I'm so lazy... now that there's a link I am actually watching (actually listening to while I forum) it now.

<_<

I think it's too annoying to watch. What I would really like to see is a documentary style one.

My vote; we all setup a video with each of us doing various parts of a informative speech about what cam-working is about.

We could setup an outline, then each of us could pick a subject section, write out our part, and we can blend them together to make something nice.

I think that is a WONDERFUL idea. But I don't do well with video editing <_< so I'll leave you guys up to that, if we choose to do this. lol

LOVE IT! I can't do video editing, but I know someone I can pay to do it for me (in the form of "if you do this, I wont' ask you for the rent for next month :p ) If we need such a reference. (I live with someone who's a film director in training ^.^)

So many wonderful points were brought up on this topic, I have enjoyed reading what you all had to say!

I just want to add that I barely got through the first five minutes. Why is it that 90% of the female population are self-centered egotistical megalomaniacs who feel like the only way to validate themselves and what they do is to put someone down or rationalize why they are better or of higher standing than another woman?

Women are all about equal rights with men, but they will never be able to dream of true equality until they have it amongst themselves.

Those women, all of them, made everyone who works in the adult industry out to fit every stereotype ever perpetuated. But, it's daytime television, the best way for women who are at home to fill that desire to one up other people without lifting a finger except to put on their favorite talk show and maybe email in their one sided and completely uneducated responses.

I try so hard not to be a woman hater, but women feeding into senseless drama instead of having a desire to understand and possibly embrace something different through open and honest communication makes me rage face.

Oh, and Tyra is a big fucking hypocrite. If it wasn't for her sexually appealing body and pretty face no one would know her name and she sure as hell wouldn't have a talk show. But hey, no one jerks off to swimsuit editions of men's magazines or lingerie ads, right?

Woot! Another sexist chick!

(Sorry if it's not to that degree. Um. I don't hate all women, just the ones who act as described above or depicted in that video. Or mentally blond ones - especially the ones who act more blond because it's "cute.")

Agreed. If you are cute, then it will show - please don't fake your own personality.

Finally got around to watching it. Thank you for the link :)

Part 1:

Wow, you didn't expect it to be that heated? You basically made it a run for mayor... instead of having them talk about what they do and then once they've reached an understanding before deciding it, you basically said "one of you all will be a criminal and one of you all will be a mayor." Yup... not going to be heated at all.

Part 2:

I'm impressed that the bunny stepped aside and pushed for something else. She probably rethought and decided to go for the lawyer. As to Tyra... she's making judgements on them right in front of their faces. Not cool.

Part 3:

Ah, the viper came out. She really shouldn't have been a lawyer, she's not good enough with her words to keep people from being offended. At least Tyra didn't seem too distasteful in this segment.

Part 4:

This segment did get in there and show a bit about what might surprise people about those who work in the industry. Having kids, being religious, having a degree... all things that surprise people about someone working in the sex industry. I think Tyra missed the bit where Cinnamon said that she had the job while going through college. If you are in a job you don't like, you remember a job you had that you did like, and you go back to that. Duh!

Part 5:

interesting assignment. once again, she made them go for tough calls. Maybe if they had been able to add "to excess" or change going to church to a choice of church or meditation....

"I don't think God is judging you right now." "I don't think he's very happy with what you're doing." LOL

Part 6:

Wow. the retirement, and the money thing. It's like she's TRYING to get them to fight.

Part 7:

Hm, nothing stated, nothing to say about nothing.

Just for fun:

-Webcam model
-Centerfold model
-Playmate
-Illegal prostitute
-Exotic Dancer
-Escort
-Porn Star

-Mayor
-Laywer
-Teacher
-Fast Food Worker
-Janitor
-Vagrant
-Criminal

Who would you put where?

I don't really think any of these jobs fit the "roles" Tyra had on her show, but I'm gonna try to put them in what I think would be the best order.

Mayor: Porn Star. They are usually the highest paid and most respected (especially by fans) in the adult industry.

Lawyer: Centerfold Model. I see lawyer as very restricted, very within public acceptance of what's right and wrong, but not all of them always turn out so "Captain America Pre-Civil War-ish". This type of model is on the border of "classic nudity" and "whore" leaning more towards the classy side.

Teacher: Webcam model. This may be just how I see myself, but I've been camming for two years now. I've answered probably more questions about the site than the MFC tech support. I've also tried to teach people to change their perception of "cam whores" a.k.a. show a little respect, get a little nudity. Plus teachers are sometimes really hot. >_>

Fast Food Worker: Legal Prostitute. I only say this because she's working in a some what safe environment. They come in, they pay, they cum, they leave. Sounds like the whore house of McDonalds to me.

Janitor: Exotic Dancer. I've never actually been a stripper before, but this seems like a job where you really have to work your ass off to get anywhere. You have to charm people. You have to know how to shake all your good parts the right way. You're also looked at by society as less than. So are janitors, on the same level for different reasons.

Vagrant: Escort. Basically the take out food of the adult industry.

Criminal: Illegal Prostitute. Simply because what she's doing is well against the law. And she's the only one who is breaking the law out of all of these job titles.

Frankie,
I love how you put webcam models as teachers :) That's what I was thinking too!

Same! :)

Also I am way to lazy to go back and quote it... But AmberCutie, what you said about your job getting paid to cum... choosing the job... LOVING it... I totally agree!

Btw to all you non-models who have posted here, I really appreciate it, as I'm sure the rest of the girls do as well. I am completely comfortable with my job and I absolutely love it, but it's still super nice to hear support from people who aren't doing the same job. We need you guys! So many people look down on this type of job and just don't respect us for it... I respect myself, and the rest of you ladies for doing this job, but like I said - still great to have outside support! So THANK YOU!

I was thinking webcam model as the teacher as well. I have, as you have, helped the members out with tech support. I have also done "pussy 101" for the guys who come in with false assumptions about the pussy.

"Wow, fat clit"
"No, that's the hood. My clit is really tiny, and really shy, so she's currently hiding." :p

PLUS, I have even given relationship advice to many of the guys in my room if they were having trouble with their significant other. A few of them have even come back to let me know it worked. ^.^

Seeing the webcam model get shot down for this role was painful. She totally had no idea how to defend it, but she was completely correct.

Sides, I was going for teaching x.x so I like the idea of my job having something in common with the desired career.

*is curious to see if anyone else has a different take on the jobs question*

Funny, I instantly thought "teacher = cam girl" too. How funny is that?

I just wish more people would take the attitude that I have when it comes to "controversial" jobs:

As long as what you do for a living isn't illegal, I don't give a damn about what you do to make your money.

Tyra Banks doesn't just have a forehead... she's got a fivehead.

Just sayin'.

(And I despise her for several reasons... this episode is getting added to the list... but hey... can't blame her and the directors for trying to get viewers.)
