What should I expect at OnlyFans?

When you are posting paid content, do you find that if it sells, it sells straight away, or do people also scroll back to look at and buy what you have posted before?

I run a free subsricption OF with most content paid for. I try to post daily, but I have not yet quite figured out how the site works, like is it that people only look at the freshly posted content and dont ever scroll back or do some use it as a "video store" where they browse the models feed and buy older stuff too.

This is just what I heard from another model, I only have firsthand experience with anything containing "pegging" not being able to post until I removed the word.

It's also not so much a ban in the way that you'll get in trouble for saying it as it is a banned word list that doesn't allow you to use it at all. So if you can still use milf then it's probably fine and I wouldn't worry about it.

But also, fuck onlyfans.

As a user, I'm curious to know if you kind creators have considered other platforms, such as Fansly? I created an account there to follow some creators, and ended up liking it a lot.

• You can have different subscription tiers, say $5 for mostly PPV, or $200 or something to unlock everything. Anytime you post, you can choose to price it differently, or not at all for different tiers. I think this is how Patreon works too.
• A website that actually feels fast and is pleasant to use. I hate how OF can feel sluggish at times, and sometimes it just fails to work if you have too many media on the same page.
• You can follow creators, which is different from subscriptions.
• It creates a "Made for you" section every day or so - which is like a tiktok-esque reel of content from creators you subscribe to or follow, or you may want to follow - an actual recommendation.
• A lot easier to search for creators using hashtags - although it's still not that great.
• You can actually load up your wallet with bigger amounts at once. For some reason OF now only allows $100 transaction max with $200 wallet limit - not sure if it is just me, but it didn't used to be like this before. Banks freak out with too many transactions if you end up spending more vs fewer bigger transactions.

Ofc, I'm not too familiar with their rev share, verification system or their user base. Just sharing my perspective.

However since Onlyfans is more known it'll always be a better/more profitable place for models to go just due to its "google-ablity". I've been a cam girl for over 13 years, so anyone who remembers my name, and also knows of onlyfans (which is a higher amount than fansly) can google "ambercutie onlyfans" and find me/subscribe.

Yes she was the one to spur their bank restrictions. And the MC/Visa issue at Pornhub was probably a big reason they had to change their verificaton/ID issues. (In case you were curious I wasn't arguing your point, just backing it up since yes OF has had to lock down stuff recently to ensure their longevity in the industry.)

Fansly is doing MUCH better since they added tags and a good discovery tool. If you make niche fetish content they're more lenient. And generally, I'm now making the same as my OF there.

But i will keep both, OF is still so much better known.

I'm by no means an OF expert, but I like using the platform and find it complementary to live camming. But it takes work and organization. With camming, when you're ready to go, you pretty much just hit "broadcast" and you're in business (OK, it's more than that, but I hope you get my drift). With OF and the other fans sites you need to spend time preparing content and lining things up. The good news is you can schedule posts for later, so you can sit down and prepare a bunch of content, and then let it get posted bit by bit over time.

At least in my experience, the viewers want videos way more than still photos. I'll get a few likes with photos, but way more activity with the videos. The videos don't need to be professional, they can be amateur with your phone. I post photos for free and have the videos as PPV. Some people have both a free account with PPV, as well as a paid account.

When I get a request for a custom video, if it's something that I think others will also want to see, I just tell them I'll make the video and post it for them and others. That saves time with making custom videos, as others here have mentioned.

As far as I know, you can cross-market between OF and the cam sites. In my Chaturbate shows I post my OF info in my rotating notifier. One of my best tippers on Chaturbate is someone I message with on OF. But if this isn't allowed, someone tell me, I want to stay on the right side of things!

So, whilst they seem to be lenient with regards to OF, it is in their code of conduct not to allow it. So they can ban you for it and there is little you can do about that. To stay safe, I created allmylinks profile and just post that on the notifer and in my bio. With that, wording matters too - at least according to SC. You may say "Go check out allmylinks" but you may not say "my is OF on allmylinks"

This make me unreasonably angry. I saw a model on CB and she was wearing onlyfans socks. Another broadcasts with an OF pillow on her chair.

If the sites would offer us a bigger cut or more contests or personal achievements awards we wouldn't need peripheral sites like OF in the first place.

CB launched Peach and then completely forgot about developing it further. It's a barely functioning pic/video site.

Onlyfans took off quickly and I think invested in very aggressive marketing. In Italy it is like this.
I hear many complaints from performers about the rigidity of verifications and payments.
As a Webmaster I can only give a neutral opinion so I won't go too far.
They didn't approve my account for collaboration so I decided to review alternative sites. Sites that I would have reviewed anyway.
What I can say for sure:
there are other more permissive and more amateur adult social networks
working only on an adult social network doesn't seem like a good idea to me, it's better to have 3 platforms where you can sell photos and video clips, even if this involves double work.

Besides custom rates they might've been asking for a list of your PPV videos with prices if you sell those or rates for dick ratings, sexting sessions or things like femdom tasks if you do those. That's what I've seen on other people's menus at least.
