So...It's pretty obvious that almost at any given time out of the 1000+ girls on cam (mfc), only about 30 or so are black. And of those 30, there are about 15 of us who are American and black. I love diversity and love to mesh with people from all different cultures. I like to focus on my room and not worry about who's better or worse and that works for me but I can't lie, it is a little discouraging that I rarely ever see more than 2 black girls in the entire contest. I havent looked this month but yall go check it out and see what Im saying. You need to keep in mind that American models are not the majority of models on MFC to begin with. At this moment, 126 of 1416 of models are from North America, while 842 are from Europe/Russia, which is basically lily white with a few Asian, Turkic or mixed models from the south and east of Russia. Another 352 are from South America, which is dominated by Latinas.

While there is racism on cam sites, just like in every other part of society, you need to focus on being the model you want to be and find your following. People who don't like you aren't the people who will put food on your table, so put them out of your mind. Stick to your schedule, put in the hours, emphasise what works best for you. You're a cutie with a good head on your shoulders. There's no reason you can't make a go of it.

The fact is black americans are a minority in real life too, I think it is around 20% of the US population if I am not mistaken so if we go by that for every 10 American girls on MFC only 2 would be black, and like Sevrin said American camgirls in itself is already a small subgroup in any site.

That is actually changing. Black women are starting to IR date at a higher rate. I think it is a good thing! Why cast a small net?

I think if I recall correctly, women date outside of their race far less than men, save for Asian women in America, who with white men represent the most frequent IR marriages. Also, black beauty isn't really marketed in the mainstream, that is changing but mostly in semi-annoying ways.

More access, more exposure, social acceptance = more blk woman and white men coupling.

Speaking from my experience, regardless of race, guys tend to have a personality set for you based on how you look. It goes beyond a "Oh, she's pretty/attractive/hot" and more to a "Oh, she must be a nice girl/bitch/dominant/what have you". It may be unconscious but it does seem to happen.

When I began camming, I was more "myself" and just did vanilla non-nude teases, played video games, listened to my K-pop, etc. I can't tell you how many users would come in SO confused. After months, I figured out it was because I do not look like the typical girl next door nerd, which is what that persona was. I would hear all the time about how I "Look to be a huge bitch and so intimidating" and how they can't believe that I'm so nice.

Fast forward to a year later, I began doing femdom. Problem solved because, in my opinion, I now look the way my persona is. I never have anyone going on and on about how they're confused, haha, and can't believe what my "real" personality is. They now see that I'm just being "polite" in free chat and the real fun is in private (I cam on Streamate).

So, it sounds easy to say that if you're attracting subs, just be a dominant persona on cam. Follow the money. However, of course, you have to make yourself happy too. It's based on the true story of the REAL Mr. and Mrs. Loving (a Black woman and White man) who had been arrested for marrying each other. Then in 1967, The Supreme Court ruled that those laws were unconstitutional. I thought it was adorable that this movie was aired on T.V. some years ago on Valentine's Day. Plus, IMO, it seems more appropriate for Valentine's Day than, say, TITANIC again. Lol.

Thanks a lot I really appreciate that! I told my mod the same thing. I also told him that being a minority meant that I can't really follow the same formulas that work for a lot of girls on cam. I have to first convince users to come into a black room in general, which can be a task in itself when a lot of them are not used to looking for us as an attraction. Then from there I can start. So I usually get them in with teases, because well, "they're still men" and it seems color isn't such a factor when tits and ass come out. lol & Yeah, I'm starting to like the idea that I can have a new personna too. On the subject of IR's. My last serious relationship was with a white man who had never been outside of his race. We were together 3 years and race actually was one of the factors of why we had issues in our relationship. It's so crazy that I came across your reply about cam persona because I just added a post about it on my blog. I wasn't exactly sure if I should do it but I went ahead with it. I feel like persona is greatand can help define your cam following. I think you're so right about going with the flow of the money although I know it is not for everybody.

I actually have a long tongue and was always quite insecure about it growing up. One model on C4S said she gained a large following from it and once I tried it did increasingly well. Not to mention my last name is hoover so it all kind of worked out. Now sloppy bj's and tongue shows are my new norm.

I think it's interesting to see that most of the "push" that you all are talking about for on cam persona is towards Dom, btw. I've noticed that on Streamate the most successful African american models are generally Doms or have forceful personalities (insult artists, so to speak).
