Like I predicted a while ago in another thread, Onlyfans wasn't going to last a full year. They are banning adult performers not because they want to get in the appstore, or because they want investors, or any other reason. They have to close up shop but don't want to take the damage to the face by admitting they are closing so they are banning adult creators instead and letting the platform die. This way it will die a death so slow it wont be newsy, it will just slide into irrelevancy and they will cut the costs of running it and save their reputation. Everyone would be wise to withdraw their funds and pray to receive them.
Why do they have to close? I don't think I saw the thread where you mentioned it.

I don’t know the reason, I just knew the fact and timeframe. I made the prediction in August 2020.

Here, I found what I wrote... it was on Models Only and in July 2020.. I was off on my prediction by 2 weeks.

A couple years ago I told everyone on this forum to take their money out from FirstChoicePay months before they went down. I essentially predicted it. You can read that thread here:

https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/threads/take-all-your-money-out-of-firstchoicepay-right-now.30906/

When I said this back in 2018 most models thought I was crazy, making shit up or exaggerating. Nobody heard me until it was too late, then many lost their savings, I’ve heard some models lost 100k+

The reason I could predict it is I have worked with online affiliate marketing for almost 20 years and seen everything that can go wrong plus one, so I can identify patterns pretty quickly when I see them. Firstchoicepay didn’t do or say anything directly that would cause alarm, but I saw plenty of hints in the way they did things.

Now I don’t want to explain in detail here what I consider red flags for Onlyfans because at this point it’s mostly speculation on my part and I know it’s delicate information that shouldn’t be posted in a public forum even behind M.O. I also don’t want to put Amber in an uncomfortable position, however if anyone wants to reach out privately I could explain in more detail my reasoning.

However, this warning I am giving you now is because I have reason to believe Onlyfans is not covering its expenses and it’s using different tactics to buy itself some time. They could make it work but by my assessment the highest probability is they won’t last a full year before they close up shop possibly taking a couple weeks or months of earnings from creators.

So if anyone cares to listen to me this time, keep working Onlyfans full steam as it is the best option to make easy money right now but please withdraw your money as soon as it hits minimum payment, don’t wait on it, keep in mind they could just disappear one day with whatever balance is in your account and keep a plan B for if/when this happens.

Isn't 80% of their revenue from simp content? I think they know what they are doing...

What do you mean by "simp content?" When I see the term "simp" used lately, it's a term that guys on Twitter and Reddit use to describe (Or bash) the men who actually pay cam models/sex workers for their content/services. Surely that's not what you mean.....

The funniest (saddest for the rest of us) part is that the "simps" from Twitch that sub to their booba streamers OFs will probably feel no impact because those girls mainly just show R rated content on their paid pages anyway.

So what's the frontrunner alternative right now? I mostly hear Justforfans but wondering what the consensus is?
I have been on JFF since launch, had a couple of issues here and there, but overall its been decent, they heavily promote gay content which makes a change to most platforms, decent internal traffic, but my numbers on there have always been pretty lackluster compared to onlyfans (although there's a lot more ways to promote within the platform), that might change now though. IMO they have better payout options too. IMO they kind of shot themselves in the foot though, they added so many features to quickly that you really need to set time aside to learn how the platform and all the features work, and even with their new UI it's crazy hard to navigate, for me at least, I can never find what I am looking for on there.
Support used to be really good, like the best support I had from any site but that changed recently when they seem to have expanded the support team, now it's kind of hit and miss

Is this even viable now that there are NO payment processors there? (the Visa/MC thing does not seem to be resolved yet there... and is likely the situation at OF that they're completely changing their content policy to avoid being like PH.)

The only thing we make money off of at PH now is ad revenue from free videos.

Man, that Acceptable Use Policy is absolutely fucking draconian. I suppose my search for a place to be able to pay-gate pinup art continues. Fucking hell.

Yikes, yah seems like they have no payment processor ATM. Honestly I was just throwing possible sites into a list. I hadn't really diged that deep into it.

Maybe the truth is that journalists have been speaking to a fake onlyfans PR person!

The level of hubris and disconnect happening with journalists who have zero experience with the working side of the adult industry is fucking maddening. It's like they're appropriating our problems in order to build sensationalism and seem like they're actually good inclusive feminists who understand and care about us when they can't even be fucked to corroborate sources properly. I'm not even just talking about this particular incident.

And yeah those blacked out email addresses are really sus. How are we better at logical investigation and transparency than people who have actual careers doing this shit?

Whoa... I just found this from the BBC: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-58255865 It reminds me of the PH allegations.

This is from the coverage in a Danish news outlet:

Therefore, the decision to boycott porn is very strange. This is the opinion of Christian Vorre Mogensen, who is a specialist consultant at the Center for Digital Pedagogy and has dealt with OnlyFans and other new platforms:
- I do not see how they should be able to survive. It’s a bit like if the candy store decided to only sell apples, or if Playboy would make a culture podcast, he says.
According to Christian Vorre Mogensen, there is no chance that OnlyFans will be able to continue the success with a focus on cooking, fitness, and music.
- Instagram covers that market really well, and they also have Facebook behind them, he says, and also points to social media such as TikTok and Snapchat, which are also big players that OnlyFans will not be able to compete against.

So much of this is being driven by Operation Chokepoint. It's been around for almost a decade now. Its impetus was supposedly to combat sex trafficking, but as usual all it does it fuck over legit consenting sex workers. It's the reason PH got hit, it helped kill Backpage and the adult sections of Craigslist, it's the reason Onlyfans is bowing to the whims of its payment processors, and it's the reason I'm worried about all the other platforms I might move to from here.

Onlyfans doesn’t use any payment processor, they process payments themselves. They know they were going to close since they rolled out that VAT scheme. Has little to do with “Operation Chokepoint” or with Visa and MasterCard, that’s just the veneer.

I just feel sorry for all models. I mean i got the vibe from others that they made way more from webcamming but this could be a kick in the balls for many in regards to income. I dont know about everyone else but i see people ask models if they have onlyfans way more than say manyvids.
I just hope another site becomes as pop culture as of.

I am not disagreeing, but do you have any ideas on how it is possible to run a business like OnlyFans and not have incredibly high margins? They are taking 20% cream off the top and do none of the content creation. The actual costs of creating and running a website like this get covered very quickly once you can generate more than about $50M in gross profits, which at a multi-billion run rate they certainly must do.

To run their expenses above their revenues would take a very special kind of incompetence or deliberate deception. For a legitimate business it would be nearly impossible.

The articles said two things. First was (if you can believe the ex-employee--though some of BBC's "test" accounts seem to confirm they were not checking content carefully) they were not immediately banning for unquestionably illegal content (labeled child porn, advertising escort services), and the bigger the creator account the more warnings that they gave. Chaturbate is likely ban happy because they need to make sure to not be indirectly involved in anything that might be classified as a crime in the US or EU. One of the articles also said they were trying to get capital to buy out Leonid Radvinsky and so they needed investors to get about $1billon, and venture capital typically won't have anything to do with Adult services.

Has anyone here signed up and started to look at the Chaturbate "Peach.com" site?
I registered as a user, because I know one of the models I follow on OF has seen it and registered, so I just followed her.
I haven't really looked at it yet, but I hope they do good with it.

Registered, yes. Time to look around. no. I did basically so that I could keep on there my same cb username. And also to make sure nobody would use mine. I mean, not that I care or is important whastoever, but If i will ever subscribe to some content at least the model on cb would know that's me. I believe there would be less confusion this way. My 2 cents.

I'm a little worried that in the mad scramble to fill the vacuum OF is leaving behind, they're going to rush this thing too fast and it's going to be a giant mess.
