Hey,

is it allowed to sell contents (fotos, short videos) during public / pvt shows via insta / tele / whatsapp etc. in exchange for tokens.

Me and user recieved a warning with the codewords "framing site / communication".
The support was super fast, but did not answer our exact questions and always relies to read the Terms, but they are (including Appendix C) vaguely worded with regard to this topic.

To sum up: communication was always on CB via PM, only tokens! were used, contact details were even purchased via the profile.

I just want to know the exact trigger that caused this message, to avoid further problems, when broadcasting.

Thanks for your help!

@punker barbie I want to follow up (as i got informed that you work for CB or are at least associated with them) that my main question is if you could simply explain me my following questions, which I am unable to answer within the Terms and Appendicies:

- is getting asked (and responding as a model) for contact details like whatsapp / ig / tele considered as "Directing communications outside of the Chaturbate platform", when communcation solely happens via PM?
- is selling content such as fotos on stream considered "Directing communications outside of the Chaturbate platform" when TOKENS were used as a exchange method and communcation solely happens via PM (so social media just serves as a "method of sharing the content"?

Thank you so much!

Hey culminey.

So just so you know, no one associated with CB will be answering your questions here, so nothing here is official and you should ultimately rely on what CB tells you via their support team.

Would you care to share what did you ask support and what did they answer you? I'm curious about why you would think it'd be different if whatever picked their attention happened in PM rather than in public messages. I'm gonna say, just in case, that PM may as well stand for PublicMessage. Admins, mods, support. They can see ALL the messages and same goes for all the streams too, at any time.

You are allowed to be asked and answer about your socials if you do it properly by directing the users to get them from your profile.

I'm sure there are people here that know actual info, like specifics. Hopefully somebody else answers as I'd like to know too.

Anyway, don't ignore the warning and try not to engage on those topics until you have them figured out. What I mean is that if you repeat the same behavior (whatever it is), even if you're not aware of it, it could get you banned. And that's a whole different ordeal.

...well......it used to be allowed and probably technically still is but I can only imagine AI would easily flag parts of that conversation as trying to take business offsite.

@punker barbie @melissa_tv Thanks for your help. I asked support twice and i somehow only get AI generated (i assume) answers like: "we checked again and yes the message was not an error, please read terms and if you have questions ask us". So I stopped asking them the third time.

I am super super concerned, because I used to do this kind of content for months without problems (yes i know, maybe it got never deteced, thats why i was asking here) and all i could find in the terms and appendicies is: "content only in exchange of tokens" -> i did that, never used paypal or anything (i would never share my private account to users :D) and secondly ->Directing communications outside of the Chaturbate platform (that was the warning message) -> there was no directing communcation outside of the platform like saying "lets talk not here" (my chat with the user is only fotos and short videos taken during livestreaming).

Tu sum up, me and my users never wrote anything like "lets not talk here on cb", "lets discuss things more privately". There were conversations such as "what about XY tokens for this kind of foto?", and i said yes.

To your questions @melissa_tv : i asked the support exactly what i wrote within the 2 bullet point in my second message of this post. And yes, I know that PM only means outside of public chat, but it is of course open for mods, studio, admins, support.

And yes, I am now super curious and I have to shift using this website massively with users, because I was thinking the whole time after reading the terms that "paying with tokens, talking via PM" and delievering content on social media is not a problem. Giving me proper answer would have solved the issue completely, now I am just restricted in doing such content (while I see other broadcaster doing live webcamshows via whatsapp....)

Maybe someone else got a proper answer to a similar issue, I am afraid of asking a third time, maybe it was flagged by AI as you said and they just don´t know it either.

It´s just frustrating being a model and getting a warning "Directing communications outside of the Chaturbate platform to avoid connections with potential violations, if you have any questions be free to ask" and all i get is to read the terms.

@cbhours thanks for your input (btw love your websites, they are great ;)), so you assume it was AI flagged and they rather say take care then "sorry mistake"?

Thanks a lot! Have a nice day!

I don't think selling videos/photos on other platforms is allowed since it is possible that they contain material that is not allowed on CB. At least that is what that warning implies

Safest way to sell those is through CB or don't even mention it on CB. Since they have purchased access to your other platform just discuss it on there. They can still tip you the tokens you asked for on CB

I understand! They want to "avoid" that they are responsible if anything happens.

I don´t want to be picky neither do I want to find a "bottleneck", but it is still not mentioned-> "Independent Broadcasters may exchange information with Community Members, including contact information, but Independent Broadcasters MAY NOT use Community Members' information to provide webcam shows or receive payments outside" as well as "If you elect to interact with any Community Member outside of the Platform in a way that does not violate these Terms, you do so at your own risk, and you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for any consequences of your election to interact with anyone"
OK, if someone would do a 20 minute video (which i don´t do) that would be counted like a webcam show, but fotos and 5-10 second videos? I dont know.

@darthro yes that´s what we do, we never mentioned any social media and anyhow me and the user got the warning and it happened at this day where i only interacted with this one user.

Now I am still more worrited to even give users my social for free when they ask me for it (without buying it). I give it to them usually also to inform them when i come online/or not.

OK. No you can't sell shows on other platforms and accept payment for the show with tokens. It doesn't matter if it's photos or 5 second videos. Just like you can't accept gift cards for shows, either.

The approved platforms are listed in the "edit bio page" link.

If someone asks for socials, direct them to your bio for available sites. Then don't say another word about it.

Thanks for clarification. So also in a pvt show doing fotos for users counts as a show in a show and should be avoided?

Thank you, I will then completely direct them to my profile and then using this social platform during Pvt shows e.g. is forbidden right? It´s a way of communicating OUTSIDE of being on CB?

Correct. It will always appear that you are trying to avoid the security systems in place on Chaturbate to discuss things you shouldn't or sell things you shouldn't.

I may answer messages on OF while I'm broadcasting on CB but it's usually not with anyone who is actually in the room at the time and I don't discuss it on CB at all.

Unfortunately you will see people get away with it but you're not them and you've already received warnings. <3 Happy camming.
