Can you block ignore all messages from people who are banned?

I'm trying to help a girl who is getting very, very disturbed by the amount of abusive, rude and quite simply sick comments she gets in her room and in her PMs. Her English is not that good so she asked me to see if I could find out if there is a way to block all messages from people she bans.

She knows about the ignore option but messages are coming in so fast that all she will be spending her time doing is adding them to her ignore list.

Is there an easier way of making the messages disappear? Like an option to ignore all users that are banned?

I've searched this forum but can't seem to find an answer.

Really grateful if someone advise. This is killing her. She's been in tears.

I don't think there is an easier way, I think she just needs to ignore them individually. She can do this while she's offline, if she goes to the homepage while she's logged into her account, and clicks "Personal Options" on the top right. Then it will pop up, you can click Ignore Users, and enter their usernames individually.

Thanks.

I discussed this with her yesterday, after she got horrible messages from 42 people in one hour and couldn't take it any more. She just can't keep up with it. She closed the cam and went offline she was so upset.

The problem for her is the messages are there until the user is ignored and she can't stop herself from reading them and then getting upset.

What in the world is she doing that she's such a target to so many people in one hour? Something seems really off here.

Also, make sure she's using the model web broadcaster and not the downloadable software. Last I checked, the ignore function didn't work well on the software, but on the model web broadcaster, all you have to do is click on the name in the room and hit ignore. It permanently mutes them from being able to talk in the model's room, PM and MFC mail.

Make sure she mutes the guests and probably the basics as well.

Thank you for replying.

I can't see that she's doing anything to deserve this. Just seems to be from crazies who actually get a kick out of upsetting people. They make blunt graphic requests and when she says something like tip first please or I don't do that she gets vicious abuse hurled at her. This is PMs from premiums too not just guests.

I think she using the standard MFC software. This model web broadcaster sound like it could be the answer!

Where do you get it and what exactly is it?

Set PM to "friends only"

She's though about that but she says if she does that she will miss out on possible privates.
Nah, it's done all the time. Have her charge 100 tokens to be on her friends list. People that insist they just need to quickly pm about a private she can either add them to her list for a minute while they discuss it or she can ask them to send her a mail. After the discussion is over she can just remove them easily enough.
But people that just want to harass her get taken off the list fast.

Thank you. That's a good suggestion.

I wondered the same thing.

Does she get visibly upset at every negative thing said? If so, that could be a problem. If she reacts badly to one troll, and gives them the exact kind of attention they're hoping for, it probably won't be long before other trolls get wind of it and then it's only a matter of time before the scenario you (the OP) described comes to fruition. I get the impression you need to have thick skin to be a cam girl and you need to be able to deal with people saying vile, insensitive things to you on a daily basis, and if you can't, then camming probably isn't for you.

Can she not just silently ban anybody who is obviously a troll? That way they get booted from the room and they don't get the satisfaction of knowing they got to her. They'll soon get bored and move on to the next model :twocents-02cents:

Exactly

I always said that at least half of trolling are the reactions given, or not given, by the victim being trolled. If she's noticeably upset, she's playing directly into their hands. However, if she's able to brush it off and even completely ignore it, trollers are left dissatisfied while increasing the likelihood of trollers giving up. It's all about immature mind games.

I'm also wondering if this model happen to stumble upon some highly irrational members who didn't get what they wanted, and now have the need to act out their bitterness, and now it's turned into a regular trolling session for some assholes' enjoyment
