Yeah, and to be clear, I know it’s a very serious thing. I’m not making light of the possibility, just mocking the stupidity of those who think a ban would solve anything, or even be sustainable. I feel like those politicians’ logic deserves some ridicule.

Sometimes people want to just interact in a light way, no harm is meant by it.

Humor has gotten me through some really bad times. It’s a good way to cope and to heal, without medication, and without withdrawing from a situation. I’m a believer in letting yourself have a good laugh, even when times are tough.

BUT, I acknowledge it’s not always easy (especially online) to tell if people mean well with jokes. Hopefully I didn’t come across as dismissive of the issue.

I haven't been here long enough to gauge the political vibes but I just wanted to contribute and say I'm worried too. I live in a blue state so I'm lucky to be protected in some ways but federally we are kind of screwed for the next 3 years at least. I just pray my governor does his thing well. But at some point states rights can't override a federal ban so I don't know what would happen there. I've always worked in food service before porn, so I can just go back to that if things get wonky, but it's hard to look forward to scheduled work after getting a taste of being self employed.

You're one of us, speak up as much as you want to on here. While States Rights is powerful, I agree that it is pretty shaky ground in this situation. This isn't pot you can grow in your basement and no one is the wiser. These are international platforms and uncharted territory.

It's grossing me out how people are making jokes/etc about it.

I am wholly disappointed with the fact that a political streamer I used to enjoy listening to has turned to that sort of commentary as well. He's gotten so lost in the sauce about gaza stuff that he's turning anti-american (and not in the maga way). Very sad.

I don't feel like I can follow him at all anymore

There’s this viral video on Instagram where a dad and daughter are cuddling, and the mom pulls her daughter away and starts laying on the dad in a way that is very clear she is trying to show her butt to the camera in a thirst trap sort of way.

Soooo many things wrong with the video. Maybe I’m just really sensitive when it comes to stuff with children, but it honestly pissed me off. 1. It’s gross that a mother would make it seem like she’s in competition with her daughter for the husband/dad’s attention. Even if it is a “joke” it’s gross and a great way to mess with your daughter’s psyche. 2. Using a video with your child as a thirst trap is beyond disgusting. Why do I think it was intentional? This couple (mother and father) have an OnlyFans account that they are promoting on the same social media they plaster their child’s uncensored face on.

Swear to fucking all the gods, one of the things that pisses me off more than anything is people showing their children on the same accounts they are promoting their adult work. It’s bad enough when people post their OF links on their social media with their legal names. But having it where you also post your children? Legitimately fucking brain dead, dangerous, disgusting fucking behavior. It shows me they could care less about protecting their children. That money means more to them than the wellbeing of their kids.

And also, this is part of the reason why our industry is under attack. You have these braindead idiots trying to make a quick buck on OF, doing this sort of shit, shoving it down everyone’s throats and making the entire industry look bad. I’m so fucking tired of all this.
