I apologize if this is not in the right thread or section, I'm new here and did look for a thread or forum for "beware" type posts but didn't see it.

So I just wanted to give a heads up that there cam model/porn actress Hope Harper is running a fake skype show scam. She will post on twitter asking if anyone wants a skype show, then once you pay she disappears. Happened to me yesterday and I lost 100 bucks. I probably should have wondered a bit more when she insisted the only payment she will take is Western Union wire transfer. Anyway, if this info helps anyone else avoid being a victim my post here will not have been in vain. Interesting that out of the 50 or so shows I've done throughout the years the only time I get scammed is by a porn actress who has material all over the internet as opposed to just someone that cams and that's it.

Are you sure it is even her account, and not just someone using her name and pictures to scam people?

Haha, you beat me to it.
The only twitter account I can find has barely over 1000 followers, which is actually really suspicious for a porn star that has content all over the internet.

He's also making the rounds on other forums too. Posted pretty much the same message, but with that twitter address too.

The funny thing is he said he paid her then after 3 hours he did all this posting.

Quote from his message on other site.
Once it went through I got the confirmation email that the receiver (her) picked up the money and haven't heard from her since. That was roughly 3 hours ago now. I've sent multiple messages to her through Skype with no response, while at the same time I've watched her make more posts on twitter. Shady as hell and really surprised this sort of thing would happen with a known porn model.

So in reality we don't even know if it was a scam. She might have just went to bed for the night. Talk about one impatient dude!

It's her Twitter account and it was her for sure. And 2 days later still no show or my money back. I emailed her saying I would report her for fraud through Western union and she admitted doing it in her reply. Said she would send money back but hasn't so far. Funny thing was when I sent the money western union called me to verify my info since I hadn't used it before and they asked me why so many people are sending her money from various locations. Wonder how many other people she took for 100 bucks

Maybe you have a desire to defend all models or something? I paid 100 bucks and never got a show. That's not ok, and while at the time it was only 3 hours, it's now been 2 days. Also, our conversation leading up to the payment and supposed show entailed that the show would begin immediately after payment was received. After that expectation, paying 100 dollars, then the model going silent thereafter while still listing up Twitter, anyone would be suspicious and wonder what was going on. Sorry if I wasn't patient enough for you, let's have you in that situation and see how patient you are. And of course I'm posting all over, it's what people do who get scammed out of money and want people to know so that others who see the posts hopefully won't get scammed themselves.

you didn't explain those things! We run into guys who expect an immediate show when we're apt only type girls etc etc.

if you were scammed that is really shitty. For sure.

can you link to the twitter? quite often people create fake accounts that they use pornstars pics without permission. Some of them gain excessive followers (i've seen 20 or 30k)

They use these to convince men like you to send them money, gifts etc

BTW western union is something that requires a name/ID to pick up. which means whatever name she gave you to have the $$ picked up under can be reported to the police. Most porn stars and camgirls never do this... because we are concerned with our privacy, so we don't use western union. So im pretty sure you may have fallen for a scam run by someone who may not even be the person you thought they were. iN this case, this needs to be cleared up because you could be shaming someone who has ZERO idea about her name being used in a scam.

Hope this clears some stuff up.

Sorry I wasn't more clear originally. It wasn't fake and I will tell you why, I was also a little suspicious myself so before I agreed to pay I asked her to give me a quick Skype call so I could see it was really her, then I would pay, then we do show. She called, the call lasted 15-20 seconds? It was her. She was in her bathroom and told me while I pay she is going to put makeup on. I have screen shots of my Skype chat log which shows this brief call and also that there was never another one. It was her. Now, regarding the name, I don't know if it was her real one she gave me for western union, but I'm assuming it is since like you say they need ID. And that name matches her Skype and email name too, but who knows for sure. I likely will contact the police about it. I actually have screen shots of all out Twitter and Skype chat logs.

You asked for the Twitter link here it is - just scroll down a few tweets her Skype show tweet and replies to it are still there

All googling comes up with some twitter for Hope Harper that's been deleted (was lovedivine or somesuch). There's always a huge chance this is a catfish issue and that isn't her real acct.

I looked around, and I did find this.

So that might be a real adult model agency that thinks it is her real account, or an elaborate scam. I kind of ran into a dead end at that point.

Did you read the previous post, it explains why I know 100% it was her. I was suspicious so before I paid I asked her to show me it was her for real - so she video called on Skype to show me and it was her alright. We talked for less than a minute and then ended the call, she said she would get ready and we would do the show right when I paid. After I saw it was her I felt comfortable thinking it should be fine and I paid. Ultimately of course it wasn't fine

She is a model with the 101modeling agency. Nothing happened with her Twitter except she changed her name there from lovedivine001 to HopeHarperXXX. I linked her active Twitter in a previous post - it is hers. I would think maybe it was fake too if I didn't see her with my own eyes which I just described in my previous post

And guy could have recorded her at any time and then played that to you. Even just a girl who looks like her a lot. You get that right? Im not saying it wasnt really her or it was cause I dont know. But just to inform you guys record girls and tape that stuff and use it later for shit like this. Theyll record any pretty girl and try to catfish people. Girls here have gotten custom video requests of scripts that would come off as great for catfishing. And another girl just recently found out her custom was used for some devious shit on purpose. Just a simple custom and the guy is not using it for crap like this kinda. No joke. So I just wanted to let you know you may have just been duped really good. One 20 second recording of a girl saying "Hi it's me, see i'm real" etc would fool a lot of guys into thinking it really is some hot girl.

Miss_Lollipop said:
there's a catfishing program out there that actually has interactive recordings you can use. Like it looks like a real girl.. on skype..etc.. this is exactly how they get you.

Thats what I was referring to. Oneof the girls here is on there but thought she was just doing a custom vid for someone.

This screams catfishing.

Jeez, I think we all say really generic things on a regular basis that could be recorded and used in a variety of ways by scammers. The vast majority of camgirls will have once said that they will Skype or send a video or whatever else after someone has paid, so that is about as cliche of a line as you can get.

Also if someone is serious about providing Skype shows, taking an extra five minutes to have an actual conversation with the interested person is not something crazy or out of the ordinary, especially if the person only found her through Twitter. 15-20 seconds of her being on cam is not enough to verify that it's her.

Sorry to hear that you got scammed, but now you're a little more aware of what to avoid in the future.
