We all fuck up eh. I feel sad for her daughters, but maybe they have the spirit and self awareness to grow up thinking mummy's a bit silly rather taking heed of her opinions and succumbing to the horror of her mind poison. She looks pretty awful, I hope her daughters realise the reason for this is the surgery and the mental illness and avoid it like the plague, rather than chase some unattainable ideal for physical beauty and end up carbon copies of her, and old and bitter years before their time. :(

While I have nothing against an individual choosing surgery or any other modification for themselves, I think there is something seriously wrong upstairs when you buy your six year old daughter a gift voucher for breast implants and think this is a rational and suitable gift from a parent. Why would a six year old kid want a 'present' they can't even redeem for at least another ten years anyway? Beyond me. Need to stop to thinking about it. hehe.

That is terrifying. Obviously, she's mentally ill and transferring her issues to her daughters. It seems like cps could step in and require that the mother gets help and seeks family counseling to begin repairing whatever damage has been done to her children.

I do feel bad for her and question this Anderson guy's interview technique (bring a guest on who clearly has 'issues' and who you know to be disliked by those familiar with her and then humiliate her in front of a national audience when she doesn't give you the answers you were hoping for and soak up the adulation like you were Spongebob :?). I think it's admirable that she's set up a charity that helps others who, like her, have been effected by domestic violence. And when she says she is the way she is because she was a victim of domestic assault, I believe her and would argue she needs help, and not the public scorn of some second rate Jerry Springer.
But yeah, the fact that she's transferring her own issues onto her daughters is all kinds of fucked up. Teaching children from such an early age that if you don't look a certain way, you're a lesser person is not good, and when you're teaching them that it's in their best interests to look like that, it's even worse.

What he did was not so nice, I frequently see talk show hosts that just don't want people on their stage anymore (i.e. Steve Wilkos) but even if you don't agree, you don't have to be rude about it.

I feel bad for her, but I feel worse for her kids. They're going to grow up thinking that beauty is only attainable through injections and surgeries and that will severely effect their self esteem.

I sincerely hope this is just a bizarre way for this woman to get some media attention and have her 15 minutes of fame.

She's certainly no mother of the year and has her values messed up, but so does most of Hollywood. I think Cooper is a total hypocrite. He invites her as a guest knowing full well what she's done and said, publicizing she will be on the show... then acts all disgusted and accuses her of doing it for publicity. Gimme a break. At least she's honest and upfront, you can't say that about Cooper. He finally opened up that he's gay, as if everybody didn't all ready know.

She's already milked her 15 minutes for years over in the UK and since we all got sick of her, has seemingly taken her sideshow stateside. :P

I agree with this, totally. He hosts a talk show where they book controversial people to garner ratings. He has her on the show, then abandons the interview in an attempt to assert some moral superiority? Give me a fucking break!

As to her- what most have said: she's modding her body and that's her bag. I don't know enough to judge if she's damaging her kids, the whole breast implant voucher thing is....well stupid, honestly. But I haven't seen anything to suggest she's forcing her kids into the same treatments. Sure they may be raised in a household that suggests socially ugly views on beauty, but there are worse cases of up-bringing, I think. Just because you disagree, doesn't mean the kids should be taken from their mother. Plenty of parents are raising little xenophobes, but no one's trying to snatch them away. Smoking, obesity, laziness, lacking education: all allowed, so how can a society decide to step in here?

His show looks like trash anyways. I really hope somebody steps in and helps her kiddos though. :(

I agree with most of what's been said about her and her children.

I'll reserve my judgements on the show until I can find copies of both previous episodes and the whole episode of this, as well as a full interview with the host about what he actually expected, since at the end of the article, it says he mostly stopped it because she was lying about it, not for what she had actually done. (It's a really small bit at the end)

So it's possible that he invited her on the show to try to give her a chance to show her side of the story, but when all she did was twist facts to suit her fancy, he gave up on it. Some people will deliberately seek out individuals whose views they don't agree with to try to come to an understanding, and if the person lies and lies... how can you come to an understanding of how they think when they won't even tell you the truth about it?

Also, the lying about being gay... I can't blame him on that. In many states, it's legal to fire someone if they are gay, or to kick them out of their apartment for it. I can see why you might want to hide something that could be so detrimental to your living situation.

As CNN hosts go, Anderson is one of the better ones. lol Did he actually lie about being gay or, as I had assumed, just remained noncommittal about it. From the little I saw of THIS show, however, there is a bit of hypocrisy. He has POLITICIANS on all the time and doesn't end the segment prematurely.

The host: He's an "entertainer", and has not been a "journalist" (if he ever was one) in quite some time. I agree with some of the other commenters saying that he has no "moral high ground" to take. That he hosts this "Springer" type program, is an indication that he does not adhere to "Journalistic Integrity".

The Barbie: Can't defend her, except that her views & behavior could be a defense mechanism as a result of her previous attack. As the shrinks say, "text book case". It's sad that no one close to her could talk her into getting the help she needs. Very sad that it looks like she's transferring this to her daughters. Girls have enough of a body image problem as it is, without the added parental pressure. Props to her for setting up that charity, but how many women could she have helped with the 500K pounds she has spent on herself?

The host "coming out as gay" is not an issue here or anywhere else.
