Hey guys, I've joined this forum to ask a question but I've been a lurker for a while too. This is probably the most interesting mfc community as it combines models and viewers... Anyway back to my question...

I'm moving to Romania but I can't access MFC there? I was just wondering whether anyone knew why? And no I last tried to access mfc from my apartment, not a hotel so I thought it ought to work. The website still exists but gives this message:

We regretfully cannot allow you to enter MyFreeCams.com at this time for one of the following reasons:

1. We are not accepting any more members from your region or country at this time.

2. You have been banned from this website.

If you are already a premium member, please enter below:

Would being a premium member sort this out or not?

I guess any premium could solve this for me by using a romanian proxy to login.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You can log in from Romania if you are an existing premium. The website will work fine. However, you will not be able to see all the performers. Many performers and studios from Romania and nearby countries are blocked from your view by the performer/studio even if they don't live in that country. You may not be able to see their profiles or send a message to the girls if they are blocked. Make sure you are on your favorite performers' friends list before you go. Good luck.

i would only add that after entering your current premium info, you may receive an email asking for a little more information. I have two premium accounts that i use internationally....it took a specific request to mfc for each of them before i could log in.

wait a moment ... why is a MFC member moving to Romania and still wants to access MFC after he moved ?

From what I gather, MFC banned Romanian IP addresses due to the levels of credit card fraud that appear in the country. I.e. stolen credit card data from other European countries being utilised from inside Romania. So if you are an existing Premium it probably indicates that person never committed fraud else the account would have been banned already. Therefore, they're semi trusting and take the risk. New guys, no such luck.

Try registering outside of the country, perhaps when you are next "back home", turning premium with your details, and then emailing MFC when you return to Romania.
However, most models have Romanian IP addresses blocked as well - for fear of being recognised. It is a well known "profession" in Romania amongst the younger population, and it appears many guys try to find out if their hot female friends (especially ones who appear to have money!) are doing webcam work ;)

heh...true story
a romanian model friend of mine hit it off with some romanian guy in a club one night....they got to know each other over the next few weeks, and she started commenting to me how he seemed to keep the same hours as her, had an invisible source of income....other details

i wondered out loud if maybe he wasn't in the biz, too

a few days later, she mustered up the courage, and they got around to talking about that sort of thing

sure enough....

Thanks for your help guys. :-D

I guess everything I wanted to know has been answered.

I didn't realise camming was so prevalent out there. Trying to guess which random romanians are cam girls may be a fun game aha ;)

haha fair point, clubbing out there is awesome, no huge women in sight. :thumbleft:

I have no idea how they stay so thin though, there's still tons of fast food everywhere.

You can always pay for a VPN service and make MFC believe that you are connecting from US.
In fact, the VPN could be useful for other purposes besides MFC, so think about it.
Good luck!

It basically keeps the stupid Romanians out of myfreecams, but any person from Romania that knows anything about the internet already knows how to access the website, and they can even get a premium membership by buying VCC(virtual credit cards). Or having a friend from the United States buy a Vanilla Visa Prepaid debit card and telling them the details of it. If you move to Bucharest for every 10 girls you know in real from outside a site like myfreecams, your chances of knowing a webcam model in real increases by around 1%. Its probably higher, I'm just using a conservative number.

The exact same message use to be on for people in Germany. Several months in fact. The homepage got turned back on to normal only about a month ago. I believe that was for a different reason than what has been mentioned above though.

The vast majority of Internet Marketers I know are from Romania. Virtual Credit Cards,VPN's,and Prepaid Debit Cards are frequent topics on those forums, along with webcam sites.

I did it wrong, its closer to for every 7 girls you know in real in Bucharest that there's a 1% chance you know a webcam model.

I just wanted to say that that never happened to me when I went to the site with a German IP address.

Thinking about it with that knowledge I wonder if it was just the IP address of the server my VPN uses in Germany. That does make sense.
