"The # of People I've Slept With..."

Ok, so me and my best friend pulled out the pen and paper last night and wrote down the number of guys we had sexual intercourse with. . (oh my, were those some fun stories).

Anyway, I am really curious what the 'average' number is for some people? This is a question that I NEVER bring up n relationships. . lol. . and don't have the balls to ask somebody to their face. I'm particularly curious at those that have been single for a very long time, like myself. What better place to ask than on the ACF forum :thumbleft: . . ps. I hope this poll is anomynous.

Yep, me too.

I just don't have the need to sleep with people. I feel it takes relationships to a different level, which is not always a good thing, for me anyway. I have a lot of female friends, but I don't impose on them or act like a care about sex, so it rarely occurs. Fiends I can talk about anything with and give hugs too occasionally is about as intimate as I want to be. I really don't feel like I'm missing out.

I've slept with 17 people in the past 9 years or so. I've dated two, married one and the rest were one-nighters or flings. I wouldn't take it back because I've had a lot of great sex, a lot of bad sex and a lot of laughs about everything.

The only thing that bothers me about a number that high is knowing that when a guy finds out he just thinks I'm easy, which is not the case. Most of those people were friends first and are still my friends, we just don't sleep together anymore.

I have had sex with 2 men and I believe around ten or more women all within the last 2 years (I started having sex at 18). I no longer seek out any sexual experiences with cisgendered males (excepting Mr. Evvie, who got in before the cut-off period).

I think some people feel worried about sexual experience if they've only slept with one or two people, but having a wide sexpartner pool really has nothing to do about sexual experience. You could have twelve one-night stands a year and go nowhere sexually, while having a committed partner you slap bits with five times a week can improve your sexual experiences quite a bit.

As far as worrying about a number being "too high", I think it might be a bit of a conundrum to have a person whom engages in sex with a huge number of partners but still find it distasteful or shameful to do so. I'm not sure when worrying about a number of partners has ever been a thing except where it was introduced to shame women for enjoying sex.

I'm painfully shy as well as socially oblivious, which makes dating awkward and I don't think I'm the one-night stand kind of guy, nothing against those that are it just takes a while for me to feel comfortable enough with someone to even consider sleeping with them

Everybody in the room with you was thinking about having sex with you, that it happened as often as it did is not even faintly surprising. Besides, I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time. As long as no one picked up any diseases, broke up any relationships or got pregnant, I don't see the problem.

Well, a quick count got me into the low twenties, and as always I'm sure i will be remembering some more for a day or two now, so I went with 25-35. For a lot of years my main focus in life was to become as good a lover as I could, so i took every chance I could to hone those skills. I am not sure if that is a good thing or not, but I have no regrets.

I count attempts as well. Most of mine were only attempts for some reason or another but the intent was there and there was some action taken and that counts to me. *shrug*

My number is high, I am a sex addict and went through a stage as a teenager that I managed to whack my number up in a VERY short space of time. Now I rarely sleep with anyone as once I do my self control starts getting worse. I was definitely slutty, but I have never been easy. The men I slept with were more my victims. Very happy/surprised victims who often would declare love to me and follow me around for weeks afterwards.
