I was getting an error

"Sharing your cam is only available to users who have purchased tokens. Click OK to purchase tokens now"

despite purchasing tokens multiple times. When I reached out to support, they said, c2c requires age verification, this has never been the case and is also not the error I get. Can someone help me with what's going on?

I would imagine you're in an area that has started requiring more verification before broadcasting yourself. Lots of new laws going into effect.

I geniunely think this is a bug, the error message is totally different which is about token purchase and it seems like the purchase system does not realize that the profile has tokens. I would really appreciate if you can let chaturbate know about this.

The likely error is just that the text hasn't been updated for the new laws. It may have once only required token purchase to prove you're an adult, but now it's going to require ID verification to satisfy the law, and they just haven't gotten to that text yet.

I don't work for CB, so you're more than welcome to take a screenshot of the error and message CB support letting them know that the text doesn't match the request. The rep that posts here is not going to tell you anything other than to message support.

In the mean time if you want to do C2C, verify your ID like everyone else, or just skip C2C altogether.

You have to be verified to be on cam just like the actual models do. Submit your ID for age verification or give up C2C. That's it.

When I go to 'Broadcast yourself', I see this message:
You must submit age verification to enable the ability to receive tokens while broadcasting.
There used to be a cut-off date where newer accounts required age-verification to broadcast, but older ones just asked the user to accept the conditions of broadcasting including confirmation of legal age.
That may well have changed, to require ALL users to be age-verified, but if so then CB should really update the text above to reflect that.

Well that's fine but it's no one's job here to do that for him.

....aren't we skipping the most important question? What method did you use to buy tokens?

Because as far as I know it only works with credit card purchases.
I know that buying tokens lets you bypass the "Show ID to log in" prompt but not sure it lets you broadcast on cam.

Why would you doubt it or are you just not paying attention to the laws?
I'm querying what you wrote because the site tells me I would have to age-verify to receive tokens while broadcasting, not to broadcast, and the specific laws tightening up on access to adult content sites aren't applicable in the country I live in.

just a guess, but after getting sued by Texas I'm guessing cb isn't fucking around anymore

in your case, Australia passed some pretty hard core A/V laws last year, would explain why it's affecting you as well

since most regions with A/V don't recognize credit card use as proof of majority (not unusual for someone u/a to have a credit card), the method of purchasing tokens probably isn't a relevant factor

again, just a guess, but would imagine this is simply the site's method of locking down to ensure no one u/a appears on cam, whether it's to spend money or receive it

that's essentially what support wrote to the OP. I could be wrong of course, but it would make sense. the conflicting support message vs what actually appears on their screen is def confusing though

It's not affected me at all, I never said that. I am still able to broadcast unverified, if I wanted to.

ah, I misunderstood

the new Oz A/V laws def have a porn component though (I think the social media element got the most play in the media?). I wouldn't be surprised if cb rolls out A/V for everyone at some point so maybe they're doing it region/nation one at a time? I'm actually surprised your location hasn't been hit yet

who knows, hopefully the OP will report back on how this issue gets resolved for them

intradasting in your case though, thanks for clarifying
