Hello! I work as an affiliate marketer promoting web cams for a living. I am always curious to know (and don't know why I didn't ask this before) but what country are your favorite customers from? I realize that this is very subjective. The reason I ask this is that I'm always trying to focus on the countries that work the best so we can all make more money. So what countries do your best customers come from? Who stays the longest? Who is the most generous?

Also... what countries have the worst customers? The freeloaders who never tip?

Thank you kindly!

I can only go by currency exchange on SM. But United States, Canada, UK, Australia, and Europe.

I have no idea of knowing what country a freeloader is from. Nor do I care.

Countries that are blocked from purchasing tokens are usually where the freeloaders come from. Parts of asia, india and the middle east are all in this.

My best customers are from the US, Australia, Canada, Europe and the UK. These are also the countries that speak the most english.. which im' sure helps. US/canadians tend to be more social in my experience... Europeans/UK will be more interested in explicit content/shows and anywhere there is a language barrier will be more interested in shows/vids than hangouts. This is a MASSIVE generalization of course.

My two cents after 5 years of lots of mainstream e-commerce are: India is a tough market to break into, and bring good traffic from. It requires compliance homework that can fill up a central library.
Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri-Lanka will have a traffic of people with no method of payment to begin with (credit card).
Russia, Ukraine and their vicinity, have customers with big kapusta, but also a lot of VPN which will harm your metric research.
In a nutshell, unless you have a stronghold in India, with a rep, and an office, and compliance, you will have loads of bounced traffic. Middle Eastern countries can require a VPN (not all are adult friendly) in some cases on the users end.

There are exceptions of course. I'm used to deal with traffic to services that convert much later down the road, with a longer funnel of conversion. I hope it's not too much info, because I'm starting to sound like the people who put me to sleep during a power point presentation....

The countries with strict porn laws that prohibit residents from being able to purchase tokens or otherwise make transactions on adult sites.

I think it depends on who you are. I do not win over Europeans. I'm not sure if it's my look or my personality, but at no time slot have I ever gotten many Euros. Americans and Australians were my money on cam.

Thank you all for your replies, I sincerely appreciate it!

My focus has always been the US,CA,GB but I will look into marketing to other European countries that favor English.

In my experience, in terms of overall quantity of spending, US viewers are the best bet.

I'd say pair UK viewers with kinkier models when possible - it's like Brits simultaneously have all the shame and no shame :inlove:

I've never ever been upset with having an Australian in my room, whether or not he spent any money.

Canadians... um... maybe they hate me, or maybe they're so polite that I never even notice that they're there, or they just never share their location, but I wish I (knowingly) had more Canadian guys.

I rarely get customers that aren't English speakers, or at least pretty fluent in English as a second language. I think that's because I talk a lot, and it might hard for them to follow if they are struggling with a language barrier. So maybe it's better to direct non-English-speaking viewers to rooms that are more oriented to sexy dancing or other less verbal activities.

Avoid marketing to: countries where porn is illegal, countries that don't have compatible credit cards or other means to spend money on our sites, countries where the typical income is low enough that paying cam model rates would be prohibitive. I also suspect that certain European countries have thriving cam sites devoted to their own language, so they aren't very active on more global/American sites.

Stereotypically, I think we tend to get a lot of irritation and minimal spending from cultures where the expectations of female sexuality and sexual agency are significantly different than Western standards.

Whatever country produced "bitch lasagna"... I want to say avoid it... but I'd also like to know wtf that means, so...
