hey everyone,

This is my first post and i'm so sorry to be asking this BUT, when i signed up for MFC i could have sworn it said that each token = .04 and i thought i've seen it several times in emails from gp2m, but what i don't understand is EVERYWHERE else on the internet it says we are making .05 per token. Am i getting screwed somehow, I'm so sorry for the "dumb" post but i haven't gotten paid yet so i have no clue.

'Get paid 2 model' is considered a studio and they take a percentage of your earnings (which is why their website says only 4c).

I just read through the GP2M website and they don't really offer you anything that makes it worth giving up a portion of your earnings. I would suggest signing up directly on the MFC website.

Wow, so I've actually been scammed to an extent, I thought GP2M was MFC... omg so have i actually made any money... = worried...

I can't express how pissed i am reading this... they haven't done shit for me in my opinion. How do i go about closing sassy_suzie and starting over?

I would suggest emailing MFC support and asking if they can close that account and create a new one for you (or transfer ownership of the account to you).

Honestly, any advice or help gp2m could have given you could probably be obtained on this forum. As soon as you have your own account you can join the 'models only' section where you can get all sorts of advice/tips for camming.

Check your contract. You may have agreed to "work for them" for a period of time or something.
I doubt you can close the account though, I'm assuming they have access to it?

No, they don't have any access to it that I'm aware of. I'm the only one logging in or doing anything on site. I'm really worried now that I'm being scammed. I have MFC software and everything, I get communications from them with tips but that's it, I'm having to do everything, not to mention my cs is god awful. I'm pissed because they never said they were a studio, they passed themselves off AS MFC.

Assuming they're a scammer...this may be a long shot but try logging directly into MFC using the same information you use now?

I'm able to login just fine by going to www.myfreecams.com and login, so IDK??? I just messaged MFC support and told them. They also (GP2M) have a forum, getpaid2model/forums and I just realized the communications I've been getting from them is just a cut and paste script from these forums. OMG I feel sick to my stomach. But like i said I'm logging directly into MFC with no problems. What I'm worried about now is that this company actually has my banking information, id etc. I'm thinking that they must shave .01 off of my tokens before "Direct Depositing" in my bank? I don't know but I'm scared to death now. I feel so stupid.

Read your contract and see if you are obligated to work for them through MFC. If you are, stop working on MFC and start working on another site like Streamate until your contract runs out.

There are a lot of people who have access to our banking information. It is very common. They are not going to steal money from you out of revenge or sell your information. Go to your bank in the next day or two and speak with a representative. Tell them you were scammed by a website and you want to make your account secure. Make sure they change things so that your payment information is no longer any good.

If you can make your own account on MFC, go through the sign-up process again. Make an independent account.

Do not send mean e-mails to the studio or yell at them. It's a cheap start up company to take advantage of people. It's not worth it at all. And you definitely do not want them to make trouble for you. Just leave them alone and never communicate with them again unless you have to.

Thank you for the reassurance. I don't have a contract with them at all that I'm aware? I never signed anything or even "agreed" to anything that I'm aware. I wonder if it's possible to just change my password on MFC (denying them access?)

You have a studio account. Your payments are sent to them, and they pay you. They do not need access to your account. Changing your password will have no effect.

You need to create a brand-new account. Tell MFC you want to close your studio account and open an independent one. You will start off fresh with a new camscore and some experience under your belt.

I've never had a studio account. I don't know. Just send MFC an e-mail with the address on file in your account. Tell them that you believe you have a studio account, and you no longer want to work for the studio. Ask what you need to do to get an independent account.
 
Evvie thanks for all your help. I just received an email back from MFC... All it gave me was the link for Independent models to sign up. But I've already done this?? See, when I log into MFC, I had to actually go through the regular "Documents" approval like everyone else, and get all the "Oks"... I uploaded my ID TO MFC, not to getpaid2model, it's freaking weird. When I login, I'm in complete control over my account as far as I can tell. Now, this email just gave me the link to independant model signup but doesn't say anything about what if I already have a studio account etc... so I don't know if they are going to automatically reject me or what, I'll let you know, thanks again for the help though.
 
When a studio has a batch of accounts it's usually done 1 of 2 ways. The studio can do it all, submit your info etc and then the account number is assigned to you by them from the ones mfc has given them to work with. This is also how they recycle unused accounts. Ever had a strange new model appear in your friends list after someone you knew left or went indy? <-- recycled account.
Next option, you do all the leg work yourself and the studio notify's mfc of your acct as part of their stable and changes the payment info.
If you have full access to your account, check the 'paid to' info. and see what it says. As far as I'm aware, at least in the past, MFC doesn't shave for studios. They pay the studio direct and in full and then the studio pays the model. If you have access to the paid to info, you might be able to change all of that and then change the password to your page while you're setting up a completely new acct.
That said and purely speculating, with the proliferation of all the crap trying to drive traffic for and toward mfc, its possible mfc has also created something like this as a secondary marketing avenue for the additional income. IE; 'mfc recruiting' being paid by 'mfc parent cam site'. No idea on that but at this point, nothing would really surprise me.
 
Just to be on the safe side, I suggest using the link that MFC gave you and sign up again. It can't hurt and at the very least you'll be starting fresh with a new account and new 1000 camscore.

If you're signed up through MFC and not a studio, MFC won't let you create a new account so if you're able to complete the sign-up and get approved for a new account, that means you've been working for a studio.
 
I wouldn't say anything to the studio till you've been paid and have all money owed to you in your own bank account. If you try and quit them and start up an independent MFC account, what's to say they will pay you out the money you've earnt so far?

The same thing happened to me when I started MFC, I worked unknowingly for a studio by a guy who passed him off as someone affiliated with mfc, just like you said. Now MFC account rules and how they handle more than one account, has changed. All I did was delete the old account, and make a new one. What a difference getting .05 makes rather than .04.
 
There are a ton of girls who unknowingly started MFC with a studio and then made new accounts no problem once they realized what was up. CrazyChloe comes to mind and that happened very recently.
 
Well giving you guys an update. I am in fact on a studio account, I went ahead and created a new account to which MFC had no problem approving me and I'll probably be back online tonight. When I spoke to MFC they said that Getpaid2model is a legitimate studio and they (mfc) have no reason to doubt their legitimacy. But it's like I told them, maybe they didn't specifically say that they were MFC but they sure as hellfire made me think they were, and I think that any gal looking to start up with modeling would easily be convenienced as well that they are MFC. It just really pisses me off that I did all the leg work, I basically masturbated because I sure felt like I fucked myself. Anyways, lesson learned, hopefully I will get at least some of the money. I will say that there is no option for "Payment Info" on my account that I can change.

Ok now the studio thing is a very scummy awful thing to do. But jesus! Kind of genius plan from where they stand! I mean I bet girls don't stay on there for long, but they must still make so much money from doing absolutely feck all! and it's not in mfcs interests to stop them as they advertise for new models to come online and mfc still gets paid the same!

If you make 30,000 tokens per month, which isn't a big pay out for mfcs, they get $300 from it! Sorry don't mean to be rubbing it in. But it's like you get dudes who convince their younger girlfriends into prostitution then keep all the cash, totally immoral, but in their eyes, hey, I did pretty much feck all and managed to get all this money for it! Very sneaky way of riding on other people's wages! I wonder what the owner of that website does with his/her time? spend his/her money on mfc girls? lol dammit! this is where the whale tippers come from! Like the opposite to Robin Hood! steal from the poor and give to the rich! .... or if that life?
 
On the plus side of this "studio," at least they don't do what the Eastern European studios do... and take at least 30% if not half of all earnings. But, the Eastern European studios also do photo shoots for their models, give them equipment in rooms to cam with, etc. So in that way, the studios figure they earn their cut.

Not saying that this "studio" is any good, because it does none of that; but at least it's only a penny over 2.5 cents. But, even so, that penny can add up, fast. Also, I'd not call this a "studio" in any real way, except for the fact they take a cut of the models' income that they bring to MFC. Probably just some dude in a room hoping to make bank off of the models' work.

Still, for any Western European, Australian, US, or Canadian model, I would definitely say that avoiding studios at pretty much all costs is the best way to earn the most from camming. Unless the studio in question was also going to give your paycheck with any and all taxes taken out (saves you from the 1099 filings)... which I don't think any studios do.

A lot of the Eastern European girls don't have the option to work on their own, at least at first. Wages in those countries are low, and saving up enough to get a decent laptop/desktop, cam, and good internet at home would take ages. So, for those girls, studios are really their best option in the beginning.

It would, yes. I wrote that up almost right before I fell asleep, so it didn't even occur to me that it was 20%. Basically this "studio," which does nothing more than get the model to the sign up page, gets $20 out of every $100 the models they help sign up earn. And, depending on how much the models earn, well, that can add up very quickly. And they don't even do anything to help the models out, besides have a separate website that links to the model application for MFC.

Gotta hand it to the person who thought of it, though. It's a fairly ingenious way to make free money for himself. He only has to pay for his website, which could be very cheap, and then gets to reap the rewards of any girl who becomes a model on MFC through his site. And he doesn't have to do anything to help the model out... he's still leaving all of the equipment and everything else to the girls. Not that it makes it right, but as an idea to make some free money, it's pretty smart, depending on how many models have used his site to sign up.

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking/wrote in my last post! It's super sneaky, but because technically it's not against mfc rules, it's actually bringing more models to mfcs, so they don't care. So it's also totally genius! Loads of models wouldn't even notice because 0.04 cents a token is still quite a lot!

If they got just 10 girls to sign up and stay on each month, say they average out at earning 40,000 tokens a month each, that's 4 grand in whoever's running the website's pocket. Although I doubt they'd manage to keep that many active cam girls on there for long.

Just an update, I went through with getting a new model name (SouthernSuzie) and had no problems. But I'm REALLY curious about if I'm actually going to see any of that money that I earned. I'll let you know if this guy scams me completely or not. After/If I get my money, I think I may consider writing a blog/website about my experience and steer any and all girls away from this guy's website and onto MFC if they are interested. I'm not pissed at MFC for "not caring" but the guy is deceptively making it out that he's affiliated with MFC. Hell I didn't even know that other girls were making .05 and since I was logging into MFC I didn't have a clue at all until I did research on AmberCutie's forum. Just glad I found out within the first two weeks of being online lol.

My final update on this post. I checked my bank account today. Now, I got paid by MFC Tuesday for my full two days of activity on my Independent Account (YAY ME), and, surprisingly enough today, I got paid for my studio account. I seriously had doubts that I would ever see that $$ but they at least followed through on paying me my .04 rate. So, in all not a terrible experience, at least (thanks to this forum) I learned a valuable lesson and I'm off to a new start.
