My daughter was recently diagnosed with autism and ADHD and because the therapy costs so much,i decided to make a fundraiser for her.She goes to therapy every day for 3 hours a day.

I've been sharing it on Facebook and i've asked my friends to share it but its just not working.Apparently if it's not their direct problem it doesn't concern them. It's really beyond my means to pay the therapy as there is no one to watch her in order for me to work more and her father has no interest in her.Recently i haven't been working on MFC as much as i used to because she needs my constant attention and i am a single mother.
i guess my questions are:Is it legal to share this link to the members i am close to?Can i post it on my profile?I'm not very popular on MFC,i don't know if that is of any consequence.
Does anyone have any idea where else i may post this?I'm really at my wit's end. Here there is no kind of support for autism, most people haven't even heard of it and i don't know where else to turn to.
I hope someone has an idea on where to share this or what else to do.
Thank you so much for your time and i'm looking forward to your replies.

Gofundme.com is one of the most popular sites, if not THE most popular, for fundraising causes like yours. It places your cause on a public directory so more people can view your case (if you don't mind that). Essentially there's more exposure on gofundme.

Have you tried looking into Medicaid eligibility or whatever government assistance is available in your area??

No one's heard of autism huh. Interesting... Autism in children has grown at a frightening rate in the last decade. Here in California, there are so many nonprofit organizations focusing on it directly. Maybe try an extensive google search for an organization near you...

As far as the legality of sharing your link on mfc, i don't have any answers for that. Although i don't see how it would be against the rules

Thanks for the tip.I will make an account on gofundme.
I live in Europe and,as far as the manager from the center says, the government would rather ignore it because they say and i quote''we have enough diseases''.
There is a law that says any child that suffers from autism will get free medical assistance but therapy is not covered.I wasn't surprised seeing as because i'm a single non-working mother i get less money than a married working mother. If you're wondering on the amount,it's shameful:the equivalent of 13 dollars. Not even enough to buy diapers. But this is the wonderful country i live in so it was more or less expected.

I would suggest not sharing the link on your work twitter or on MFC, at least not openly. Quite a few of those funding sites are very against sex workers and they over-react at any sign of potential 'misconduct' - for example, Gofundme recently blocked the campaign of a porn star who needed quite a bit of money to pay for her healthcare simply because of a tweet from *someone else* offering content for anyone that donated to her campaign: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... aiser.html (sure, it's the daily mail, but the story is pretty much as how they tell it)

Edit: A better link - http://www.xojane.com/it-happened-to-me ... iveforward
