I think guys get the idea that we do this just for fun. Although it is a fun job, and I am genuinely horny 90% of the day, for most of us, this is our source of income. If you are going to freeload, I can't stop you. But it's the polite thing to not request. and to rate and admire. It's ironic that the members who do tip me just happen to be the nicest ones! The ones that DEMAND things are the ones who do not tip. There is sooooo much free porn out there where the girls already got paid for their performance. If you plan on never tipping, I would watch that. It's just not nice. At the same time, it is "my FREE cams" which brings in a lot of people who don't think they need to tip. You don't need to, you don't have to, you're not forced to. But SHOULD you? Yes, of course. Just my opinion.

Seems that most of the discussion is about freeloading premiums who just sit in the room or demand without tipping. I will offer a bit of different perspective.

I do what I consider freeloading from time to time. And from what I have read, probably does not affect any of the models on this site, but maybe. If I am looking for a quick drive by, then I will not log in and troll as a guest, never on my premium account, to find some model doing a free dildo/digital penetration show. In and out of the room in a few minutes, never to be seen or heard from.

I don't feel bad about it, because if that is what the model is willing to do in public, then should be expected. I never freeload on my favorite models (besides, they don't do that in public, but wouldn't feel right about it anyway).

Just another take on the whole freeloading issue.

Having used up all my tokens on the 28th for an awesome Skype show, I have technically been a freeloader for the past 3 days. (I will reload on the 1st.) And the funny thing is, not a single one of my model friends has said a negative word about my not tipping them for the past three days. They are so cool.

First off I want to say how much I love a website that has a strict no male policy. I am thrilled not to be viewing men while watching beautiful women on camera. Another very important note would be that the very nature of myfreecams pop-out feature allows a user to view multiple models at the same time, so it is unclear at any given time how many actual viewers you may be entertaining. Additionally the very nature of a computer allows you to do multiple tasks, so if someone is in your chat room and not communicating with you they could be doing any number of things ...on a social networking site, watching a movie, teaching a class, doing homework, playing online poker, streaming videos, working on a spreadsheet, killing an AL-queda member, who knows. The good news is that these "ghost viewers" help you climb the viewership ladder.

Several reasons I will not participate in a rooms discussion, a model is frequently engaged in personal messaging, a model on their cell phone repeatedly, a model singularly focused on private/group announcements, the regulars in her room are insane, or I don't understand the topics being discussed ie. gaming, oh and by far the most important reason...I HAVE YOU ON MUTE BECAUSE YOUR MUSIC IS ATROCIOUS, or too loud. I understand the pressure of the camscore and how difficult it is to capture the paying audience, but an important aspect of this business is to discover what works, calling out members for not paying rarely works. Most likely it causes premiums to hide out as guests or basics and by the number of models that mute these members you are not improving that ever dangerous boredom curse.

Fast typing, possessive, arrogant, self important premium members are more damaging to a models flow than any laid back viewer that doesn't have the finger on the tip button. I hope that the term used in this post subject could be reserved for those less skilled with the English language and more creative terms developed for what is really bothersome.

If this happens my advice would be to mention it nicely to the model. I cannot tell if my music is too loud or too soft many times and always make a point to ask the room. If you let me know that my music is too loud or that you hate it and its making you want to leave i will usually change it if you're nice about it!

Actually our software allows us to see who is watching via pm windows.

Members who are watching us in a pop-up window (different from PM) will just show as a regular user in our list. I think what Booty is meaning is that any of those members in our list could be watching (or not watching, just has it open) a multitude of models via pop-up windows. So that list of members we see, that we think are actually watching us and enjoying our show may not be paying any attention at all.

Yeah, there are other ways (besides just spending money) to contribute to a model's camming experience...engaging in friendly conversation, and/or rating her profile five stars, and/or posting nice wall comments, which I'm sure are things that you do. :thumbleft:

And I wouldn't expect my MFC friends to tip me ALL the time. I like having them in the room, regardless of their token count.

A large number of the basics and guests on mfc are kids that don't have credit cards. It's just free porn them

Don't even get me started on how far our public school systems have failed when kids start drooling over "bobs"

its both the school system and the parents. my kid is gonna fucking hate me they will not have a computer in their room until they are at least 17. there are ways to get past parental controls im sure and seriously if your 12 you should be doing homework or playing sports not fapping to porn. i never had a computer in my room growing up i was too poor and as a result the first time i watched porn i was 16 and it was on skinemax lol. i did however know how to spell boobs correctly :-D
back on topic it all depends on the day and the freeloader. if the freeloader can be friendly and intelligent and not expect too much of my attention generally they are welcome in my room. that being said no matter how friendly and intelligent you are if you have frequented my room for a year or so and not tipped me once my patience will grow thin and i will eventually ban you. i think the worst freeloaders arent even the quiet ones. at least the quiet ones know their place. lately for me i dont know about you ladies? there seems to be an influx of over complimentary freeloaders who will sit there saying oh your smile is like a lovely sunny day and your boobs are like a unicorn sparkling inside my heart bb. but are broke as fuck and think being saccharine sweet will somehow make me want to show my stuff for free to them. some days i do want to choke freeloaders but mfc is a freeloaders dream and i agree if you dont wanna put up with it go somewhere else to cam. streammate is pretty awesome that way.

I am in Canada and I enjoy listening to spotify and pandora, unfortunately we don't have access to either up here. I have tipped a model because I enjoyed her music while I was otherwise occupied. I will also keep one model's music on while viewing another, I am torn as to where my very few tokens should go. Some models can get by insulting viewers because they may enjoy that sort of thing, but stating that anyone viewing MFC is pathetic because they might be otherwise engaged is not sound reasoning. Oh, and as Miss_Lollipop stated about her deaf viewer in the topic of the same name pg. 8, I would have to advocate for a potential blind audience member that enjoys the music and the conversation on MFC. I know one model is eventually gonna make me go blind on this site (if that myth bares any fruit).

It takes allot of ghosts to be one of the 75 most popular rooms at any given time. I'm also pretty confident that a large number of viewers will use "Most Popular Rooms" as their key filter. New paying viewers are attracted to rooms with an audience, interesting conversation is helpful to shy, but potentially strong tippers. A core group of active non-paying members can play a part in creating an interesting atmosphere. A common analogy used in this forum to correlate the cammodel experience is that of a server at a restaurant, I think you can view helpful tokenlight/less members as your bussers and hosts and not a detriment to your job. Like any good service staff, they should know when to help and when to leave well enough alone. just my 5 cents anyway.

Like most of the other models, I am in same boat in that I do not mind freeloaders who are nice, and at least somewhat contribute to the room. It is often irritating when you are having fun and someone who cannot tip you is being demanding. Also, for tippers to assume that 10 tokens means I will fulfill any demand they throw my direction... I have nothing against a little flash of this or that for a very small tip, but to expect me to get completely nude for $.25 or so... It can be irritating then, too. I try to please everyone and I don't ask for much before showing more skin... but seriously. Lol. I know I am not the only one who thinks like that. And maybe that is all the tokens someone has, but I still think there should be a bit more respect in our rooms as to what we feel their tip was worth in regards to what we give in return.

Like any good service staff, they should know when to help and when to leave well enough alone.

Yes that's what i always do. But they will keep on making more excuse so i think they are just lying when they say that they have been fooled.

I think I really dodged the bullet on this one. When I get beggars I tell them "We don't do free requests in this room". I've never gotten anyone who's argued yet. I leave guests and basics unmuted, and oftentimes I'll go a few hours without hearing from a single guest. When I do it's usually an intelligent guy commenting on the conversation. In fact the stupidest beggarly thing I can remember happening was a couple of weeks ago, when I was doing a timed show. The show was for 30 minutes. About halfway through my room mate popped in and asked if I wanted a sandwich, I think. She stayed about 10 seconds. In all it was a pretty funny exchange. When I looked at the screen again, one guy (who never tipped me and did not contribute to the show, he may have been a basic) said "now you have to add more time". I either said no or ignored it, and that was that.

I did have one basic talking in my room. The day was going slowly so I was happy to see a semi-regular who usually tipped. A few minutes after the regular came in, the basics started complaining that nobody was tipping. I told them to shut it and was pretty close to muting the basics, when this one basic guy called PornFilmExec said something tantamount to, "Fucking premium members never tip and are the worst freeloaders". The semi-regular said "I can see I'm not wanted here" and left, as well as pretty much the rest of the premis that were in the room. I was seriously pissed and banned PornFilmExec.

A couple of weeks later PornFilmExec sent me an offline PM offering me $500 for a Skype show. I told him no, because he was a dick and drove away people who would actually tip me. He said, "so?". I just ignored him after that.

I'm sure that as my score rises though I'll be dealing with more of this. So yay.

First of all, I hate non-interactive people. I don't consider people to be "Freeloaders" until they start begging/demanding stuff for free, or camping my room without interacting. The other night I was on for an hour without even one tip and it was fine because there were a bunch of people chatting it up in my room, interacting with me and each other, and it made it fun.

But then I've had times where like, there's one person doing all the tipping and 10 silent premiums sitting there, occasionally stopping to complain that the action isn't moving faster. That wears on a girl really hard.

So yeah, basically, as long as someone is willing to INTERACT, even if they can't tip, I don't consider it to be freeloading, leeching, or in any way offensive.
