Yeah, and to be clear, I know it’s a very serious thing. I’m not making light of the possibility, just mocking the stupidity of those who think a ban would solve anything, or even be sustainable. I feel like those politicians’ logic deserves some ridicule.

ETA; There's a lot of depressing stuff in the world rn, sorry if laughing, and trying to be happy regardless, offends anyone.
Sometimes people want to just interact in a light way, no harm is meant by it.

Humor has gotten me through some really bad times. It’s a good way to cope and to heal, without medication, and without withdrawing from a situation. I’m a believer in letting yourself have a good laugh, even when times are tough.

BUT, I acknowledge it’s not always easy (especially online) to tell if people mean well with jokes. Hopefully I didn’t come across as dismissive of the issue.

I haven't been here long enough to gauge the political vibes but I just wanted to contribute and say I'm worried too. I live in a blue state so I'm lucky to be protected in some ways but federally we are kind of screwed for the next 3 years at least. I just pray my governor does his thing well. But at some point states rights can't override a federal ban so I don't know what would happen there. I've always worked in food service before porn, so I can just go back to that if things get wonky, but it's hard to look forward to scheduled work after getting a taste of being self employed.

You're one of us, speak up as much as you want to on here. While States Rights is powerful, I agree that it is pretty shaky ground in this situation. This isn't pot you can grow in your basement and no one is the wiser. These are international platforms and uncharted territory.
