I TOTALLY READ THIS IN A BRITISH ACCENT WITHOUT EVEN THINKING!

That deserved caps.

Discussing your financial woes while attaching sob stories about your personal struggles. Kills the mood right?

I need Ruby to tutor me in British accents.

ALSO, one thing I will say and this something that I hate that I do. I push things off until it's too late. >.< I'm trying to get better about that.

Yeah seen both of those said here before and while hilarious, not a very good argument. Especially the porn site one. I doubt any argument exists that could make library shows acceptable to me so I'll just give up on the topic. If these silly things they tell themselves can somehow make them not feel bad about their poor behavior, cool. I just hate when people start to actually believe the bullshit they tell themselves.

I KNOW this is a dead horse and th at PiD goes round in circles on this. Food for thought:

broadcasting is different from watching porn.

Lets take a non-nude non-sexual show in a library:

I take pictures of myself in public places all the time. I post them to my twitter feed and my website - both of which are 'porn' sites. Is this disrespectful?

I don't see how taking a picture at a library, and posting it on a porn site is any different than broadcasting live from a library. Video is just a series of pictures..

Essentially - the line is fuzzy and people draw it differently.

If these silly things they tell themselves can somehow make them not feel bad about their poor behavior, cool. I just hate when people start to actually believe the bullshit they tell themselves.

Just because someone sees something differently than you do, does not mean they are 'telling themselves' something to make them feel better about something they must feel deep down in their conscience is bad. Conscience is a personal thing.

I've also been told that broadcasting my body on a porn site from the privacy of my own home is disrespectful to women and that "i just tell myself its not to make myself feel better". The person that told me that genuinely feels that to be true for their own conscience. But telling ME that i must feel that way also somehow.. is just silly. Just because you can't wrap your head around how someone else feels, does not mean they must actually feel differently somehow. It just means you are unable to understand their point of view.

We all have deeply held beliefs about respect.
I personally CANNOT wrap my head around sexualizing religion/making a mockery of it. (ex: sexy nun costumes). I feel it to be deeply disrespectful and offensive.

HOWEVER, I am not going to tell anyone that they must be 'telling themselves that its not to make themselves feel better about their poor behavior" because I'm pretty sure they just don't see it the same way I do.

It actually doesn't change anything about my beliefs, and it doesn't threaten them to acknowledge that someone else might have a deeply-held belief that they feel is true.
I get that you want to defend poor behavior(aren't you like a 30 something year old women that does crazy shows in public?) but the nun comparison isn't very good nor is the broadcasting isn't the same as watching. I get that some people won't see things the way I do but this is the only place people would try to defend this behavior. Comparing people not cool with library shows to people that think it's disrespectful to be on a porn site is obviously another bad comparison. 99.9% of people would think library shows are trashy. Most adults won't have a problem with what other adults do in the privacy of their own home. Weird that you have a problem with nun outfits but public shows aren't disrespectful and offensive.

I'm not going to talk about library shows but...

Did I miss the fucking memo on this massive change in humanity? We are living in the same world where parents disown children for being gay and people are murdered for the religion they choose to practice, right?

My mistake, most sane adults won't have a problem.
Phew, OK. As long as we can agree most people are not sane adults... carry on.

The nun comparison is perfect. I *hate* religious themed sexual shows. I find it.. inherently disrepectful. I won't watch them and I wont support them.

Other people have given me long reasonings why they don't agree - why they think its OK to dress up as nuns or masturbate with a crucifix dildo or what have you. Just like you can't agree with any reason that library shows might be ok, I cannot agree with any reason why its ok to disrespect a religion this way. At a certain point though, after I've said "hey this is uncool and here's why i think so" and they say "nah we dont get your point of view" and i say "I dont get your point of view" i drop it because there are so many better things i could be doing. I can't change their minds. Hurling around judgemental statements like you like to sure doesn't help. The only thing I can do is live my life authentically.

Most importantly I don't tell people that they must actually believe something different deep down and agree with me. All I'm saying is its impossible to know what is going on inside someones brain.

No I'm not in my 30's (what would that have to do with it?would it be better if i was 20? 50?) and I don't really do public shows at all anymore. Your personal comments about me and my reasons for doing anything don't change the simple logic of what im saying.

It's probably true that ACF is going to represent viewpoints of people that are camgirls and enjoy camgirls and thus will be NOT representative of the western world at large. However, just because we have those viewpoints, does not mean that you can tell us that 'deep down we feel something else'

We just dont.

And with that i've said my bit about the PiD dead horse. Because if he doesn't get what I've just said on any level, then he wont be able to see my POV. and the best thing for me to do, would be to leave him alone about it since talking about it wont change his mind and is just silly.

I don't either. People can believe whatever they want. Even if it is illogical.

I notice whenever there's a "library shows are disrespectful" diatribe on any thread, Punk is on the forefront to drill that notion into the ground.

So anyways, do we really need to have this discussion again...?
We already have a library shows as controversial debate, so refer to this thread...
https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/viewt ... it=library

PS... In a way i wish i hadn't had my role in the above thread but what's done is done.
Strange, i was mostly indifferent toward the subject yet defending it.

Ugh, library shows. I don't really even care although at some point I'm sure I had some opinion. Now after numerous discussions, I just don't ever want to read another thing (positive or negative) about them. :hand: :snooty:

Back on topic!

I find it really annoying when a model uses terms of endearment on everyone. Babe, baby, sweetie, honey, hun, etc. It's weird and gets to be sort of uncomfortable after a while.

Also! Hashtags and @ mentions in all tweets. If every single thing you tweet is being @ mentioned to 5 promoters (things like, "having a #great #day #today! @promoter @promoter @promoter @someoneelse RT") or every word is hashtagged. Stahp that!

There is one model who is literally RT'ing EVERY SINGLE USELESS POINTLESS THING I SAY. (that's a lot)

I bet ya, I could go tweet "I just drank some water" and she would RT it. O.O my notifications column is getting really annoyingly flooded with pointless RT's, that I'm actually missing important notifications.

I'm assuming it's the same girl who's been doing it to me! Even my replies to other girls and stuff. I'm not sure if she's a model or what but it is very strange.

And I am totally guilty of pet names  everyone is my love or sweetheart!!

Can her name be abbreviated with 'MD'...?
I blocked her weeks ago. So irritating and confusing. Something tells me her studio probably had control over her account and with all that retweeting they wanted to make other models notice her and follow her?

edit: Nvm, I just read that you guys are saying she's a member :thumbleft:

And of course now that I say something she stops... for the first time in weeks. weird.

She's getting good reviews on her "member" profile wall -

"wanking myself silly over you gorgeous"

"Very beautiful and enjoyable to watch"

and a token transfer link on there as well. ;)

D'oh, I always get annoyed when people are being vague and I just did it myself, sorry! User is @MandyDee1988

I like being retweeted of course, but man its a lot of notifications when someone RTs all your tweets!

I was wondering yesterday why in the world you tweeted drinking water. I was like "Is she in that goofy of a mood?", because I do shit like that all the time when I'm feeling goofy.

Most annoying thing a model can do:

Beg on Twitter for offline tips or for members to buy something off their wishlist. Also, whining about being behind on bills. This is especially annoying if the model has a high camscore. If you're making $100+ an hour, there's no excuse to be unable to pay bills, unless you had a tragic accident and are in the hospital or something of that nature.

:?
Assuming a model with a high camscore (and assuming any models 'per hour wage') shouldn't have expenses unless deemed tragic, is rude.

I agree with the excessive begging and whining. This doesn't fall into the asking for offline tips or wishlist purchases because we don't know anything about the situation- it's not my business either. But if you take asking for those things on Twitter automatically as begging well, you're on your own there.

There was a thread around here not too long ago where this was discussed at length. A lot of people argued asking for these things was flat-out begging, a lot of people argued that asking for offline tips/gifts is fine as long as something is being offered in return (I tend to agree with this line of thinking), and some people didn't see it as begging in any situation.

So you may not agree with Vanessa, but she's definitely not the only one who thinks that way.

I can see partially where she's coming from. (the asking for offline tips or wishlist stuff in a nice way doesn't bother me)

Talking about bills is just kind of tacky and tasteless.

I don't want to hear excuses as to why a member is broke and in turn, I won't tell everyone about my bills.

Most members come to MFC to escape the realities of boring life, like managing finances and paying bills. The last thing most of them want to hear or talk about is paying bills.

Edit!

I'll admit, When I see a model complain about not getting offline tips or wishlist purchases it makes me cringe SO HARD! (I know the spoiled princess is kind of a fetish and that's what some members are looking for but ugh... it looks terrible.) But of course, those models usually get more offline tips than most models I know so I guess if it works for them... it's right for their crowd and I have to just ignore it.

I worry sometimes that these attitudes actually cause other models to not get as many offline tips who don't ask for them, just because the frequency of "begging" has put a general offline tip bad taste in so many members mouths though... so that's interesting to ponder.
