Hello all! Brand new webcam model team (we're a couple) who's excited to find a community to bounce ideas off of as we don't have many friends in the cam biz. We just started working on Chaturbate and have a few questions about the platform that we just can't find the answers to on their support pages. This community seems really helpful and knowledgeable so we hope there's someone out there who can help us muddle through the nitty gritty of getting started! (And we're excited to get to the point where we have enough experience to help out other noobs.) So there are a few roadblocks we've run into so far:

1) Missed the "New" Tag is it worth starting over?
I've heard that having the "NEW" label associated with a feed is really good for getting viewers when you're starting out on cam. We did our first broadcast last night but did not have this label associated with our account. Turns out that CB only gives you this tag for the first week after you're age verified (we'd assumed it had to do with when you do your first broadcast.) We didn't know this and signed up for our account a month before we could actually start broadcasting.

So the question: Is it worth it to start over and create a new account to get the "new" label for the first week? And if we make a new account but use our same IDs for verification would we still get the "new" label or does CB track the IDs to determine who's new?

2) Fanclub Prices - Is the monthly price grandfathered in if you raise the price?
We want to use CBs fanclub feature to and create some special content for people in the club. We were thinking it might be a good marketing strategy to start the fanclub at a lower cost than we might eventually stick with to incentivize people to get in early. The question is if a viewer signs up for the fan club at a lower price, and then we later raise the price of our fanclub, would that person be billed the higher amount going forward or is their price point grandfathered in at the price when they signed up? (We don't want to tell people they can join early to get a better price and then end up raising the price on them unexpectedly.)

3.Messages - Do models need a premium account to send them?
As a broadcaster do you need to upgrade your account to be a "supporter" to have PM privileges on CB? I know that viewers need to do this but I find it hard to believe that the site would charge the models to use this feature. That said we haven't been able to find where the messaging functionality. In our first show one of the viewers who was tipping well said they'd sent us a PM. We can't be sure that they actually did, but we didn't know where to look for it and we don't want to miss messages from good tippers.

Q & A:

1.The new tags lasts for 7 days once you make your account. We suggest focusing on, 1. Building up your followers (Don't be shy to ask your chatroom to follow you!) 2. Using our hashtags to help members find you more easily. 3. Customizing your profile & add videos/photos. 4. Promoting yourself & your Chaturbate shows on social media. I.E: Twitter, Tumblr & Instagram. 5. Playing around with different time blocks. These tricks are way more beneficially for you in the long run, rather then keep making new accounts for the sake of tags.

2. The price a member pays to first join a fanclub is what they are charged monthly. All previous subscriptions are grandfathered into the originally price, even if you choose to select a higher option.

3. Models don't been premium accounts, although some models enjoy the option of not seeing ads. (The premium accounts block ads)
