(Which could be almost all of us as I think most of the models spend at least a small percentage of time on market research)

How did you become a spectator/spender on live webcams? What initially drew your attention to the live aspect?

Asking for a friend.... 😏

Replying for a friend  :

How did you become a spectator/spender on live webcams? What initially drew your attention to the live aspect?
Many reasons:
- I can't practice the main part of my profession due to covid. I'm a techno liveact used to play a lot in clubs. Part of my show was sexy dancing with me and two models (I'm in no way famous or high profile). So sexyness is a part of my artistic expression. All my music evolves around it. One Model I worked with is thinking about becoming a Cam Model. She introduced me to the whole thing and she is still trying to get me to become a model because she sais I can turn people on while I dance. So I looked into camming and got a lot of ideas.
- I was lurking without tipping for 2 months, finally had a bad feeling to not contribute. I got so much fun and inspiration for my own line of work that I couldn't justify just being a grey. Still not tipping much, but as much as I can without ruining myself.
- Covid. I'm not lonely per se. But now sometimes I am. Camming models, especially those who spread positivity and fun make me smile and I think laughter and fun is good against cancer :).
- Other reasons: Pleasure, satisfaction and a bit adventure.

What makes you stay around?

- Sense of humor: Why do some girls hold their hand before their mouth when they laugh?(*) I think that's a pity because there is nothing more beautiful than a laughing person. Sense of humor for me means being able to laugh about yourself. There is something very sexy about it. And it makes the whole thing unpredictable. (see next point) Clowns are heroes.
- Variety: I think its boring when you go to a room and exactly know what you get. I'm sure other people may think otherwise. For me its perfect when a model changes some things like every week or so. Can be the setting, can be outfit. But mostly things a model does should change without her overstepping her boundaries. (see next point)
- Adventure: I don't know if that is a common practice. But I know of a model who set her boundaries a bit lower than she would normally. She states that she wouldn't take of her panties, but in very special and rare moments she does. That's making me stay and spend.
- And of course there is this thing called beauty. Can't explain that. It's magic. And a different thing for everyone.

This is just a small selection of the things I could write here. If I'd write a complete answer I'd have to roll out my whole personality here.

(*): I think its because not long ago it has been deemed inappropriate for women to laugh in public. Amazing how these things keep hold on us.

Thanks for taking the time to answer and talking freely about your experience. It's all great information but especially the quoted text above. I think that is really important. Especially the bit about setting your general shows lower than you are willing to go on occasion. With the guests in the room hoping it will go that little bit further... what a great tip 👌💡

How did you become a spectator/spender on live webcams? What initially drew your attention to the live aspect?
I never thought much of camsites. Never been there and never thought it could be interesting. Why I did visit a camsite the first time was because a model I bought video's from on Manyvids, sold them cheaper on her Share (MFC). So i just came there to buy them there.
We started talking a bit, like she asked what I thought about the videos
After a while I enjoyed her company and the members were nice too so I stayed around.

I completely changed my view on camsites. The one-on-one interaction can't be beaten. I've even completely stopped watching porn, it just doesn't do anything for me anymore. The only exception are vids made by models.
I look forward of seeing my favorite model. I enjoy talking to her and tipping for things.

What makes you stay around?
I think most visitors only want to see hot women do sexy stuff. I'm more interested in the social side of things. Yes I do like sexy stuff, but that's not the main reason I visit a certain room. Here a few of my reasons to go/stay in a room:

Camera quality: grainy video is just annoying to watch. I want a clear picture
Looks ofcourse: Everyone has their own opinion of what they find attractive. So if it fits my view, I will stay
Behaviour on-screen: If she sits boring looking at the screen, I get bored too. I like it if a model is energetic and enjoys herself
Personality: I like it if she talks about herself. Even if it's boring stuff like painting a door or something. 90% of the models I visit ask me how the weather is and where I'm from. Not exactly interesting topics
Welcoming room: It's just like visiting a friend 'in the real world'. I nice cozy, not-messy room is more pleasant to be in
Sexy clothing: Same as the room, attractive/sexy is more welcoming
Tip options: I like it if there are many things to choose from and don't have to ask 'how much for this, how much for that
Reasonable prices: The top models ask for high prices, but I'll avoid those rooms. I'm not a cheapskate, but I have a price in my head what I'm willing to pay

I think this could be a fascinating topic.

Personally, I started about 6 months ago after reading an article about people going to cam rooms due to COVID. I knew what they were, but had never spent much time on them. Now I go on at least every other day.

There are so many different, successful, models, with completely different approaches to their work. I can only conclude that there are a lot of different kinds of viewers out there. I think the Ahegao face is the stupidest thing I ever saw, but it's on a lot of tip menus so it must be popular. I'm not into feet, and writing my name on your ass doesn't do anything for me.

Personally, I like rooms with models who can hold a conversation and are interesting, this makes everyone better looking. Not fond of over the top outfits or full screen pussy cam. I won't even glance at a room with models putting on makeup, or not showing their face.

But that's just me.

I know CB for 3 years now but never took the effort to spend any cent at it until a few months ago. In december I spent 12k tk at two models , this month I spent >4k tk, bougth her a choker on amazone and a lush at lovense for one specific model i met in december. I don't want to brag about it, it's not something where i'm proud on it. It just happened. With the question that is posed here i wanna reflect at my actions and asked myself why? thank you for that.
How did you become a spectator/spender on live webcams? What initially drew your attention to the live aspect?
I'm a sexualy active guy but my wife unfortunately isn't, so I'm sitting now for some years with my hunger. She knows i look at pornsites (I guess most women know that about their husbands but do not always show) but after a while, yeah you know. First i thought CB was just another pornsite like one of the many, nothing much interesting, so I ignored it most of the times. Until a few months ago, I guess COVID has something to do with it, less social contacts, sitting home, watching internet etc so i entered CB and bought me some tokens just for trying. I discovered a model, a real natural beauty, so we began talking in chat and she almost told me everything about her life, and how she became a model etc. I was so fascinated about this story (could be fake I know, but than it sounded so true) So i supported her. Three weeks later I met another model. I was blown away by her beauty. she was new, broadcasting for a day or three. I gave her immediatly, without hesitation 1k tks and she's the one i bought all that stuff for. I got even further than chatting with her, instagram videotalks, exchange of photo's etc. I can tell you, a whole new world opened.

What makes you stay around?
I know all this is ending. I'm not trying to have an affaire with a model. But seeying them naked, undressing for you, seeying them with the things you bought for them, yes, that makes me come back again and again and again and makes me even spend more. Can't help it. And mayb I have to go in therapy when this stops, well I really had some fun, my sexualy eiger has getting more satisfied and i can do it without actualy having contact.

another thing that i want to add to this conversation is an advise to others. Please always be carefull in how far you can/will go. Spending a lot of money on a model is OK as long as you can afford it. Also take in account that there are other people around you, respect them. In case if you think, your partner accepts your behavior (and i don't think that happens very often, but i'm in luck that she does) talk about it (no details oc), it will help you canalize your thoughts and expenses, because I must admit it is addictive.

For me, it was very simple. I was looking for free porn on google and would go from one "tube" to another but then stumbled on Chaturbate.
At first, I thought it was fake and too good to be true, real, live models... to me the concept was new and just bizarre. All I was used to was the recorded scenes (amateur and professional).

I looked around and liked a lot of women, I ended up registering and then watching a few models. One, in particular, was just very stunning and really nice to everyone (she was not a very popular model, she had no amazing setup, and she was from Ukraine). This/She got me to start buying some tokens to see what it was like and how it would work. I never took models to private for a very long time because I was worried or paranoid, not sure what about exactly but I enjoyed tipping and interacting in public with the model.

Then I just stuck around and visited more models, seeing what was available, what happens, etc. Basically "what is what".

Eventually, I realised I was sticking with the women that seemed to be nice and not (for a lack of a better word - sorry) "bitchy".
Part of my growing up I was surrounded by those bitchy type of women, so this was just amazing for me and I realised "wow, not all hot women ARE horrible to guys". And it just stuck/grew from that.
Now it's part of that, along with having a nice laugh with the models too, I enjoy listening to their experiences for everything (good and bad, or funny and weird). It's also nice knowing that despite we may be thousands of miles apart from different backgrounds, we do have many things in common (simple things like humour, food, drink, i dunno, stuff like that and more).

For me it's all about them having fun, me having fun and us thriving of each other. Be that sexually or jokes, or just plain conversations.
I have been very surprised so many times with lots of models that kind of look a bit... stuck up or I dunno how to explain it, but then when you actually start talking, laughing, telling your [bad/annoying] jokes, they actually like them too, and they come back with some just as stupid, if not more stupid and weird. It's great. It's really great to get to see that side of a model without having to know them too personally.

Life can/does suck/s, so it's nice being able to be worlds apart and still laugh, regardless of what your experiences are, how similar everything else is between you, and to just enjoy.
For me personally, I don't care about if a model does the same thing over and over, although I will admit it is good to have some variety and spice things up, even if slightly. But for me personally, it's not a deal-breaker at all.

(And we love it when you compliment us too, by the way ladies, so if you have regulars, feel free to compliment them, they will love it and you will put a smile on their face too and want to come back to annoy and tip you more lol)

Edit: For the record, obviously I DO love seeing the model naked, playing, blah blah too, and I do need to be physically attracted as well. I am not going to pretend like I do not, of course, I do.
But it's not purely (which I was truly surprised at when I realised it) about how attractive the model is, how amazing their body is, etc

Uhh... answering in a long-winded and rambling way also for a friend :wasntme:
How did you become a spectator/spender on live webcams?
So I think I first heard about camsites indirectly through PornHub. I was browsing porn as a horny teen does, and saw a video that had MFC or something of that sort in the title. I saw a comment that mentioned "[somename] from MFC." I checked out what MFC was and I remember being shocked about it being a thing and never knowing about it. That being said, I'm in my mid-20s now. When I learned about the site those years ago as a teen, I wasn't living on my own with a full time job, so of course I wasn't going to pay / couldn't pay for anything. I didn't even create an account. I maybe lurked every once in awhile briefly, but that was it. At some point, I then learned that there was a whole myriad of camsites (i.e. CB), and this was its whole thing.

Fast forward to some months ago. Up to this point, I had only vaguely browsed camsites (mostly CB, occasionally MFC). Nothing really immediately caught my eye though, and I didn't have an account, so I just sort of lurked for a little and then left. Two or three months ago though, I happened to see a woman on there that happened to be like my perfect type--like 'what are the odds' kind of levels. (She was brand new, like it was her second day on.) I was still a lurker though, and didn't have an account. I sort of dropped often by as an anon for a good long while. I didn't have the most stable of jobs then (it was the training phase for my current job, where they weed a LOT of people out), so I didn't feel comfortable spending extra on a camsite. I usually am pretty conservative money unless it's something I really want. I never paid for anything porn related before. I aced the training, got the much better paying job, and decided to create an account and go for it-- about a month and half or two months ago. I figured that there was always a chance she was there just paying for school or whatnot, so if I didn't go for it now, there is a good chance I'd lose the chance. I went for a private with the model, and turns out we really clicked personality-wise too.

The TL;DR; I became spectator/spender mainly by chance. A model happened to click well for what I like, so I stayed and became a regular tipper.

What initially drew your attention to the live aspect?
Well, over the years I found the artificial aspect of professional porn to be more and more... idk, bothersome (if that's the right word)? Don't get me wrong, I understand a lot of camming still has artificial aspects-- I'm not stupid, but it still felt a lot more real than the typical video of a pro pornstar. There was that, and also a couple interviews on YouTube of models I saw that really drew me in. (One was of MissAlice, and the other was of a model that chose to have their face blurred out.) Seeing the models outside of their rooms speaking (presumably) honest thoughts, both good/bad/dark, on things gave a real human aspect to camming and to the models. This human aspect of it really attracted me to cams, not necessarily the live feedback aspect. Again, this sounds cliche, but while I like the physical aspect, I like the emotional aspect the most, and that works out best on a camsite. The biggest turn-on for me is when I know that both sides are enjoying themselves, and it isn't just a one-way street going either way. Again, I'm vanilla as hell, can't help it lol.

What makes you stay around?
(Theres millions to choose from what keeps you loyal to those select few?)
As cliche/cheesy as it sounds, I came for the looks of the one room I visit, and stayed for the personality. Sounds weird coming from a CB member, but I enjoyed she didn't go with dirty talk, and that things started off a little more conservatively, plus she didn't ask explicitly/suggest for tips (-- yes I did tip though lol). In fact, it actually makes me want me to spend more whenever she expressed concern about me saving tokens or not lol. It felt a lot more genuine for my vanilla-as-hell self. (She's non-nude so she is limited in what she'll do explicitly, but honestly, chatting about random common interests like movies or music is my favorite part, so a lot of the pvt tends to become that.) I started doing a daily two privates + sometimes an extra (one or two full price, and one always at the very end with a cheaper price) and became the top regular over time with what my budget allowed. It's something like 62 privates so far and counting, plus PM-ing more or less from start to stop of her shift, plus the occasional "honorary spending whale day" for special occasions like my birthday, or a movie day, or whatever to basically do a full-day/no-spy private and piss off the pub chat hehe

It's funny you mention this Panda; a while ago I went on totally vanilla in my pyjamas and a regular was totally shocked to see me in a cuddly outfit rather than my usual full lingerie. We laughed about it for a while then had a really great chat about everything. I told him not to bother tipping as I wasn't doing anything he normally tipped for, which seemed to make him tip more.

I think its refreshing when you don't see constant "requests in a tip note" "tip if you like what you see" messages.

I agree about being bitchy. Some people don't have any tokens to give at that time. But they still want to chat. That chat can be the difference from a grey turning into a colour because you bothered to show them some attention.

But I can also see it from the models perspective. The sheer volume of "tits out bb" "come to my room I'm horny" "I tipped for blow kiss but you never did it (because you had 15 other requests in a few minutes and it slipped your mind)"

Colours often advice me to ignore/silence/kick greys but I think it's unfair. Everyone was grey once. If a grey has experienced loads of negative reactions from models are they really going to purchase tokens?

I also think it's important to note the bit mentioning addiction and therapy. It is very addictive. It's good there is spending limits you can set but cb actively promote you raising these limits in return for tokens. It's like telling you drinking too much is bad for you as i top up your drink.

I find it very intriguing that many of you are more attracted to a personality.. or it counts for a lot. Almost like real life relationships.

Another question. Do you all have a history of regular chat sites? AOL, Yahoo, MSN, these kinds of platforms of the past? Is it filling a similar void?

For me it's the company

Talking to people I would never meet in real life

It's also nice because you can engage as much as you want or not; having a one on one conversation with someone you actually know takes more attention and you can't just float in and out the same

I guess mfc is like the fast food of company, fun, quick, easy but ultimately probably not as wholesome and good for you as a home cooked meal, but a lot better than socially starving

I don't know why I'm having the hardest time with the quote feature on here lately (It's making me type my message WITHIN your quote, instead of letting me type underneath your post...weird), so I'll just put my message up top...

Last night an MFC member tipped me and said "Thank you for being nice to me when I was broke."

Some people don't have any tokens to give at that time. But they still want to chat. That chat can be the difference from a grey turning into a colour because you bothered to show them some attention.

Honestly, there is only so much nudity you can see in something like TV, Movies, Internet, and magazines before it gets boring.
I know we men are made out to be very simple creatures when it comes to sex, and that anything gets us aroused hard, but that truly isn't the case.

I spoke a bit on AOL chatrooms as a teenager, but it wasn't sexual ones, just regular chats about random stuff.

I spent a lot of time as a teenager and early twenties in regular chat rooms where I actually felt I had friends (that I'd never met) and this feels similar (but with loads more butt plugs)

You are right though Brett, you can see women having fake orgasms anywhere 😆 oh the reality of it... 🤷‍♀️ it takes a lot of practise having sex so the audience can see lol.
... its about the personal care that many of you have mentioned. It's about feeling appreciated and considered. I've thought about having nights where i don't have much intention of getting freaky, and taking time out from the regular shows to get to know the people that visit. Customer care. It's very stop start replying to people in privates and keeping a room going. Finding out what makes people tick. Which as you can guess I'm pretty good at 😊

My first night watching on MFC happened because of Ol1via's...notorious...show in 2015. So I have always approached cam sites with the idea that interesting things happened in this environment and that if I were open to them, and willing to put in the time, I could experience them. That has been true.

This evolved into the idea of using a camsite like a sort of video game with the goal of accessing a feeling of "newness". As we get older, things stop feeling so new all the time, but in this fantasy world, you can buy some "new" every day if you want. The feeling of meeting someone for the first time, sparking that first conversation, finding out if you have enough in common to talk a little bit, seeing someone undress for the first time, etc. These are exciting moments in life, and cam sites produce a convincing simulation on demand for a little bit of money and time.

I stayed because I felt respected and had a good rapport with one model, then when the first one stopped working, a second model. This one remembered our conversations, was a good listener, and we stayed in touch, and treated each other with respect. That's really all it took..once that seed germinates, feelings of loyalty start to form.

I left because, as a result of some personal drama, she acted out abusively towards some of her regulars. Crossed some boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. It was a mess, stressful for all involved, and she lost a few of her best customers over the course of a few days.

Since then, I haven't really engaged that much with other models. Don't want to end up in a situation like that again. Directed that time/money to other hobbies. It just felt crappy to put in that kind of time/energy and have it blow up in a nasty way.

But I can also see it from the models perspective. The sheer volume of "tits out bb" "come to my room I'm horny" "I tipped for blow kiss but you never did it (because you had 15 other requests in a few minutes and it slipped your mind)"
Oh, I definitely understand that. I talk about it later in this post, but I was an admin/mod/active user for a Q/A site that was about relationships/sexuality. (Coincidentally, there were several cammodels that would hang out there too I know and give advice from their perspective lol) I am most definitely used to seeing/dealing with horny people and their collective behavior. I'm not a woman nor model, but I think I have at least a somewhat good sense of what's going on.

Another question. Do you all have a history of regular chat sites? AOL, Yahoo, MSN, these kinds of platforms of the past? Is it filling a similar void?
I don't have much of a history with them. In fact, I hardly have any social media now (i.e. a Facebook I don't post on). The closest thing I've had to social media was being very active on a question/answer forum centered around relationships, and that was only late teens. It sounds probably sad to talk about in a way lol, but I am actually low key proud of it, since I have over 7500 opinions on there + over an 80% best answer rate. I wrote the long, detailed answers usually, as is probably evident by this response itself :giggle: . As far as filling a similar void, that's a tough question to answer. I'm super introverted (not awkward/shy necessarily, just introverted), so I don't really require a whole lot of social interaction. If I had to psychoanalyze myself, I enjoyed going on the question answer forum and giving advice to help others, but it also gives you a sort of 'do-gooder' feeling that helped myself in the process. That was the self-benefit of it. Like it makes you feel sort of like you have more of a purpose (if that's the right word) when someone gives you a big genuine 'thank you so much' response. It's a wholesome warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that you could provide some encouraging words of wisdom to someone who really needed it. Hence, I was going to become a counselor and studied psychology, but alas, life has a way of changing things.

From the Q/A site though, since it was really open about sexual topics and had a lot of horny-ass guys/catfishes (very similar to ones seen on CB), it really wisened me up to dealing with rude/horny people. I was an admin for a bit, so I saw A LOT of stuff, whether bizarre kinks, spammers, horrible personalities, two-sided people, etc.. Talking with a friend who had a traumatic sexual experience as a teen due to self-esteem issues also made me adopt a stance of 'truly comfortable for both sides' approach towards cams or even sex in general.

I don't feel particularly lonely or anything of that sort now though. My mental health is so much more solid/stable after getting past the depressive episode some years ago. I remember how I felt, and I have healthier mindsets/better strategies to never enter to that state again. During the covid lockdown for instance, my daily life pretty much wasn't even affected tbh. Also, I don't feel like I have some deep void, or that I'm looking for some GFE to compensate for some mental anguish. I enjoy the cams, because I'm a straight male and also enjoy talking to people, but I don't feel obligated to them.

I also think it's important to note the bit mentioning addiction and therapy. It is very addictive. It's good there is spending limits you can set but cb actively promote you raising these limits in return for tokens. It's like telling you drinking too much is bad for you as i top up your drink.
I agree this is also important. It's why I try to be responsible about everything and stick to a budgeted out amount. If I have a day I want to spend big tokens on for instance, I save up for it little by little instead in preparation.

OP this is such a great question to ask.. I often ask it while I’m broadcasting, because I am very curious why members come into a chat room as well. I especially wonder when the majority (on CB) do not engage with the model. Very informative to hear what members really want from a cam room experience. Because I began to think it was all tits, ass and vagina—and its refreshing to know that’s not always the case.

I feel bad that I don't sit and type lengthy posts back to everyone but I'm just on my phone here 😆

You should have an agony aunt page of your own panda 😆 where have you gained all your knowledge Yoda?

I know we men are made out to be very simple creatures when it comes to sex, and that anything gets us aroused hard, but that truly isn't the case.
^ This. I've seen more pussy than most gynecologists at this point. Pretty much every explicit act that can be done by a model many, many times. That doesn't do much for me. In fact, that alone is kind of dead boring at this point.

It's the personality and interaction that does it. I'd much rather spend time with someone who's not a front page beauty queen but who I know and get along well with. I don't tip much because you're hot and you'll do things for me if I do. But I'll tip a ton if I like you personally and we have a good time. Don't even have to do much for me and I still will. And I'll come back and do it again.

What site do you frequent? I feel like CB needs more members like you. I have personality and love to interact, but I seem to mostly get members who ONLY value you or stay in the room if your naked.

Cb mostly these days. I don't think that I'm rare at all among those who have been around for a while (see other responses above). But most there probably haven't been and, yeah, it's a sex site and that's kind of what most are looking for and expect to see. Plenty of competition where they will. But if you have a good personality and engage people well then you'll break through the noise and do well over time. For most there, other than the top girls who are getting lots largely based on positioning, it's really a quality vs quantity game as far as tippers go I think.

Another question. Do you all have a history of regular chat sites? AOL, Yahoo, MSN, these kinds of platforms of the past? Is it filling a similar void?
Never chatted, I also don't have use Twitter (well I have an account but only to follow models), Facebook, Instagram and whatnot. In real-life, I don't talk much to others, I'm single and plan to stay that.
I don't consider myself shy, I just have a hard time to start/keep a conversation. That's why I enjoy chatting with models. It has a barrier that makes chatting easier. With barrier, I mean, she doesn't know me, and I don't know much of her. I can tell her pretty much anything without worry.

Well I did CB again and my personality and chatting got me nothing. Not valued by anyone in my room.

(Which could be almost all of us as I think most of the models spend at least a small percentage of time on market research)

How did you become a spectator/spender on live webcams? What initially drew your attention to the live aspect?

Also

What makes you stay around?
(Theres millions to choose from what keeps you loyal to those select few?)

Asking for a friend.... 😏

I first became a spectator like 6 years ago. I can’t remember how, but I stumbled upon CB. I didn’t fully embrace the world of cam sites right away, but I found one model attractive enough that I lurked for about a month. Then I left, and I forgot about cam sites for about 4 years.

When I came back to CB years later, it was out of curiosity (I remembered the URL and decided to see what it looked like now). I room-hopped for a while became intrigued by the interactivity. By the end of the night I created myself a grey account (because you can only follow models if you’re logged in, and there were two women I didn’t want to lose track of... neither of whom are still there today, btw).

A few months later I stumbled upon my (still) favorite model. She was such a perfect fit for my tastes that I bought tokens so I could tip her. From that point on, I began tipping pretty much every model I visited as a general rule, and still do.

I was hesitant to buy tokens at first. Not because I was cheap, but because I did not initially trust the website enough to pay them & give them my ID. (Something else to consider when pondering why some greys won’t buy tokens.)

What drew me in is a mix of things. Physical attraction is undeniably what gets me to click on a room the first time. But what makes me a regular & a high tipper are the models I establish a nice rapport with. Friendly, outgoing, willing to flirt as much as willing to talk about random topics between sexy stuff. When I feel like my presence makes a model happy, I’m far more likely to visit often.

Example: one of the models I visit frequently is a Page 1 regular (the others, mostly, are not). Last time I entered the room, she had way over 10,000 visitors. The chat was flying, so were the tips. She not only noticed me enter the room, but greeted me happily, during a very active show. I’m probably not even in her top 10 tippers. It’s flattering as hell, makes it clear that I’m appreciated and makes me want to return to her room.

So the loyalty thing - why I frequent a select few out of thousands - is mostly about give and take. If I feel like she enjoys me being there, or would notice if I left, and I have fun talking to her, I’ll always be back. Maybe not daily, but often.

Fun story: After I became a tipper, I randomly remembered the username of the model from 6 years prior. She was still on CB. I dropped into her room. I told her she had no idea who I was (I was an anonymous user 6 years ago) but that she was my original favorite cam model. I thanked her and left a generous tip. It was a feel-good moment. :)

That's funny. I've done kind of the same - went back after a long time and tipped and told the girl who really got me started watching these sites as an anon. She ended up costing me a lot of money. lol

Interesting to me too that once I started tipping the girls who I visited changed completely. Most of my former favorites I had absolutely no interest at all anymore. Just a completely different type of thing for me when interacting with people vs just watching.

Maybe I wasn't as clear as I might have been above. You still need to 'do your thing' (whatever that may be) on these sites to be competitive with others. That's why most all guys are there. Just the nature of the sites.

But personality/engagement along with that will better help you build a following of regulars. Which is key. Until and without that you're still just in kind of a daily grind to get whatever randoms happen though the door.

Best performing rooms from what I've seen are where there is a community of sorts created around you. Regulars and others who come to interact with you as much as just to see you play or whatever. That can be big, small, or in between but when that happens, then you're in a very good position. That very likely won't happen quickly for most. Actually for most it will never happen.

I actually tried really hard to build a community on CB. Where there is active chat, etc, just was never successful for some reason. And not sure why, because I can chat it up with anyone about anything. Where I end up making my money is thru private shows. That will and always has been my happy place. Member leaves happy and satisfied and so do I.

Yeah, very hard to make happen. Seems to either happen or not. Don't know why for some and not for others with what you'd think are all the right qualities. A lot of luck involved too I suppose.

One thing that I've seen a couple of girls do that helped a lot I think was that they didn't do PMs (other than very few) and didn't do privates when first starting out. That forced people to interact in the room with them and among the other guys much more. Neither really did it with a full understanding of that at the time I don't think but worked out very well for them.

But whatever works... Privates it is if that what brings in the money. Different strokes (no pun intended ; )

Isn't private shows where you start? You build up a following of people you took to private, found out a lot about and developed a connection. Then these people come back and theres no private show option anymore and they are private messaging you requesting you perform 'that thing you did once for them"?
