how common is it to have your pics/screenshots reposted?

hi all, new cammer here. so far i've always worn a mask because i'm paranoid about being screenshotted & sent to a mainstream porn site where people in my country, etc. could see me... how often does this happen? should i worry?

It is pretty common. I will not lie to you on this. There are precautions you can take, like not getting naked etc in public. Meaning if anyone found a screenshot of you somewhere you could claim it came from a normal skype/facebook video chat which someone clearly posted up to get at you because you fell out.

I've been camming for about 6 months and never found any screenshots or anything of myself. I have friends and relatives keeping an eye out for me so I'm pretty sure someone would've told me. Some models get capped a ton, some don't, and I think it has a lot to do with the type of crowd you draw (and drawing the kinds of guys who do stuff like that is really no fault of the model, it's hard to impossible to control which niche you fall into sometimes).

I think my secret is never getting naked in public chat, and making really stupid faces all the time. :thumbleft:

I have been camming for like 18 months now and I've never found any screencaps of myself, and only one recorded video from when I was a brand new model. I used to do shows in public chat all the time, too.

I think the majority of screen caps and recordings come from a minority of members who are active on forum sites that reward them for sharing our content. I don't think the average member will bother recording or capping a model and then editing and sharing the content. The only video that was recorded of me was by that CapnCrunch guy who has uploaded thousands and thousands of hours of material.

You should always consider that it will happen, but it may not (or it may take a while). Or, you just may never find out about it and suffer no consequences from it.

from what i understood in that other thread, you can effect those results (and those site's content) on your settings page....

it sounded like you got naked on cb in free....if you do, there's a good chance one of those site has got a naked thumbnail of you

But the best advice I've ever heard in regards to this is, "If you don't want people to find out you cam, don't cam."

P.S, if your stuff does get posted, you can take the time to chase as much of it down and try to have it removed, if you choose to.

If you switch to MFC, be prepared to not wear a mask, as it is against the rules to have your face covered. (They can't identify if you're the actual person they approved to broadcast if your face is covered.)
