MFC makes models look all washed out and fuzzy normally so I think the HD option is great. If people run screaming from you in real life when they see you HD could cause problems, but otherwise I think it will help.

Yeah, I wasn't really referring to that particular issue. If you think it is a problem, I bet it can be fixed or reduced to the point where you are happy with the image. I'm no expert, but I recommend you start doing your homework now.

If there is not any info on the model's section here, there are a myriad of resources on the internet: fashion model/actress forums; MUA forums; Photographer/Videographer forums, etc. There are many counter-measures you can utilize: different make-up (shades, brands, etc), different camera angles, all kinds of lighting choices, camera filters (don't know if they exist for webcams), etc. Maybe start test recording yourself in different resolutions (480i/p, 720, etc). If anyone knows what the "MFC HD" rez is, try that. It definitely won't be the same as the broadcast stream, but you might get a better perspective on how you look before HD goes live/mandatory.

I'll give you an example: a few seasons ago there was a girl on American Idol who had an acne problem. One night it was very obvious, painfully obvious. The girls had the next night off, and when she came back on stage the following night, she looked much better. This was not one zit, it was over her whole face. No miracles occured...just a lot of MUA/Photog tricks to build the illusion.

I'm mostly worried about hairy legs and HD. I wax my legs but there is a period when my legs don't look so hot in real life due to that icky waxing wait period.

Also, butt pimples. No one wants them to happen, but they do happen at generally the worst of times and HD means they won't be hidden easily. :[ I love shoving my bum in the cam.

Yea I will try something else cause part of my acne problem is my birthcontrol actually it is my MAIN and I cannot afford to get it taken out till my taxes come in so I cant wait! But I will try HD just to see if ppl like it. Hope it comes back since adobe is now updated to 11.0 now.

First, stop using proactive. It does not work. In fact, it is often the cause of more acne! If you want, I'll gladly trade skin with you. I get cystic acne over my whole body. They're usually about 3 inches in diameter, under the skin (for those that know what that means, OUCH!) and take 4 weeks to clear up. Second, use a real skin treatment option like Mary Kay, St. Ives or Noxema. Those all actually work and are good for your skin. Third, if you're not on birth control you and have no reason you shouldn't be on it then you might want to look into that.
Other advice:
toner
acne spot treatment gels
gentle exfoliators
moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

About HD, I'm really excited even though I've already stated that. Acne and all I still think it would improve my camming. I'll probably get a couple trolls for what acne does show but they can suck my butthole. I think HD is an improvement for most of the girls on here and I'm thrilled to see what happens when they roll it out.

I'm using HD on Streamate, and I have a few pimples. That spot type cover up works great, and I still don't have to shave my legs (never have; it's thin short and invisible.)

It's still only going up to 640x480; you have nothing to fear.

Personally I think HD will be great unless your connection/equipment is not able to handle the stream for a good flow. I've noticed more than usual some jumpy feeds on MFC this last week anyway.

On the other hand, I understand some of the "cosmetic concerns" as well.
I was just in a room last night [not MFC obviously] that the girls skin tone was pale and her public hair was very dark. Yes, she was shaved...sort of. The 'BUT' here is that she had what could be viewed as a 3-4 day stubble..... from her bikini fold all the way into her inner thigh area the size of my hand down both legs. Sorry.... thats terrible unattractive. The stubble thing may be desirable on some guys face, but at least IMO, not like this. Either let it grow out some so you can landscape "the thicket", or maintain the clean look. Maybe MFC needs to add a Wiki page about HD cam image filtering effects.

Aaron is still working on HD. Thursday, they activated the HD for me to test out.

Its not as "HD" as it was before. If that makes any sense.

The privates werent working at all with HD and it was kinda glitchy. Groups seemed to work fine though.

EEK! butt pimples! i know. and ingrown hair red bumps. and the waxing waiting period for brazilian waxes. i use coverup on red spots sometimes anyway but it tends to rub off pretty fast.. so terrified for HD

Regarding pimples, I've never used ProActiv and don't plan on using it. I get the occasional pimple on my face, neck and shoulders and have tried using a few products over the years. For a while I was using TersaSeptic, an antibacterial face wash but found it to be too drying and actually caused breakouts. Recently I started using Spectro Jel, a flipping awesome skin care product. It's non drying, moisturizing, doesn't foam up, doesn't cause breakouts. It's available in Canada everywhere but to get it in the USA I've found one website that ships to the USA - http://well.ca/products/spectro-jel_372 ... rrency=USD.

Oh dear, birth control was hell for me too. I tried about 8 or 9 different pills and they all sucked and gave me one problem or another. I finally went off of it last year and I feel soooo much better now.
Just out of curiosity, why do you have to wait until taxes come to go off birth control? Can't you just stop taking the pills?

It would seem HD is back for Beta, but it wasn't announced on our admin page as far as I know. I just happen to email back and forth with an Admin about the web broadcaster, and his latest reply mentioned that HD was enabled on it again for Beta.

So I tried it last night. Worked better than it did in previous attempts, but I know some people were getting a white screen and couldn't view me even if they refreshed a dozen times. I dunno!

The 9000 is 720p HD. The C910 is 1080p HD.

Lol yes aware of the issue. I just emailed the Admin about it in hopes he'll have some solutions.
