Whack-a-mole bots in chat

Over the last week or so I've been noticing a large number of what look like 'bots' joining my room and spamming links to external sights.

usernames seem to have 4 digits at the end and first posting appears to be 4 random letters before starting to drop some pretext message containing the link.

Is this a new thing or just one of those delights that was bound to appear soon or later...?

Report the accounts for spam. This happens from time to time. If you can delete their chat after you take screenshots.

These types of affiliates are garbage.
