Girls, i have read a lot of things about selling videos on MFC (includin on this forum), and still this is a tricky part for me.
First of all i want to ask you what is the best option for you regarding the video hosting.Of course, i would like to know if any of you found the most safe way to sell your videos, in order not to be seen by many other users that don't pay for them (or at least not to you).
I have made a mediafire account, and tried to upload, password protect and dowload (on another device) a video, and it didn't work, though the passwor was correct.
And not least: have any of you had problems with selling videos?Meaning....have you found out that a certain member, after buying your video, started reselling it?

Thank you very much girls! :*

I'm not a model, but I help one who does a lot of video sales, and she parks her media on dropbox. It's easy to manage, not to expensive to upgrade to a good amount of space, and seems to be pretty robust in being up.

Dropbox has been shutting down a lot of accounts lately for "media sharing" so just a heads up. I use mediafire to sent out my show recordings every night, just make sure not to name any of the files blatant sexual names.

You can also create an account on Manyvids.com. You can sell your videos right there to their traffic but you can also use the site to send one time links to people who have bought it elsewhere, like on MFC.

I used to always use Dropbox, but lately I've been experimenting with Project Maenad. So far, I really like it!

Project Maenad allows you to have large file sizes, allows you to send a link to a person with or without a password. You can also choose how many times they can download the video and how many days (or unlimited) they have to do it before the link expires. They are still in the beta testing mode, but it sounds like it will still be free to use once that is over. I think they plan on monetizing the site with video sales according to their FAQ.

As far as your Dropbox question... dropbox doesn't allow you to use a password. You can share files by dragging your file to dropbox, then right clicking and choosing share or get link (can't remember the exact words off the top of my head). You can also choose to share an entire folder if you need to send several clips at a time. Once you move a file either to another file within dropbox or delete it, the link will be broken, and the person you shared it with will no longer have access to it.

Another vote for Project Maenad. I have never had any complaints about links I've sent through them. Dropbox has been relatively hassle-free for me, but like Kylie said, no passwords. MediaFire shut down one of my accounts for (stupidly) giving my files explicit names. I have also had mobile users-- one being a devoted customer who'd spent $300+ on that particular video and well over $1k over the duration of our relationship- have a hard time downloading files from the MF host.

Project Maenad allows you to create a link specific to a single video hosted on the server, or to an "album" of videos, a la imgur. You simply MFC mail them the link and they download it from there. Never run across any of my videos being resold, but then again, I haven't looked too hard. Piracy is part of the internet era, for better or worse.

Thank you girls for your ansewers!
I think i like the ideea of :

How long do you let your member to dowload the video, or how many times?

Thank you.

If it's a person that I trust, I've been setting the downloads to 4 with 28 days to download it, just in case they have problems.

I did try one as unlimited for downloads and time to download, and it doesn't tell them that they have "unlimited downloads" which is really nice. You can view the page that they will see when they click on the link before you send it to them.

A nice feature is that it tells you if it has been downloaded and how many times.

I love Project Maenad! Super easy to use and I like all of the options you can set for download limits and the fact that you can write a custom message that appears on the download page. It also allows you to set a name for who you are sending the link to. This is helpful because I can see exactly which videos that person has bought and when. (Project Maenad says this may also help if someone posts your videos somewhere. They can track which link originally allowed them to download it and if you label it with their name or email you will be able to pin point exactly who it was.)

I also like that customers don't have to create an account or anything to access their video. It sends them straight to a page with a download button and they don't have to jump through a bunch of hoops. That's the one thing I don't like about ManyVids.

The only problem I've run into is when trying to send someone multiple videos to one customer. I tried sending someone three videos at once the other day and they said they were only able to get a short snippet of each video so it seems like there might have been a problem when they were all being zipped together. I ended up just creating links for each of them and sending seperate links without a problem. Has anyone else run into any issues when trying to send multiple videos at once?

Thank you for this information about ManyVids! I have been using Mediafire and there are some guys that are just... not able to get it without a lot of help (thank goodness for my room helper). Apparently, the guys need an account to view/download a private video and it's such a hassle. I even had someone accuse me of tricking him into buying a video just to get him to sign up somewhere else. It's like.. what? XD I had to explain I'm not affiliated with Mediafire and it was just a place to host the video. I've since decided to make the video links public for the duration I'm on cam and make them private again when I log out so the guys are able to avoid the sign up but it is still a hassle. Ahhhh!

Anyway! Haha, guess I needed to vent that out ^_^; I will try Manyvids. I really like the one time link idea! And it's great to have a little shop to advertise instead of keeping them hidden within Mediafire. Yey!

Exactly! If I still sold videos normally on MFC ( I only do show recordings and exclusive club vids) I would be using many vids for links for sure! Make money from a new audience while also meeting the need for links? Heck yeah!

Just to let you know Manyvids actually does make you sign up to download the free link a model sends you. So for the guys who made a big deal out of signing up to Mediafire they might have the same problem with Manyvids.

Apart from that its also a win win as other random people will see your vids even if they haven't seen your show and you will probably sell more anyway.

Ohhhhh thank you, I didn't know that. I only have some videos for sale there but I haven't actually used the links yet.

Also I have never had that issue with mediafire, I don't know if marking it private is nessicary. I think you can only access the files with the direct link regardless

Ah, crap. Well, thank for the info, haha. I guess I'll have to same issue. Even still, it does seem like ManyVids is a better alternative to Mediafire because there is a little bit of traffic/advertisement that I would get with it.

I'm not sure how ManyVids compares to Clips4Sale and if they have a link? For me being a nonnude model, it seems like ManyVids would be ideal because it's advertised as "Hottest Vids from Your Favorite Girls" as oppose to Clips4Sale being advertised as "Amateur Porn / Fetish Porn Clips".

C4S and many vids are worlds apart as far as traffic! Many vids traffic is more like MFC traffic, and it's the vanilla stuff that sells there whereas trying to sell vanilla on c4s is a pretty big waste of time. I feel like I've done really well on MV the last two months I've used it, and I'm not even marketing to my MFC peeps since I have my website. I'm mostly just selling videos to mv traffic that I'm not familiar with, and I've had many of those people then join my site after buying one of my videos.

@Miqote Have you tried Project Maenad? I think that is more of what you're looking for. They don't need to sign up to download the video, and it's free for you! You can still sell your videos on ManyVids, but use Project Maenad to give links to members that don't want to sign up for a website in order to download a video.

No, Clips4Sale doesn't have links that you can give to members.

Thank you so much @JoleneBrody & @KylieJacobs ^_^ I have signed up to both ProjectMaenad (to serve as the video distributor) and ManyVids (to serve as a backup distributor and advertisement shop). Exciting stuff... farewell Mediafire!
