I was travelling for work this week and found myself in a remote motel, no streaming tv services, watching reruns of 80's series Moonlighting.
Had completely forgotten how much I originally enjoyed that show, but it was great nostalgia rediscovering it, the interesting characters and undeniable chemistry between Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd.

I found a 2013 documentary on a streaming service called That’s Sexploitation, a 2+ hour documentary on the history of adult content in film. It’s been very interesting, so far.
They explain the various codes and laws over the years, and the ways filmmakers would get around the attitudes and limitations of each era. Tying in things like hygiene or cautionary tales as an excuse to show skin. That type of thing.
I’m always interested in learning about the history behind established industries. This has been informative.

I have a relative staying with me at the moment. They don't have Netflix (yet).
In 2 days, they have powered through all 3 seasons of Bridgerton, and I just found them watching the 1990's BBC version of Pride & Prejudice.
While I didn't linger around, and despite it not being my usual taste in TV shows, that version of P&P (Colin Firth, Jennifer Ehle) is fantastic IMO and it really deserves another viewing

It’s great so far, and Ricardo Darin nails it in the lead role as expected. This Argentinian graphic creation finally gets the TV respect it truly deserves. On many levels it’s very much like any apocalyptic story, but the nuances and intertwining story lines are so Argentinian, from the Caserolazo road block, to power outages, and card games. I’m impressed so far.

Yes. And since I posted that before I was finished watching, I should revise my thoughts a bit. It was informative about the history of that industry, but only partially. It’s all from the POV of the (pretty sleazy) people that ran the industry. Nothing at all from the performers’ perspective. And given the focus on the exploitation aspect, I have a feeling that side of the tale might be pretty grim.
I also could have done without seeing some of the old footage. They could have explained the history without showing some of it over again, which felt like a re-exploitation of sorts. So yes… partially informative, but overall, not a fan of the way they presented things. At all.
I just watched that movie BabyGirl and it was intense. Not what I was expecting. I was very surprised and I quite enjoyed it, anyone else see this movie? I only saw it because my mom was talking down about it saying it was about Porn and how she didn't want to see it, so it intrigued me into watching it. Its on HBO/Max.
Been watching Andor and I have to say- it’s really good. I’m not a massive fan of the Star Wars saga, I can’t really deal with it all but really enjoying this one.

I have seen the odd couple of episodes, it was good enough to watch because it was on but not something I would go out of my way to watch the whole series. Does kind of depend what you like though, some people love it, I would just throw on the first episode and see how it goes.
If you liked the clips you saw then yes it's worth watching, it's a whole lot of that.
It's never lupus until it's lupus. He really doesn't give two fucks about anyone else's opinion until his opinion backfires so...pretty much the perfect example of patriarchy in medicine. I didn't like it.
It gets repetitive and over talkative. Hospital shows often do.

Just finished watching Waterworld, had never seen it before. If you think about it too much it's an awful movie full of holes in the plot (like the bad guys in the movie smoking cigarettes, but it's a world that hasnt had land for so long that land is a myth so where do they get the tobacco from for the cigarettes for one example, theres another pretty big example but it would also spoil the movie for anyone that hasnt seen it), but if you turn off any thinking and just watch it, it's a really enjoyable film, very mad max on water.
I saw it in the movie theater in 1995. It was so bad, but in a way that we couldn't stop laughing.
