Hi All, hope everyone is doing well. I'm just looking to get some clarity and opinions... Bear with me

So just over a year ago I came across a model on CB, everything was standard, we discussed prices, had a session which I enjoyed so became a regular in her room and eventually became a mod. After a few weeks/months she started to open up to me outside of CB and she seemed to be a really nice person (As I'm sure most models are) She told me I was one of her most loyal and consistent tippers and that she was struggling to get tips. So I asked how long she had been camming for and I was told 5 years + (I doubted this time frame but didnt question it) However, I saw potential in the model and wanted to help her better herself whilst camming. This is where it got interesting.

I explained that due to other happenings (basically life) I was no longer able to tip as much or as frequently as I used too. So alternatively, I suggested that I would help promote, edit pics/vids and invest in her direcetly (e.g buying costumes, equipment, toys ect...) in return for 3% of her monthly earnings, provided tips increased after my intervention. I explained that her earnings would increase and I would also be able to make a little extra money myself in return for the edits and promotions and she agreed.

Everything was going as planned, I made social media accounts for her to promote her online activity/sales and get a larger fan base. I bought some reasonably priced outfits for her, made graphics for her profile and suggested a few ideas like dice games, spin the wheel, having a countdown rather than just coming online topless in the hope to attract more people and generally just to smile more. Some of the ideas were agreed and implemented which boosted her fanbase, room traffick and tips. In turn, I was payed my 3% monthly.

Everything was going good but sadly all good things must come to an end. Her attitude started to change as she became more popular, that combined with the slight language barrier that we had, I decided to stop assisting and investing. We left on a friendly note and I wished her the best in the future. Occasionally I see her online, still using some of the methods I suggested to her but I leave it at that.

I would just like to know if this was just a random one-off or if it could potentially be developed further depending on the model?

I have read some threads saying... 'Why would you bother with a 'manager' when you can just look at forums and other rooms?' Just remember not all models have that mindset and use forums like this and others might find it hard to implement certain aspects into camming.

Thank you all for reading, any opinions or perspective would be most helpful

tl;dr I worked with a cam-girl off-cam, now I don't.

Reactions: THE MOLLIE MARIE
Any model *reading this forum* where those posts are made has access to the forum, plus the resourcefulness to have wound up here. So it kind of renders your point about not all models having that mindset moot. Girls who do read it and still want to pay some random to do it...that's their prerogative.

I'm sure that there are some people offering this service who are useful and honest but soooo many who aren't. Personally I think stuff like social media is a big part of a camgirls brand and so smart camgirls should want full control over how it's used. In general I think the most successful camgirls (financially, but in terms of longevity and consistency too) run their own businesses and that drive is part of what makes them successful.

Anyways my point is in general I think models should do most of it themselves and that most of the members who think they're being helpful aren't offering anything super valuable/worth paying for. And the number of actually useful dudes is vastly less than the number of "let me promote you in the lounge bb" types. But to each their own, if a model finds it useful, cool.

If you want to turn this into a side hustle with other girls then I'd suggest being impeccably professional and not mixing business with pleasure (e.g. "You don't have to pay me this month if you'll do a skype for me") because that is always tacky and uncomfortable.

Sorry but I am in the camp that believes that cam models and other sex workers need to established their own brands and eventually their own businesses. Now, I do have must get a few assistants because of my level of business. For example, I need a dispatcher to answer my direct-dial phone calls and schedule them for me. Plus I need a booker as sugar baby because I have a lot of potential sugar daddies interested and not enough time to schedule everyone. Personally, I would never allow for my customers to help run my business with me. In addition, she is a cam model and not a porn star. So, I do not believe that she needs a manager unless that is something that you guys established. Now, I believe that you are better suited helping other types of adult performers such as middle level porn stars or escorts. Good luck! :)
