it started off lower but when I accidentally added more because I was just bashing the ‘x’ the amount increased next time…One of many odd red flags with that ex!

This reminds me of a situation I heard about where a guy's girlfriend was complaining that he wasn't willing to stand up and defend her if ever necessary.
