I wish people wouldn't take one small look at an industry and then write an article on it. This is just as bad as the dudes who go to webcam sites, find out how much the top girls are making and decide they know exactly how they make that money and that they can help other girls make that money by writing an obnoxious and ill-informed post informing us of what we could also have spent two mins on mfc working out.

The industry is a massive industry, some models do earn insane amounts of money, but I don't think it's a good idea to make out that we're all earning small fortunes. Most girls earn around minimum wage, maybe slightly over, but it's also difficult to put long hours in on a webcam. It's like the acting industry, some people earn insane amounts, but there are a fuck load of people who act for a living who can barely pay the bills.

It being referred to as the "dark side" of the internet is an extremely naive statement. The internet is sadly a place where pedophiles, rapists, murderers and all kinds of horrible people communicate and make plans to do a whole load of horrible things to people. It's a place where a whole load of other very horrible things go on that are extremely dark. Camming isn't dark. Camming is a pretty girl sitting behind the screen talking to guys and possibly doing sexual things in return of money. I think in certain countries there are dark sides to camming, but as most camsites deliberately ban countries that seem to take advantage of girls the dark sides are limited.

One thing I'd like is for the image that all dudes who visit camsites/pay camgirls are total losers who "need" to pay girls. I have not heard this crap from one guy who doesn't watch a fair amount of free porn online. They don't seem to understand that someone enjoying live porn is no different to them enjoying pre made porn. Some guys like it to be a bit more realistic, and as for paying, well paying for it means you get a load more advantages and the experience in general feels more realistic, and also it's the polite thing to do. Porn shouldn't be free. It's something almost every man watches/has watched. The internet has made it free and lots of guys have taken advantage of that. Now guys just assume it should be free and that porn is their right.

I also don't like it when they say that camming is easy money. It is not easy in the slightest. Some girls do get it pretty easy from the start, but most girls work and grind at it just like in any other job.
