If you look at other peoples bodies and feel bad about yourself I think it's more a mental hang up you need to address within yourself.

Happiness comes inside out, not outside in.

Western culture is definitely too obsessed with aesthetics, I don't think anyone on their death bed is ever thinking "my biggest regret is that I wish id been slimmer and better looking.."

Looks are pretty trivial in the big scheme of things as long as you're healthy.

Craziness. I get being annoyed with beauty magazines, but a fitness magazine is a completely different animal. What are they supposed to write about in a fitness magazine?

Edited to add: I totally clicked this expecting "protein world" to be something porny.

Oh England. My old home. THE home of way too much over the top political correctness and whinging.

Are people in Britain less inundated with that sort of diet product advertising than in the US?
Curious about this as well, I don't know shit about that place. Been to the UK a few times but I'm not one of those people that pretends to know everything about a place after being there for about a month. Oh yeah? You went to Dubai for the weekend? Well you must be an expert on the area now, please educate me on the culture and people. Man I dislike those people.

So yeah, one of you Britishy people should fill us in on the difference between ads there as opposed to here.

I would help answer but I don't really watch tv, I don't buy magazines, I have adblock and if I do see an advert I think I subconsciously ignore it

I would guess it's much the same though

Apart from one thing I notice is America seems to love pills for everything, I don't think there are as many adverts for those in Britain and as a whole I would guess we're less medicated.

We do love our pills. Commercials for some of them are hilarious. Have a headache or lack energy or something else trivial? Try our new pill!! Dude then gets all quiet and quickly reads a list of horrible sounding possible side effects. Like no thanks fella, just gonna ride this headache out the old fashioned way. Not sure my lack of energy on a monday morning is annoying enough to risk death my dude.

lmao I'm not sure what these people were protesting and I guess one of them was bullied by the ad. Weird story man. Seems some people just can't accept that most people consider beach body ready to mean fit/in shape. These people aren't complaining about all the free advertising I'm sure.
