Ok so like, since this thread is about toilet paper now... anyone else hate that "super-luxuriant" 3 or 4 ply expensive paper? Feels like wiping your butt with a hand towel...or so I imagine

On a sidenote, I've had a theory for a few years now that kleenex uses fluffy puppies and ducklings to advertise toilet paper because deep down inside, most of us would love to have a basket of silky, fuzzy labrador puppies to wipe with.

LOL!! Hahaha... I would love to have a basket of silky, fuzzy Labrador puppies but definitely not to wipe my ass with! Ewww... Hehehe

Yeah but that's totally what Kleenex etc are trying to do by associating their cute lil puppies and duckies with their paper lol. They want you to see the fuzzy little labrador and think yeah, I want toilet paper as soft and innocent as that!

As far as I can tell, the topic still says "what models do with their money". I dont think it ever changed to, "lets talk about wiping our asses." So no, the thread topic never changed.

;) ;)

Also, keep in mind that what models are paid every two weeks is tax free. So we all have to be careful and save so we dont screw ourselves at the end of the year. :)

Like amber said, we also have to pay for our own healthcare, I assume others have family/children that need healthcare too.

Staying entertaining for you guys is expensive. We go online often and you guys do notice if we wear the same lingerie set twice a week and using the same toy gets pretty boring too. We are constantly brainstorming ways for you to come back to our room. Money is also needed for advertising, websites etc.

Oh and we are always trying to look pretty for you. Do you know how much make up is? Hair dye, manicure, pedi, waxing, etc.

This doesnt pertain to me, but a lot of models have children, or are a single parent.

So think about this kind of stuff before you think we are buying yachts to go along with our hookers and blow.

Im just starting to see the income come in, so in a few months I will come back and let you know if i make it "big". But for now, I'm just paying the bills and saving up to see a doctor.

I live in a town where the rich old people come to die. So what I want to do is do what they did (investing, etc) so I dont have to work until I die.

All that stuff can be tax deductions.

Tax deductible doesn't mean free, though! :)

I kinda get the feeling that people think this way about the models who are always in the top 50 or so. It's obvious that it's great money when you're finishing that high in rank, but that doesn't mean that it's all just spending cash. There are definitely times where I am happy to be able to afford to get a new game or a new outfit, but I certainly don't blow my monthly MFC paycheck on crap. I think being smart with your money when you're young sets you up for a more comfortable life when you're older.

One member's comment that irritated me was something like "you obviously make a lot of money why are you asking for tokens right now?". I think I replied somewhere along the lines of "Well, even people who make a good living still go to their job every day, don't you? I'm just doing my job." Entertainers probably make a good living, but for years and years we still have to pay to watch their movies, or pay to watch them perform on stage, so that they can receive a paycheck. Just because someone isn't struggling, do they not deserve to be paid for their work?

I should also add to my previous post that in my experience when a member wants to know what a model makes they are really looking for a rationalization not to tip. Just my opinion.

I think you're right. To me, if someone asks a model "How much money do you make," the best response is "it's none of your business just like it's none of my business to know how much you make at your job."

This so much. I usually respond with "Wouldn't you feel like I was deciding whether or not you're worth my time if I expected you to tell me how much you make?"

I dunno, I had a sneak peak from lounge today, you weren't wearing anything at all and I didn't find it boring. Maybe you can cut costs on clothing

Yeah it kind of felt like to me that the whole implication of starting this thread was that us models must be rich!

Now, don't get me wrong, most of us do quite well... But, like it's been pointed out, this is our job. We have bills to pay! And just like anyone else, we scale our living to our expenses (or should be, lol). And most of us have tons of responsibilities and are still young and trying to get things on track. I think a lot of people just watch us models and see the tokens rolling in (tons and tons of tokens in some cases) and think we are rich! Lol. It's not like we don't work for the money, because we sure as hell do. Most of us don't just log on and sit there doing nothing and expect to make tokens. I know some models do, but those ones usually don't do very well.

I dunno... I love camming and there's definitely good money to be made and we are all certainly lucky to have this opportunity, but it doesn't mean that we all own yachts and are driving Mercedes Benz's (I have no idea how to do the proper plural of "Benz" so I settled with an apostrophe, lol). Most of us are supporting families, paying off debt, paying regular bills and setting up for the future.

Yeah same here, bills! LOL nothing fun yet!

I just moved cross country one year ago (squeezed into a small car with two cats), and started camming on MFC 4 months ago. So any extra $$ is for buying furniture and paying student loans.

Besides paying bills my goal is to save enough to buy a house...one day!

I save much of it, pay off rent (live with parents), take care of any random duties such as for around the house or for my lizard, then conserve, conserve. I'll purchase a toy now and again when they're suggested, but I haven't had an excess of spending money, so I'm careful.

It's kind of frustrating when some members come in and say stuff like "Oh, I bet you have no problem paying for ___, ___" or "Yeah, you're probably rolling in it". My current goal is to have enough income to live in an apartment with my guy. Right now I can't afford any sort of actual rent.

But, I still intend to buy Dragonage 2, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, TOR, cards to replenish my WoW time.. It's just going to take a while. The cost of loving videogames is monetarily comparable to cocaine, I swear. x_x

Skyrim is being preordered though. Skyrim is a necessity. O_O

I know the feeling all too well, except for WoW I'm planning on picking all those games up as well, assuming my comp can run TOR that is.
I had another gaming addiction that I've had to cut loose due to lack of funds, Magic: the Gathering which is called cardboard crack for a reason.

Yeah I'm gonna buy *cough cough* most of those games too :shifty:
has Skyrim got a release date yet? Don't forget Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings out too in april I think (or possibly may)
I'm glad I quit wowcrack, there's no way I'd be able to play all the cool games coming out and play that too

It's in November, either the first or eleventh, the other is ME3's release date.

I am currently putting 10% of every paycheck into an emergency saving account, and 10% into a goal account (one goal at a time, whatever's left from the previous goal will start the fund for the next one, and each goal is less than or equal to 1k).

My goals are as follows:

-a bed so I can cam in the spare room
-move apartments come October when this lease is up
-an accounting wardrobe
-a trip to visit my biological family
-a spare time wardrobe

by then, I should have an accounting job, and my goals get bigger, starting with paying off debts x.x

I am one of the lucky girls that makes quite good money on MFC..Living in Thailand means I can have a more or less Hollywood lifestyle on a budget ....yes with the cars and pools and houses and parties...hahahaha

But I invest about 80% of the money I make on MFC in real estate , buying businesses and investing in my own businesses...

I see MFC just like I see my design business, tattoo studio and my courtesan and porn business > as a business..
I love doing the cam work , I love my guys to death ...but in the end I don't wanna wake up in a few years having blown all that money on coke and cheap hookers and have nothing to show for it ...I work to hard for that .....lol...my name is not charlie sheen although I am #winning ...

Working on MFC is only part of what I do and its the smaller part of my income , but still it gives me the opportunity to secure my pension and future and invest in equity.......

Long ago I asked some models the same question........
What I do with my money now is this: I need to make at least $70/day to pay mortgage and other bills... need to make at least $100/day to pay the above plus food.....
Everything ove $100/day that I NEED to make goes to entertainment, savings and etc etc......
not making enough to invest in houses like MilaMillan, but i wish i did. dont travel much but I wish I did..
I live a pretty boring life :crybaby:
if some people would chip in to help me get a STRIP POLE, ....... then I could have MORE FUN

Hello :hello2: I'm new to this forum, (my first post), new to MFC but not new to camming. I have been camming for appx 3 years. Tissues ready? Sob story comming up ;)
I am 47 years old and wish I was 21 and just starting lol. I came into camming when our (I have a partner) business failed and I needed to earn a lot of money fast to prevent our home being repossesed. Needless to say it worked and my eyes were opened ;) Although I look good for my age I know my time is limited, I really don't want to be doing this in my 60's  . My first year was brilliant, I was making enough to cover the bills and the mortgage, however, things have gradually dropped of and now I am not making enough so I have started on MFC and even though it's been 3 days lol , it's been great  .
So what do I spend my camming money on? Self explanatary really. Camming is my business, my model names are commodities. All my earnings go to paying the bills included the mortgage, I would love to be earning more, hopefully that will come. My OH runs his own business, (completely seperate to this) but he needs investment, hopefully I will earn enough to do that too.
TBH When I first stared camming, I loved it! At my age it was a massive ego boost, but I have become a little jaded, which is why I joined MFC.
I don't really spend on clothes etc, I seem to have quite a sexy wardrobe anyway ;) but I do like to shop in local charity shops, you can pick up some wonderful clothes, shoes and accessories and even designer stuff, if you look , for very reasonable prices.
I think that the older you are the more different your goals are.

Someone mentioned how if you don't put taxes a side you screw yourself.....

So I screw myself to unscrew myself.

I also have bills. I also to live with my parents and can not afford rent.... After I"ve unscrewed myself. I have quarterly payments to pay towards taxes, I have all my bills, Then savings for more taxes and more bills. Of course a sex toy to keep mfc from getting boring.

When I have a nice savings I'll move out. My first place :) Sexed out

I save practically every penny that doesn't go to bills. I'm really thrifty, so even if I buy new lingerie for MFC, it's less than 10 bucks for a set usually. I buy groceries at wal-mart and I guess I treat myself out to dinner maybe once a month. I'm trying to save up to move across the country. Nothing lavish here

I'm just getting started out camming, so we'll see how things go overall. I'm incredibly lucky in that my husband's income pays most of the bills, and soon we are hoping to purchase a home in a rural area instead of renting a house in the 'burbs. Once the money starts coming in, I will be paying off debt and covering pet expenses (we have eight dogs, so just covering routine care gets expensive!). I have insurance coverage through my husband's job. At least 20% (preferably more) of my income is going to go into savings. Taxes will come out of that savings chunk and whatever is left will probably be invested one way or another. I am hoping to make enough to donate to the local animal shelters. If I strike it rich (unlikely, but hey, a girl can dream =p), I would love to get another degree, probably in sustainable agriculture, and go to vet school.

Ultimately, we're working toward farming for self-sufficiency. We'll always have our Internet and whatnot, but our goals are to establish a farm where we grow 99% of the food we eat as well as most everything else we will need for daily life. We're big do-it-yourselfers and have no problem doing things on a dime. We'll even be using alternative sources of power (wind, solar, water) so that we won't have those bills to pay for, although there will be plenty of upkeep costs to spend our money on.

Yes, I realize it's a strange dream for a camgirl, but there you have it. :-D

Honestly,,,,right now,,, I BLOW ALL OF IT!!!! I am a single mom and before camming just barley squeaked by with my bills and about $300 left over for food, gas,,etc.
sooo, with that said, I have been camming only since December and I have been so happy to have some extra cash that I can spend on MYSELF for once... but I have blown enough,,, Im going to start saving.
Oh,,,I use a lot to purchase stuff to cam with as well,,,,outfits, toys, etc

That doesn't sound strange at all to me, it is exactly what the hubs and I are doing
We live on 8 acres now and have a huge garden and we compost and have 20 chickens that provide for us ( and us them) but are planning more self sufficient endeavors in the near future. Rock on!

Now I'm wondering what loo roll rich/posh people use, I wonder if andrex is good enough for them, or if they get some custom made fancy stuff to match their bathrooms or something. Hmm.

Actually it is my experience that they use the paper thin cheap stuff. My ex had super rich parents and all of their toilet paper was cheap. I also used to clean houses for a living and all the rich people who's houses I cleaned had cheap stuff too. They also were extremely disgusting and I hated cleaning up after them.

I use the lovely quilted northern ultra soft, so that's probably where all my money goes.

Considering I have nine dollars to my name and rent to pay, a cat to get spayed, food to buy, and loans to pay back, the stuff that doesn't go to fancy toilet paper will probably go to that stuff.
