Even though there is like six days left in the year, I want to know what are some people favorite moment(s) of 2010, I know some people didn't like 2010, but there has to be something that happen this year that put a smile on your face. For me I can think of three things that put a big smile on my face. Your favorite moment can be on MFC or off MFC.
My number one favorite moment is when I went to Mexico to visit my family who I haven't seen in two years, but mainly because I was able to attend my niece's big day which was her quinceanera, it was such an awesome day, my cousin, uncle, and I cried like little bitches when they played the video montage of her pictures from when she was a little baby to how she is today. Also my nephew informed me that he was a part of the farm system for the Chivas soccer team, so he has a long way before he goes pro and the best advice I gave him was not to be down about him only playing 25 minutes in the soccer game and that his hard work will pay off.
My second favorite moment was when my job chose me and another coworker to go build furniture for an after school program that was part of the Play60 charity event and got to build furniture with three players from the San Francisco 49ers. It was awesome I got paired up to build furniture with Manny Lawson, and just talking with him, his sense of humor was very similar to a friend of mine. I jokingly gave Manny Lawson crap about him wearing a Yankees cap, I had to sneak in a couple pictures of the niners because the manager in charge was like no photos.
Then third favorite moment of 2010 was the San Francisco Giants finally winning the World Series and going to the victory parade. I was at the bar with my nephew when we watching the final game of the world series, I was a nervous wreck when the final three innings came and the game was still scoreless, even after the three run homer run by Edgar, when it came to the bottom of the ninth I was still nervous as fuck because there could of been a chance of something going wrong, when it came to the final out everybody in the bar stood up and watched in silence as Brian Wilson was getting ready to throw which was known as the last strike of the game, as soon as the guy missed the ball and got struck out everybody got loud as fuck I got hugged by five different strangers from the bar who I don't know but we had something in common which was we all cheered for the Giants. So the night before the victory parade happened my crazy ass gets to the bus station to ride my way up to the city and sleep on the streets just to watch victory parade. Of course when I got to the civic center there were already people with their sleeping bags ready to sleep the night, and a couple local news truck there interviewing the fans, my cousin told me that when saw the early morning news she seen footage of me sleeping on the ground with the Giants fans. By the time the parade started I looked behind me to see thousands upon thousands of fans ready to see the World Series champions arrive at city hall to receive the key to the city.
