Jason Martin, Near-Toothless Man, Guilty Of Biting Off Neighbor's Penis
The tooth can hurt.

A man with only a couple of teeth was found guilty this week of biting -- or should we saw gumming -- off his neighbor's penis, Kent Online reported.

Jason Martin, 41, got into an altercation with 39-year-old Richard Henderson in their Kent neighborhood in July after Henderson sent Martin a text message asking him to turn down his music, according to the Daily Mail.

Martin bit down on Henderson's penis through his pajamas so forcefully that it became detached, according to the Metro. It was later reattached with stitches.

"My willy was not attached to the rest of my body," Henderson told the Canterbury Crown Court. "I have never experienced that kind of pain to this day and I don’t want to experience it ever again.”

Martin claims the allegations against him are impossible, telling the court, "I have only got a couple of teeth in the lower part of my mouth, I can't even bite into a hard-boiled." However, he does admit he has dentures, though he says they are only "for cosmetic reasons."

He also noted, ‘"The thought of putting a man’s penis in my mouth. Well, it’s not for me."

Martin admitted he did grab Henderson's "bits and bobs" with his hand, but says he was acting in self-defense after Henderson punched him, put him in a headlock and kicked him.

UK firm sorry for making jobseekers dance at interview
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/09/ ... WX20130905

British electronics retailer Currys issued an apology on Thursday after admitting that interviewees trying to earn a job as a sales assistant at one of its stores had been made to dance.

The jobseekers, who were attending a group interview at a Currys Megastore in Cardiff, had to perform dance routines during team building exercises which the firm said did not form part of its formal procedures

I guess they think that job hunting these days isn't tough enough...

Children burned by household fruit
http://www.hanfordsentinel.com/news/loc ... f887a.html

Stephanie Ellwanger experienced every parent’s worst nightmare: Watching as her daughters were struck down by a mysterious affliction with no explanation.

It happened two weeks ago. What at first seemed to be overexposure to the sun blossomed into softball-sized blisters and second-degree burns. Her girls, Jewels, 12, and Jazmyn, 9, wound up spending several days in an intensive care unit, hooked up to morphine to manage the pain.

No one knew how it happened.

It turns out they had Phytophotodermatitis, and it came from getting splashed with lime juice, before being exposed to sunlight.
The future, however, remains uncertain. The doctors are advising all of the girls to stay indoors for six months, if not longer.

“They can’t be sure that they’ve healed all the way,” Ellwanger said. “We’re not sure if it’ll reactivate next time they go out into sunlight.” It may even be permanent.
From limes!

The mayo clinic is doing research on this, and they call it margarita dermatitis.

Jennifer Mee Guilty: 'Hiccup Girl' To Serve Life In Prison For First Degree Murder

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- A Florida woman who became famous for her uncontrollable hiccupping was found guilty of first-degree murder Friday night and will serve life in prison without parole.

A Pinellas County jury deliberated for four hours before delivering the verdict against 22-year-old Jennifer Mee.

Mee wept in the Clearwater courtroom as the verdict was read. Minutes later, Judge Nancy Moate Ley explained that the only possible sentence for the charge was life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The verdict and five-day trial was a sad end to a chapter in Mee's short and sad life. Her attorneys said she suffered from schizophrenia and Tourette's Syndrome, and a court psychiatrist said Mee's intelligence was "low normal."

As a 15-year-old, Mee developed a case of the hiccups that wouldn't go away. She appeared on several TV shows and while on the "Today" show, was hugged by fellow guest and country music star Keith Urban. She tried home remedies and consulted medical specialists, a hypnotist and an acupuncturist, until the hiccups finally stopped on their own, though not for good.

Her attorney, John Trevena, said his client was on medication to control the hiccupping, and even then, she occasionally had bouts.

She hiccupped briefly during one day of her murder trial.

In 2010, Mee lured Shannon Griffin, a 22-year-old Wal-Mart worker, to an abandoned home under the pretense of buying marijuana. Once there, two of Mee's friends robbed Griffin at gunpoint – but he struggled and was shot four times.

Mee's co-defendant, LaRon Raiford, was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in August. Lamont Newton, the other co-defendant who was also Mee's boyfriend at the time of the crime, has not yet gone to trial.

Trevena said his client did not orchestrate the robbery and that there wasn't enough evidence to convict her. But prosecutors said Mee did set everything up, and used police interviews and a taped jailhouse phone call between Mee and her mother as evidence.

During the call, she told her mother that she did not pull the trigger of the gun that killed Griffin, but that she was charged with murder.

"Because I set everything up," Mee explained during the call that was played for the jury. "It all went wrong, Mom. It just went downhill."

Wedding delayed as man chops off testicles, storms church
http://www.wpxi.com/news/news/wedding-d ... rch/nZ2wD/
There are a number of things that can sometimes hold up a wedding ceremony; the bride taking a little too long with her preparations, late arriving guests, or maybe a nervous groom showing up late to the ceremony.

For one unfortunate British couple it was something beyond anyone's imagination.

According to a British paper, the couple's special day was delayed after a bleeding man who had just 'hacked' off his testicles stormed into the church...

S. FL Doctor Uses New Technology To “Re-Grow” Man’s Finger
http://miami.cbslocal.com/2013/09/16/s- ... ns-finger/
It’s being called a medical marvel. A south Florida doctor used a unique procedure to actually grow back a man’s finger that a horse bit off...Using the bladder tissue of a pig, Dr. Rodriguez made a template of Halpern’s finger and attached it to what was left. The result was astounding. The finger’s cells, bone, soft tissue, even nail grew into the mold. “It’s very interesting to see a patient heal. That’s my passion, wound healing. It is fascinating to have the new results,” said Dr. Rodriguez.

Maybe the testicle chopper-off-er guy should call this doctor!

One of those OMG what did I do last night moments.

Once they arrived, they said they found the man kneeling outside the school, naked and bloody from the waist down, with a portion of his genitals ripped off.

“He mutilated his genitals with his bare hands,” Sgt. Geoff Fox told AnnArbor.com. "He was doing a lot of yelling and screaming."

Investigators say he admitted to taking "magic" mushrooms before flipping out and trying to claw off his own penis and scrotum, according to The Columbus Dispatch. It took at least six officers to subdue him, the report notes.

Parts of his body were transferred to the hospital with him.

Utah man shoots neighbor in the back for ‘telepathically raping’ his wife

qzdSSdT.jpg

A 55-year-old Utah woman convinced her 53-year-old husband to shoot the man who had been “telepathically raping” her.

Meloney Selleneit is accused of illegally purchasing a gun for her husband, Michael Selleneit – a convicted pedophile – and inciting him to shoot 41-year-old neighbor, Tony Pierce, twice in the back as he worked outside his trailer home.

According to ABC 4 News, Pierce was flown to a hospital for emergency treatment.

Michael later told police Pierce had been telepathically raping his wife for years and was using crack cocaine to control her mind.

Tony Pierce was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the back outside his trailer home.

Though mental health evaluators expressed some hesitancy, a judge found Michael competent to stand trial.

He pleaded guilty but mentally ill to attempted manslaughter and use of a firearm by a restricted person, and was sentenced to two, consecutive one-to-15 years prison terms.

Michael is currently being held at the state hospital until his mental health is determined to be suitable for general prison population.

Meloney was also found to be mentally competent to stand trial and after pleading guilty but mentally ill to her charges last week, she was taken back to the same state hospital, where she has been receiving treatment over the last year.

Her sentencing is scheduled to take place October 31.

This reminded me of one of my first jobs right out of high school. Washing dishes in the kitchen of a state run mental health institution (called Asylum's in the old days but now we're more p.c.). All of the people there were court ordered to be there after doing some level of crimes. Some were just there on weekday's or weekend's only because they were not a serious threat to anyone, and it allowed them to keep working at a job. But there were two buildings where the serious offenders were housed. They never were let out on the grounds, all their rooms were padded walls, their meals were brought to them with plastic utensils. And even then the utensils were counted to make sure they didn't try to keep them.

People think pleading not guilty by reason of insanity is a great thing to do because in the movies the bad guy goes to a treatment center then is released after a while because 'he gets better.' No. Every single person in those two buildings would have been released long before had they just plead guilty and gone to prison. Once you're under psychiatric care there's no limit on how long they can keep you. Never plead guilty by reasons of insanity, you're screwed way worse once you do.

Man Attempts To Pay Water Bill With Cocaine: Cops

Police in Deltona, Fla., are trying to sniff out the identity of a man who allegedly attempted to pay his water bill with cocaine.

The unidentified man walked into the water department office on Monday and handed a clerk an envelope that contained not a check, but a small amount of white powder.

Officials evacuated employees so hazmat teams from the sheriff's office and two separate fire departments could analyze the powder, the Beacon News Online reported.

The powder was later determined to be cocaine, Gary Davidson, a spokesman for the Volusia County Sheriff’s Dept., told the Dayton Beach News-Journal.

Surveillance cameras show the suspect is a man wearing a T-shirt and shorts who rode away on a bicycle.

“The clerk (at the counter) said she had never seen the man before,” Sheriff’s spokesman Brandon Haught, told the News-Journal. “He didn’t say anything to her, he just handed her the envelope and walked out.”

The investigation is ongoing, according to NBCMiami.com.

That's just news. It's not weird or wacky.

In related news that may be of interest to fans, Bitcoin took a big hit as a result. Sinking from around USD 141 the previous day to as low as USD 110 to a current approximately USD 129. I imagine that little roller-coaster ride will give some folks pause.

Ok I will put a slightly wacky spin on it.

They arrested the guy because they (FBI) analyzed the code on his web server and then found several lines of custom code to be identical to some lines of code he posted on StackOverflow http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense ... under.html he actually signed up to StackOverflow with his real name but then changed it a minute later to "frosty".

Imagine getting stung 200 times by these

NATTAio.jpg

According to The Guardian, at least "28 people have died and hundreds have been injured in a wave of attacks by giant hornets in central China." The hornets, also known as Vespa mandarinia, have reportedly "chased [victims] for hundreds of meters... and stung [them] as many as 200 times."

The venom from the stings can cause anaphylactic shock and kidney failure, the Guardian reported (as if you wouldn't die from sheer terror).

Giant Asian hornets shouldn't present too much of a challenge, right? We might soon find out: The hornets were reported in Illinois last year.

Oregon Highway Shootout Ends With Death Of Gunman John Van Allen (VIDEO)

Police released video Thursday of a highway shootout that started when a man pulled a gun during a routine traffic stop -- while his kids waited in the car.

Oregon State Trooper Matthew Zistel sustained a bullet wound in his side when John Van Allen II, 34, allegedly fired several shots at him on Interstate 84 in August, KGW reports. Allen -- a trained military veteran who was on a road trip with his three children -- was killed by a single gunshot wound to the chest.

On the video released this week, Allen gets out of his car and stands still, staring at Zistel. The officer tells him repeatedly to get back in the car, but Allen resists, and eventually pulls a handgun. He begins firing and taking cover behind the cop car, then retreats, showing no visible signs of injury. Zistel calls dispatch as Allen flees.

Allen was found several miles down the road, dead in his car. Zistel had a bullet wound in his left side.

One of Allen's former friends said she couldn't believe it was him in the video.

"It's just completely out of character -– it doesn't add up," she told The Oregonian.

A relative said that Allen was taking his children back to his native South Carolina. Nobody could guess why he chose to fire on the officer, the New York Daily News reports.

Allen's three children -- ages 10, 13 and 15, were taken into the care of the Department of Human Services.

Interesting. He did training right here only 25 minutes away from me. Fort Leonard wood has a lot of students here on campus and an rotc building.
According to US Army records, Van Allen served in the army reserve from October 2009 through July 2012. He did his training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and in New Kensington, Pennsylvania and worked as a construction engineer. His highest rank was private first class.

How about this new revelation, Mr. Roberts is believed to have about 5% of all the Bitcoins in the world tucked away somewhere. Anyone ever watch the anime One Piece?

The spokesperson says the approximately 26,000 Bitcoins seized are just the ones that were held in Silk Road accounts. In other words, it’s Silk Road users’ Bitcoin. The FBI has not been able to get to Ulbricht’s personal Bitcoin yet. “That’s like another $80 million worth,” she said, explaining that it was held separately and is encrypted. If that is indeed what he’s holding, that’s close to 600,000 Bitcoin all together or about 5% of all Bitcoin currently in existence.

A 27-year-old Steelville woman was charged on Wednesday for endangering the welfare of a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child after she admitted to authorities that she had taken nude photos of her juvenile daughter, posted them on the Internet and allowed men to have sex with her.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, the woman is being held in the Crawford County Jail on $50,000 cash-only bonds for the two charges.

During an investigation, sheriff's deputies questioned the mother, who admitted to taking nude pictures of her middle-school-age daughter and posting them on the Internet.

The sheriff's office stated that the woman went on to say that she sent photos of her daughter to men she had met on the Internet. In exchange, the men would send photos back along with money.

The mother also admitted to allowing men to have sex with her daughter in their Crawford County home for money.
