I wouldn't call her a scammer, but that is a desperate way of finding clients. Mostly, I love how she said she was getting so wet, and then said you should look at her outfits, haha. It would make a whole lot more sense to be like "I'm getting so wet, want to watch me masturbate," or "I try to put my heart into my clothing designs, want to see a few outfits?" Instead of this awkward combination. Few people want to pay for a fashion show.

I doubt "she" is a human, let alone a "she".

Yeah somewhat common scam. Was getting ready to send some shady stuff his way.

It's likely a human - most scammers don't have the will/$$$ to invest in AI-like algorithms to do their job, specially when you can pay very little to someone in a third world country to work on those scams - just give them a few dollars, a script to follow and voila.

For example, you know all the sites with captchas to prevent abuse? There's captcha-decoding 'sweatshops' in Asia and Africa where people just sit there solving captchas for a very low price (I've heard the it being something like 1 USD per hundred or more captchas solved)

Very unlikely, can find the tools to do this for free pretty easily.

The one you mentioned in the followup isn't that useful for this type of scam; from the article itself:
"Since the tool is only capable of spreading a particular message to those who give authorization to the spammer’s account," ..

It's just the usual 'find an account and send a single specific message' situation, similar to e-mail spam. I searched a bit more about that specific tool and it indeed seems to be the case given all the screenshots and videos (doesn't help that most of the screenshots seem to be in Russian).

The reason why I think this is more likely human-run is that you would need semi-realistic answers to get most people to take the bait and do whatever they want (I'm guessing accept a video call and masturbate on camera to later be extorted). You would still need those type of tools to find/add lots of users and send the initial 'handshake' message, but once that is done that's where the human jumps in.

Re: I tried to have Skype fun, but the other person let me d

i got terrified for a second that i had done something terrible to you on Skype >_>

LMAO. scared the shit out of me. don't do that!!!!

Re: I tried to have Skype fun, but the other person let me d

The responses weren't semi realistic tho. He could have said anything and would have gotten the same responses. Probably has some sorta auto responder that was set to respond between 20-60 seconds after his replies. No need for humans. This is very common. I guess it could be human run but I think you're overthinking it. Probably just wanted access to his computer, doubt it had anything to do with blackmail.

Re: I tried to have Skype fun, but the other person let me d

I took the time to chat with one of those Skype bots for a bit out of curiosity. It's sort of like a Mad Libs conversation. No matter what you say, their response is vague yet consistently horny, which is sort of funny when everything you respond with is about death, misery, and Ebola. Eventually it leads to a link that you really, really need to click, like right now, to see all their hot n' sexy somethings.

Wish I'd swallowed my coffee before reading that!

Re: I tried to have Skype fun, but the other person let me d

There are just things that I cannot imagine many women honestly saying... You know when a dude comes in your cam room telling you he's female and then says things and you just know they're male, or when you read the stories "written by real women" in guys magazines which are clearly not written by women. "ohhh yeah bb. my number one fantasy is totally pleasing a man and doing loads of things that he'll find totally sexy but give me no physical pleasure mmm yeah, and I have no idea how the vagina works"

This is one of those moments. She could be female and is just writing off a script (she may not actually speak english) or it is just an automated system. I agree with Punk that they're responses that don't really matter what the guy writes. It just doesn't sound human.

Well, it's sort of my nature/job to overthink and look at all possibilities and to me it sounds excessive to use a spambot like that to get people to install a simple trojan - just stuff it in yet another fake porn site/spam message and you will get plenty of clueless people installing it.. But clearly I am not cut out to be a spammer/scammer.

I shall have to do something nice to make up for the scare you received. I assure you it was unintentional.

I wouldn't call using a few simple programs excessive in comparison to how many others are doing it but we can agree to disagree on that. We get clowns here sometimes that can't even figure out that they should have a link in their sig before they start the spamming, they get banned quick thankfully but I'm curious about how it is being done and why they choose to do it that way. I think they upgraded recently to be able to auto quote someone and reply but it could be a human doing it, hard to keep up with everything when so many new programs keep being released. Things have probably changed so much in such a short time. Still sometimes see dudes using old ass programs or renaming and trying to take credit for somebody else's shit. Use to have to be more aware of all different types of cyber slime for work, don't miss it but still interested in it.
