I am new here! I've known about these chats for some time! & Finally decided to make an account & post! I am a streamate model! I've been working for streamate for a little over a year now & I LOVE MY JOB ON THIS SITE and all my customer's! I do fairly well here! I have noticed the more popular i am getting here on the site the more people I have coming into my room! saying other models are saying things about me or I have even had other models come into my room and talk trash! But, for what? I have never been one to watch other models or see what's going on! Unless it's a contest time so to who is ranked where and how I can get higher in the contest! But, lately I have been browsing around the site to see what's going on with this! I have been into multiple model's room & they are saying how other people/models have been messing with them as well! Look we are all here to make money & have fun while doing it! If everyone on this site would worry about themselves and what's happening in their own room we would all make a little more money! Instead of wasting our energy on trying to see who is better or who you want to sabotage! Also, just a little word of advice I have seen recently models showing stuff for free just to get people into a show with them! In the long run that hurts you! Make them pay for it! your gonna keep getting the same type of people who want things for free! Every Model on this site literally has the potential to be number one! There is literally someone for everyone on this site! Guys/Women like all kinds of different shows! what I don't do someone else on the site might!! Seriously stop watching other models and I promise we would all make more money if we worry about our own rooms! I've also saw alot of comments about low pay and slow days! some days are just slow it doesn't really have anything to do with you! I average about $150 per hour on busy months/weeks! on any slow week or slow period my hourly drops to about $70 per hour! sometimes even $50! we all have slow days and bad week but going into other model's room won't help! Leave Everyone alone and let them do their own thing! Unless you are there to support another model or say something nice it's just not cool! This is literally some of our lively hoods and how we feed our children!

Nothing wrong with watching other models' rooms, as long as you're not doing it so that you and your members can trash-talk other models who are live. No need for anyone to be acting like a Mean Girl on these sites. I think it's best to watch other models' rooms in guest mode (not on your model account) and when you're not currently broadcasting. Unless you feel like tipping them...then of course log into your premium account (If you have one) and tip. Just don't be in there announcing to the world "I'm a model too!" and bragging about your raffle/current specials/etc. That shit's tacky.

& that’s horrible someone came into your room saying those things! Sorry to hear! I’ve had the same thing! Most of the time is people coming into my room saying another models name directly and saying this model told me to come to you for this, ect! It’s been happening to me almost every time I’m on line! They say the model/models name but I won’t say their name here either in case it wasn’t them and just some dude being a troll on the site!

I am glad you found streamate to be a good site for you. The drama you mention in your post about other models, that’s going to happen no matter which site. I will say the Modelsplaining to models is somewhat off putting in your post though.

Just about every model on here will tell you that inter model drama exists and the best thing to do is to block/report/ignore the negativity from that model that is harassing you. Members that stir up model drama, block them as well.

Focusing on your own room is the best thing a model can do. But by no mean is it bad if you are just viewing other models room in guest mode. I think we all do that at some point, especially on front page models, just to see why their room is so attractive or to get an idea of what new things we could implement in our own rooms.

I'm confused. Streamate doesn't tolerate model harassment on their site... it's against their model code of conduct. If models are even harassing you off-site, you report them still so streamate is aware of their behavior. Depending on how shitty the harassing model is being, the site will handle accordingly.

And why do you care what other models do "for free" in their room? There is an abundance of free porn out there on the internet. There is a button you can toggle to stop model accounts coming into your room. I'll go look it up for you. But remember a lot of models have member accounts too. That being said, many will come in and tip you generously and try to cheer you up if you are having a bad day or seem sad. So, yes, jealousy and sabotage definitely exists, but on the flipside so does kindness, helpfulness and concern too. Plus some other stuff, if you're bi or not hetero...if you know what I'm saying. Model on model crushes are VERY real, and vigorously thriving!! I will add a screenshot to this thread when I find where that button was again. I have mine set to off.

ETA; Uuuuuuuugh Fucking A, it's gone. I just looked in chat preferences as well as account settings on the dashboard, and it's nowhere. So... yeah... there used to be a button you could toggle years ago, to stop other models from coming in your room/ ban all other active model accounts from your stream. If I am somehow missing it now, can someone else please screenshot it, post it in this thread or DM me, if they have it? I'll be super grateful.

Also just so everyone knows, different SM features show up in different browsers too. It's like a Goddamn riddle fully figuring out this site, I swear.

Sorry, I posted all of that with MyFreeCams in mind. Lol. I don't remember there being an option for that on Streamate. I thought that if other models were in your SM room while you're broadcasting, they were in there under a member's account they'd made for themselves? During the 2020 pandemic, I'd logged into my SM member account sometimes to tip my friend Goddess_aphrodite and keep her company in the free chat because she's funny as hell. When I logged into my SM model account to cam, I don't remember it even being possible to see the SM homepage of live models. Maybe I'm trippin'.

I understand how intimidating it can be to watch other models..you can "block models" but everyone knows you can't block models from watching your streams. Just interacting. What I have a problem. With is this... Stealing shows, tip menus and customers, original ideas. Alot of it is brought on by studios working as teams to come grab your shit when you are hot in the ranks. I think it's important to safe guard your shit like not sharing your highest tippers, their names, etc. No, you should be more concerned about your own shows and focus on what you are doing. What you like doing verse what guys like. Surfing cam girls for me is more of a learning experience to see how top cam girls get that money . There is a lot of finesse tons of silver lining in every site and tons of different strategies. You have to be consistent and realizable but not so consistent they get bored and you get sick and tired. I bounced between the short shows and long 6 hour shifts. When guys see you running a business with goals in life outside of camming. They support you. Some are great at sales and have mastered their own strategies to manage their income. The sky is the limit. I have ranked high up before and I've also dropped. I appreciate the advice of never give anything away for free. The goddess the princess. Guys don't want you thirsty and desperate they want you happy and relaxed enjoying yourself and others. Making $1 an hour is rough, but we all start somewhere. Sometimes it is useful to watch other cams and see the strategies. Invest in your business . Have goals. Complete them to show reliability. And more than anything have fun. Looks aren't everything In this business . It's not like we walk into a club throw on make up and heels and money falls from the sky. We are responsible for not only technical work lighting computers mics keyboards. We are running an entire production with one person if you don't work for a studio or have help. It's a lot of time sacrifice patience work and preservernce. Long hours outside of broadcasting saying updated both in technology obs and porn trends that you can find what works for you . Thing I learned In Camming is to do what YOU like. Not what They like or want . Your personal finance and happiness depend on it. I like being creative and I hate playing games. I'm not super playful and flirty either. I find what works for me . I fuck around with BDSM and that in itself is very challenging to build that business of generating income to live on . Fine what you like and what is popular to match . Show up when scheduled and take days for yourself . The internet has ups and downs and the sex industry alone can be mentally taxing. It's a fucked up cruel world but you gotta have thick skin and keep moving forward. I try to not self defeat . Or compare myself to others. I surf cam girls to match prices for actions I do and like. Actually, adding on to that my number one biggest reason to watch other models is for outfit ideas! If I watch other models I usually don't want them to know I'm one as well so I go incognito browser or use a different username that's not female sounding if I'm tipping. I always hate when female usernames lurk in my room/chat and talk about their vaginas even when they make it sound like I'm turning them on. In my room, only my vagina will be talked about lol. So I assume a lot of the other models I see feel the same way. I don't want to steal their tippers, just get inspired to make my own room better.

I always look for better camera angles, how they chat, outfits, backgrounds etc and how I can adapt to make my show better. I've had some models copy my show too and it used to bother me but I just focus on my room now. I really don't get the model drama of one model shit talking another. Because it's a personal preference, and there's nothing wrong with that. We models all need to do what's best for us, and what we're comfortable with. You've gotta try to not take that personally. Plus, you said that you use member accounts anyway to visit models, so that's good. When models stop by and start saying things like "Hey, I'm a model on here too!" and talking about how awesome their cam day was and mentioning their current raffle, I think that's tacky.

I also remember how annoying it used to be when men would realize that there are two women in the chat, and then start making suggestions that we "should do some g/g shows together." *Sigh* Then if you politely tell them no, you're a solo model...while the other model happens to say "Yeah, I'd totally be down for that!," now you've got dudes looking at YOU like you're a total party-pooper and no fun at all.
