I agree with both as I not only get irritated when everyone is at an ok volume while going through cams till WHAM loud noises...then of course when I leave the room I have to readjust to the volume that most have it.

Sound however can be tricky on the model's side...I guess the best thing to do is test it if possible, by opening another tab and listening to how it sounds with a regular volume.

I would never turn off the tip noise because it makes me happy but I agree that you can always mention that her volume is a bit loud and she might want to turn it down.

There are soooo many reasons for a model to want her sound up. If it's loud enough that it's disturbing you, let her know! I'm sure she isn't doing it on purpose.

Well I can understand, if the sound is too high that it's peaking out the mic volume adjustment can't fix distortion.

True. But distortion is a different problem than simply "too loud." Although they are related.

One night I got chewed out by a model because I told her that her volume was causing her mic to overdrive, distorting her sound. She thought I was being presumptious and rude. Oh well. lol

Like when I'm clicking around and suddenly get that blast of tinny music and yelling, haha, I usually leave unless I already know & like the model. Agree. Although I've seen situations where the complaining member was the only one in the room who had a problem, and when the model turned her sound down, no one else could make out what she said.

It's good to feedback to the model problems you see with her feed, but models should make sure it's not just one individual who has the problem.

Honestly, one of the reasons I like cam sites is that most of the girls on them ARE 'normal women' in the looks department; as in women you'd potentially be able to see walking about. This isn't too say that there aren't gorgeous 'where do they grow women like that?' types, or the more overly made up 'porn hot' women as I refer to them... But most of them look like women any of us could meet in our lives.

When I'm browsing the home page, the girls that tend to grab my interest are the cute, 'normal' looking models. I like a girl next door look, generally. Attractive, but not over doing the name up. A really cute face goes a long way with me, regardless of body type.

I'm kind of the opposite, while I do like the "normal" looking girls, the ones that stand out the most for me are fit chicks & pornstar looking ones. That is actually something that shocked me the most about MFC because most of the top girls seem to just look like regular chicks. MFC has opened my eyes up a lot when it comes to camming, never did I think guys would be tipping cam models as much as they do on MFC. Hell, seeing Non-nude models on a cam site being #1 is still mind blowing to me lol! Sites like streamate don't have these kind of rankings and guys seem to be very stingy on there compared to MFC but that might be because MFC's " pay model" is different, you can't do shows in public on streamate, that site is mostly private shows (gold shows too) but MFC is all about those. So you don't see as much "tipping" on sites like that but I guess the money is spent on the private rate instead.








and about the sound stuff, I ALWAYS turn the models sound down. It starts at 50% and I probably put it down to 5-10 because I absolutely hate that tip noise lol

Yes, and I notice that people get like this over video game systems (Wii-U/PS4/XBox360) and cell phones too, and can be pretty obnoxious about it. Try telling a PS4 fanatic that you just bought a Wii-U system, and watch them go into a "You should've got a PS4 instead!" rant. Lol.

Yeah, that's an uncommon occurrence I hope. But still, if the sound isn't distorted, turning down volume at my end fixes most such problems. Another problem is where the music is so loud you can't hear the model talk...that really calls for feedback.

Things slow down the next month, and the cycle continues all over. She's ready to quit again.

As a model, I absolutely understand the struggle. I have been through it time and time again. I'll panic during slow times and think "DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE TO GO BACK TO MY VANILLA JOB?" \

I get it - and I also understand that sometimes members respond very well to those "crisis mode" type posts.

However, I strong believe "crisis mode" posts should be used SPARINGLY. Like, as little as possible. Threatening to leave is incredibly unprofessional in my eyes. It also makes me wonder how many times the members will cater to it. Will they eventually think, "Here she goes crying wolf again" and stop helping?

If things are slow, sometimes it doesn't hurt to say just that. "Hey, things are slow, I would really appreciate X, Y, or Z to help me during this time!"

If you really foresee that the end is near for your camming career, I think it's a good idea to plan out your very last show and make it a big party. Go crazy! Cry if you want to! But only if you ACTUALLY plan on leaving for real.

Spontaneous threats to leave just strike me as manipulative.

For me, the most annoying thing a model can do is ungrateful for tips. Example: A member tips 50 tokens (Chaturbate) and the model just shrugs it off or even goes as far as to say "that's it?" Especially if the model was just sitting there doing nothing when she got the tip.
You'd think it doesn't happen, but I've seen it more than once and I don't understand it. Like, yeah large tips are great but every little bit counts. Right?

I hate the MFC tip sound--it's just so loud and jangly and distracting (especially during a quiet, erotic show, or anytime with a yellow wall of 1 token tips). However, I have to admit that it might indeed have the effect of encouraging more tipping. I can't explain why. Maybe because it sounds vaguely like a slot machine. (BTW, here's an interesting WaPo article on the psychology of slot machine sounds. The goal, of course, is to encourage more betting.)

I used to think that MFC should allow models to change the sound, much like you change ringtones on your phone, but I'm pretty sure that 99% of the resulting choices might be more pleasant, but would lower the tip rate.

There are actually MFC tip sound ringtones. Horrifying!

What I love about tipping is when the model gets super excited, even if some you tip 10 tokens "wooohoo thanks" believe it or not I think some models get desensitized to tips amounts.

absolutely! I have a flash issue that makes me lose my tip sound when the flash memory get's tapped out pretty much every night. a heavy gif and yellow wall night will push it along even faster.
Anywho, If I lose my tip noise during a show and don't refresh to get it back, my tips from new people during said show are much less than if I had the tip noise.
