trying to figure out why so many studio models with only like 1000 followers are on featured page 1 and 2, They have only 23 to 50 users and only 3 or 4 are actual register users. How are they going straight to the #1 and #2 featured pages??? This is so unfair to all the other hard working models spending money and time to prepare .. just trying to get there to be noticed. These girls are going straight there!! They look like they on drugs or homeless alot of them. So far i have followed 58 of them.. working shifts around the clock. please tell me whats going on. Other models are getting really upset about this.. And im trying to let more know. Ive reported it .. in there rooms and email to cb .. Nothing happend.. I have all there names if anyone is interested. This must be stopped!!!! Because this puts other models back further on the pages. .. and this is there living and they have put the time in.

CB uses an algorithm that takes into account multiple factors to determine someones rank (not just on the FP but all the way down). If you rank 1-90 you're on the frontpage. Rank can constantly change. It gets updated every x time based on changes to the factors they take into account throughout the stream.

(Look at cbhours.com/user/putmodelnamehere and look at the charts, you can see the rank trajectory from all the models that way)

It's also true that they change up things in the algorithm, so things that might "help" 1 day might not help the next month.

CB intentionally keeps the exact workings of the algorithm secret. But they do give vague answers when you ask about it directly so there is some information they share.

For models themselves it's possible to figure out how to optimize stream and placement by analyzing stream data next to rankdata next to stream recordings to figure out what's working and what doesn't (and figure out why exactly). This is an ongoing effort because of the aforementioned changes that happen.
I’m horrified to learn that this is the case. I compete in auctions all the time, and know that there is a bid, a relevance and a quality score. Yet if someone out of the blue derails all placements and make your effort null, it makes me trust the platform less and less.
I run media campaigns for way over a 100k a month for tech clients, with hysterical costs per click that can exceed 40USD, and costs per lead that can reach over a 1000$, but at least I know what I’m up against and who are my direct competitors. I’m not pissed at you, just pissed at CB for being so f***ing vague.

More colored users in the room, position is refreshed often but i've never tried to the determine the exact time but I think its every 45 seconds?

thats affiliate traffic, when a model gets a high enough position they can be randomly selected to receive affiliate traffic from advertisers all over the internet participating in the affiliate program.
Affiliate program link???

I placed it in the group, but there are clicks on it, does it give traffic?

I went to see this for myself. I made sure my filters were set to default (show every region, default the models to “popular” and not random or whatever).

I did see some models that seemed legit hard to explain why they were Page 1, but it wasn’t 50-70 of them. It was closer to 12 or so. A low enough number that I could probably chalk it up to what I don’t know about the algorithm.

They also didn’t seem to all be from the same region. So there might be one studio gaining from this, but they’re not alone (if there is indeed something weird being exploited… which, again, we’ll probably never know). Knowing that a model can appear to be from a different region using a VPN setting, I actually spent time in a couple of the rooms that came up as South American. In both cases, the models were speaking out loud, and they definitely spoke fluent Spanish.

Side note: Not one model on those pages looked “drunk” as at least two people in this thread have asserted. And even if they did, I don’t know WTF that has to do with their page rank.

I’m sure it’s frustrating, but this feels like something you could escalate every day for months and never get an answer, let alone inspire change.

Lets say you own a popular website and you want to make money from chaturbates affiliate program, you would go to https://chaturbate.com/affiliates/linkcodes/ and pick a link you think will appeal to your audience. For example Current Top Room: Couple, Current Top Room: Female, etc etc then when they click your link on your site or iframe or however you set it up then they will visit that randomly selected top model for that category. That is why you can see 9000+ anonymous in a room because all the affiliate traffic is being diverted to them.

I've seen some odd
Sounds like an API, not an elaborate and dynamic algorithm. We over estimated their technological capacities.

No that traffic doesn't dictate site placement, that "traffic" comes with the placement you're able to get (a model I know that doesn't allow affiliate/outside websites usage of her room is still able to get to #1 on the site)

The top 15-20 rooms on CB are used on (popup) advertisements on other sites. The reason why those rooms have 10k (anon) users is due to the fact that CB doesn't just count active & signed in to the sitw (or even ON the site] viewers as viewers but also people scrolling on i.e. pornhub that get a random CB popup ad with a room. They might not even be aware of the ad/room but still count as a "viewer".

The site placement algorithm is completely seperate from this though because it doesn't take anon viewers into account at all.

So in a nutshell, how does the algorithm work and how do you have any initiative in scaling it? And how do we know what we know? Can you project your position in the upcoming streams? Is algorithm the word here, or a misnomer to a hidden practice by the platform we have no influence over? Just asking.

Who knows how it works, but will not tell

Which is exactly why we shouldn’t stress about it. If a new studio can come in and push all other positions away, there ain’t no point in anally fussing about it:)

Especially since it’s a moving target. If anyone ever did luck into figuring out the exact specs of the algorithm, it could be changed a day later.

True You specifically (and all other non-streamers) should definitely not stress about it. 😊

Focusing on site placement and stream growth for a model can be very functional. But seems more logical to discuss in Model Only.

Now I saw a new girl. she was not on the site. and she already has 40 thousand subscribers and 15 thousand views of the broadcast

Not “stressing” about it, but point taken. Sorry.

I have my own broadcast. and time after time a different amount of earnings. I don't know what to do. and hd+ camera and lighting. yes, even sit naked. no view

Sorry but can you explain how you know for sure the promote feature is not being used by these models? That seems like it completely explains why they would be on the front page with low viewers.
When I scan the front page random models appear with a “promoted” or “new” label over their thumbnail it’s easy to spot models that paid to be promoted. ;-)

you can change it yourself via 'settings' (the gear wheel in the top right of the page), available page refresh options are every 30, 45, 60, 90 seconds, or disabled.

Guys, come on! What have to do the algoritm with what cb is doing latelly front of all us by putting such a big nr of models straight to the front page. Nobody know the algoritm and yes,it changing from a day to another. This wasn t the point of this topic and as i said, there no problem if we see few new models on first page now and then. I v allways seen it all this years and is not big deal. The problem here was that cb just like that put a big nr of new models straight to page nr one for over one week now and i do not find it fair. Is why i was yelling here because i thought another models like me who have years on cb,have a small room and know how hard is to build a room from 0 will react and maybe together we will have en explanation from cb. An answer because i thought that we deserve it. I apology if i ofended someone or i upsed someone, not my intention at all. I just wanted to let you know the actual situation of cb right now because simply i do not find it fair and as i said i thought that maybe if we all will gonna send emails to cb they will give us an answer about all this. I already did it and theyr answer was totally out of what i asked. So,i gaved up because I saw cb just ignore us. Anyway, there nothing we can do just accept the situation and continue with our work like we always did. Thanks to all of you who made time to answer this topic and again,if i sounded crazy, jealous or frustrated i am sorry. I was angry,i was sad and i just can t stand unfair things. And this, what cb is doing latelly is very unfair, specially for small rooms hard workers over the years.

I completely agree! for the whole week 400 tokens! and 33 hours online. thanks cb. but on the 1st and 2nd page are the same. I go to 65 or a maximum of 20 saw myself

Make sure you uncheck "Show recommended cams", those don't follow the same rules as the rest of the algorithm, those are recommendations based on your personal viewing habits.
