yesterday saying confirming it won't be. Unfortunately, I have to wait weeks to receive my Real ID and as of next week, I won't be able to stream - this is my only source of income.
In 2020, customer support did extend a grace period to me for my expired ID, which is why I am inquiring now. I had an issue with my license expiring during a time when the DMV was temporarily closed due to civil unrest riots in my area. Therefore I know they possess the ability to give me an extension and use common sense. I'm not going to suddenly become a minor once my ID expires and most settings still recognize it as legally valid. I understand the rules, however I'm just asking for a short extension (a month at the most) so that I don't lose access to the only income I have. I cannot afford to wait until the ID comes in the mail.
