M/55 here... very new to this world. Question for you all? Do exhibitionists drive down earnings? I have collected about a hundred favorites and as I sort through them I am astonished by the difference in what a girl will do (and won't) do in public chat. This fascinates me from a demand/supply perspective and I was wondering if this was annoying to the pro's who treat this like work versus a girl who gets off on this for practically free? Or is there a different payment mechanism I'm missing? Interestingly, I find my preference is for girls who has mystery and intrigue and is actually "hard to get" (which was opposite my expectations about myself when I signed on, always continually learning, I guess lol!) Oh also, I'm kind of a finance/econ nerd so I guess this is why I ask. Sorry, if it's a stupid question, tell me to delete it haha.

Interesting question :) I would like to see if you get any replies. I know there are definitely various different ways that the models make a living on these platforms. Everything from tips in public shows, to those preferring privates, group shows or "video dates".

As a finance nerd you might find Statbate interesting. (Am I allowed to say that on here? It is public information, right? Please, no offense meant to any models)

Personally I prefer an environment where it does not seem like the model is working. I know this is a job and the models have to earn a living. But the fantasy sort of fades when she is "working" too hard if you know what I mean? It's also just more fun with a positive up beat vibe in a room, with a smiling model that looks like she is having fun :)

I couldn't care less about what they do or don't do. The people in an exhibitionist room aren't going to be in a paid room. And probably vice versa.

Very rarely, these days, does a customer base cross over from one model to another.

To a degree but not as much as you would think. An exhibitionists show (generally) is about them and doing what gets them off, a model charging for a service, the show (again generally) is about whoever is paying and getting that person off. So they are generally different audiences.

Thank you! Excellent recommendation and I did hear about Statbate recently, maybe here or reddit, although a cam model wrote that it is wildly inaccurate (iirc, she said something like, "there is no way I could live off that number, lol, it's way too low") so I have to look into it further. Also, I totally agree, I am drawn to models who genuinely appear engaged and like the work (lifestyle?) regardless of the nudity or level of sexual activity - vibe is everything! :)

Thank you, I appreciate the inside opinion, a lot! It would make sense that a customer base would prefer a particular genre/style/vibe and would stay pretty loyal.

However, I might be in the minority because I have pretty pronounced ADHD/prospecting tendencies and I can be a squirrel leaping from room to room. Sincere apologies, because I have read cam models find this behavior very annoying (constantly popping in and out of a room) so I make sure to tip when I do this.

Yes, it's ok when you tip decently for doing this. What we don't like are guys coming in and out of our rooms 1 million times a night (obviously fapping), then getting a 2-minute show at the end. It's not just about paying, it's about paying enough for the level of service and time you are consuming. ADHD here too. Yeah, being understimulated is tough, but I like hearing you are compensating others for helping you with this and not consuming content in an entitled way, as so many others try to do.

I do want to remind anyone out there reading this that if they do that on a private-based site, like the one I work on, the model still may end up banning you for this. I have guys who do that, and end up dropping $5 every week. Yet they are in and out of my room, distracting me from important conversations for hours per night. Just paying isn't enough (for all models) only paying adequately is enough for some of us. I'll block a cheap person whether they've paid me or not, because often they don't pay enough for the disruption and irritation they are causing me, in my room. Just to keep it real with you. If I get irritable and in a bad mood and fuck up a $300 sale, because of a bunch of shrimps popping in and out, getting on my last nerve (maybe spending $1 per night), all them shrimps going Bye, byes. So it doesn't happen again.

The only clients who get away with that in my room, are people who have a history that involves spending $1000s with me already.

Qualifier: This may be totally different on token sites, though. And will absolutely vary from model to model.

from my understanding and experience chaturbate has always had an exhibitionist option. if it was driving earning down for the site and their models, it would no longer be a feature.
