Hi guys, I would like to know if webcam modelling is same as porn acting? Or there is fine line between them?Meaning are webcam site (amateur or professional :speechless:) different from other adult related content or both together constitute as adult industry ?

Camming is definitely a part of the adult industry, yes. Though some people toe the line between vanilla streaming and streaming adult content. It depends on the performer and what they're doing on what sites imo.

As far as if it's the same as porn... ehhhhh, depends on who you ask. I personally don't see any reason to try and compare the two, there are a lot of crossovers and a lot of differences and it varies from experience to experience.

I think the encompassing term for the adult industry is "Sex Work". A porn star and a cam model are "sex workers". I think "Porn" really equates to filmed movies. CamModel is to me more about live shows. There are non-nude cammodels but by nature they are still "Sex Workers" I believe.

Traditional porn involves sex with strangers. Your getting tested regularly for STDs. Your usually an actor being hire and payed. There are interviews, contracts. Usually there is a camera man, director, lighting, sound, makeup, extra. Your basically having sex in front of many people. And there multiple takes.

Most of MFC, your just by yourself. You have to do every thing. Your lighting, sound, makeup, camera man, model, extra. Your not being payed because you showed up; you got to hustle.

Porn there is usually a script, you don't have to be a social butterfly. MFC your talking to a ton of people constantly.

Some people do both. And there are couples who cam. And the occasional cam cross over. I don’t think there are the same protection for cam models that there are for traditional porn actors. Like mandatory, regular testing. (for people who are having sex with strangers)
