I’ve seen a lot of people question the cost of the clip. Without getting too personal, the clip ran over an hour and involved a niche fetish.

I’ll be the first to say this was a complicated clip. I was shocked when she said it could be ready by Friday. I thought that seemed too soon.

I picked her because she’s one of the few C4S models who does work in this space and the clips I’ve ordered from her studio are excellent.

The exact cost was $775.

She actually only charged me $760. But I had asked her to wear an article of clothing they cost $15. She told me she wouldn’t charge me for the clothing (she didn’t have it) because she was planning to wear it to her “day job.” I threw in the $15 as a show of good faith because I wanted her to know I was committed to doing a good clip and if it got ruined or damaged during my clip, I’d feel bad.
I was trying to be nice and look what it got me.

Is her reputation ruined, though? Who am I going to tell? Clips4Sale didn’t arrange it so there is no reason to complain to them. It’s not like I’m going to advertise that I got ripped off or who did it. I told one friend in a fetish chat room, who probably won’t order from her anyway.
So she can easily get away with it. Because who is going to complain?

@melanieoncam - you make a good point. If this clip was good, I would have ordered more. By scamming me out of $800 she screwed herself out of more lucrative purchases from me.
Her reputation is definitely ruined with you, if you don't get your clip :)

Speaking for myself though, the fetishes I serve are a very small niche and word gets around. Likely if she does this to one person she will do it again. (I'm still hoping she comes through for you eventually).

Repeat clients are golden. I would have to work way harder to find clients if I lost the ones I have instead of just working with the loyal ones I've already collected.

Unless she's quitting soon or something she's being really, really stupid.

Is there a point in notifying Clips4sale? I don’t expect them to do anything, but I feel like they should be on alert this model is scamming people.
I would let them know because it is a bad practice on her part and ultimately discrediting their website. However I personally have never used and am only familiar first hand with manyvids. That said $800 is a ton of money and I am sorry you were screwed over like that

Hi,
I’d like to experts opinion on what happened to me this week.

Last week I reached out to a model on Clips4sale about a custom clip. I told her want I wanted and she had no problem with it. We agreed to $800 for the clip, which I thought was a fair price given length.

Her studio has hundreds of clips and lots of customs so I figured she’s good. I paid her last Wednesday morning and she thanked me for payment. She told she was going to film it on Friday. She said I could expect my clip Friday night or Saturday at the latest depending on how busy/tired she was. I told her no problem, there wasn’t a rush on my end. That’s the last I heard from her.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday came and I didn’t hear anything from her. I sent a very polite email on Monday morning asking about the status of the clip. No response. I sent a second polite email Thursday night and no response.

I don’t care that I don’t have the clip right now. There was no rush to do this. If she emailed me and said anything ranging from “my camera broke” to “my mom is sick” to “I’m sick” I would have been totally cool with that.

What concerns me is it’s been 10 days since I’ve heard anything from her and a week since I was supposed to have the clip done. I noticed her studio hasn’t been updated.

So did I get scammed? Are these things common in custom/Clips4Sale universe?

Is there anything I can do beyond see if my credit card will reverse the charges? Would Clips4Sale care or is it a waste of time notifying them?

Any thoughts/help would be appreciated
apparently so ,
live and learn ,
suck it up buttercup

You could email clips4sale warning them she is poaching members offsite to use a different payment processor and scamming them. Proof helps. I don't think they will do anything about it. Maybe they might monitor her activity. maybe send her a warning. Sites do not like it when models take their traffic offsite.

I heard from her this morning (Thursday). First time in over two weeks.

She said she came down with a terrible flu-like virus, but not COVID. It has knocked her out for about two weeks and she’s still only 50-60 percent recovered.

She said she’s still committed to doing my clip but it won’t be filmed until later this month or June because her cold had upended her personal life as well as her clip life.

I don’t have a problem with the clip being delayed, even if that means I get it next month. I don’t need this ASAP.

And I am sympathetic to her being sick and completely understand how chaotic that can be.

Also I don’t have a choice since I can’t get my money back.

However, I do think it’s shitty that it took over two weeks for a short response telling me about her virus.

Especially since she responded to my friend’s custom request in a couple of hours. If she could write to him, she could write to me. It was still 7 days after she responded to him before I heard from her.

And I’m usually pretty easy going but a simple one sentence email could have avoided a lot of consternation.

Let’s see if she still comes through. I’m not 100 percent sure that will happen.

Cool.
The fact she contacted you finally can reassure you.
and yes, 2 weeks is not so long, she surely hopped to get better earlier and deliver you during this time

your money is no more a problem as I feel it, she would refund if you asked, but it's better to let it go and wait : )

yes..shit happens that sucks and unexpected ..me... i put a clothespin in my nose and carry on

In my opinion $800 is a lot for a custom clip but you high rollers may disagree. It's an amount totally worth scamming someone for.
Personally for an 800 dollar clip I would have just done a great job to try and make a repeat customer.

In all honesty, I’m fine that I don’t have the clip yet (May 10). I’m much more annoyed that it took over two weeks and three emails to get any kind of update.

But if she delivers a great clip and really knocks it out of the park, that will make up for a lot of frustration.

I've never used cashapp. How do you fund your account there? If the source is Visa, initiate a chargeback. A bank, call their fraud department. You shouldn't be obligated to disclose precisely what the purchase was for, but that services were not rendered.

I funded it with my credit card. I called my bank to initiate a cash back but they wanted to see proof of an arrangement. Which I get, but that would disclose what the purchase was for. They also said if the purchase violated the terms/agreement of cashapp, I probably wouldn’t get my money back. I’m pretty sure this purchase did.

I’m not at the point where I want to fight for my money back yet. I want to give her time to recover and do a great clip.

I read the OP twice looking for some sign of "due diligence" on your behalf. $800.00 is a shitload of money to lose on such a transaction and I would have been very carefully researching the party involved before any cash changed hands. I would be curious to know the routine you use to judge whether somebody who appears on your monitor is worthy of being sent 800 bucks. That said I hope it all works out for you, I hope you get your video and I hope you're more diligent in the future with your money.

I don’t want to get into everything I did, but there were efforts to do due diligence and no red flags were uncovered.

For those who are shocked about the price...keep in mind that a lot of us charge $10/minute or higher for custom videos. So a custom video being over an hour (Let's just pretend that, in this case, it's 75 minutes) and costing $750 or more makes sense. Then the model has to upload the video into whatever video editing program she uses (And it's probably a program that she had to pay to use), and sit there and wait a while for the whole thing to upload. Then she watches and listens to the entire video to see if she needs to remove any background noise, etc. Once she's gone through all of that and is happy with her 1+ hour video, she now has to choose what resolution to save it as and then save it. More waiting.....

Then when she uploads the completed video onto whatever site to send to the customer, that's more waiting she has to do.....

It's very time-consuming. This is what models are talking about when they tell you "I've been working on custom videos all day."

did u get the clip ? if not send some more transactions to her for porn, for cam clip cashapp will ban the account

i heard cashapp doesn't allow porn payments.

This.

The clip is over an hour and it is a complicated clip. I get that this isn’t a clip she can just crank out it takes a little bit of planning and work. I didn’t $800 for this clip is outrageous.

I also find all the freaking out kind of funny. In an earlier thread I complained about two poor quality customs where I only paid $200. The posters in that thread criticized me saying that price was too low and I should expect a bad clip if I’m going to pay below market prices.

In that thread, I was told a clip like this should run between $600 and $800.

No. Thursday will mark two weeks since I last heard from her. In that email she said she had a virus and was only at 50 to 60 percent.

I will email her Thursday if I don’t hear from her by then.
I’m happy to give her time to do the clip - as I said before I get it’s a complicated clip.

But I’m really getting sick of having to track her down. I do feel like she should be making an effort to reach out to me and she’s not.

Yeah, I would not be sending any more money to a model that may be scamming you.

its not for model just to flag her account by cashapp and ban further transactions. She will not be back on cashapp all porn related payments are banned by cashapp

I know what you meant, and even though I do kind of like your idea and the way you think...I think I still stand by what I said. IF Cash App even flags/bans her account at all...or as quickly as you think they will...will they give Riddler his money back? Will they flag/ban his Cash App account too? And he's probably so disappointed right now with this model, I'd imagine he wouldn't even want to give her the satisfaction of seeing more "Riddler has sent you money!" notifications. Lol.

It sounds like Riddler wants to wait a bit to see what happens.

Updating this thread with some good news.

I got a lengthy email this morning from the model. I won’t get into all of the details, but she offered a lengthy explanation for what happened.
She got a really bad virus (not COVID) that was misdiagnosed. Since it was misdiagnosed it was treated with an antibiotic that was ineffective and the virus got worse and worse. It took her over a month to recover and is finally at 100 percent.

She said she’s filming tonight and promised that I’ll have my clip within the next two days depending on her schedule.

She also refunded a portion of my money as a sign of good faith and reward me for my patience.

I take the refund as a sign of her commitment to finishing this clip and it looks like this will have a happy ending.

That's awesome!

It’s June 29 and still no clip. At least now she’s communicating with me regularly. But it’s one excuse after another.
I’ve been promised my clip, a partial refund and she’s behind on three other clips that she claims to be just as late on. She said she’ll send me those clips for feee when she films them. But nothing.
Just a lot of yammering about her health problems. But at least now she’s in touch every few days with a new excuse and not totally disappeared.
She keeps writing “I hope you are still willing to work with me past my health problems:” But she’s really saying “f—K you. You get the clip whenever I’m ready to film it.”
What a mess. And she’s pissed away someone who could have been a repeat customer.

well, at least you got a partial refund. sorry op :c

No. I don’t have the refund.

She hasn’t sent the partial refund. She keeps upping her promises. Now I’ve been promised my clip, a partial refund and three free clips in the same category ordered as customs by other customers she hasn’t been able to film for two months. She’s delivered on none of these promises.

Just more excuses about how bad her health is; how she has a great reputation among customer buyers but this is a bad time for her and insistence she has three other custom customers waiting as long as I have.

Her story is that she always delivers in days but this has been a period of really bad health for her and she’s never been in this situation before. It’s a mess.
