Hello ACF. I have two main questions regarding how you handle having friends in your clips. For context, no one is showing face.
  1. Do you have them sign any sort of legal document for consent or a release of liability?
  2. How do you approach this conversation and which points, if any, do you make sure to cover? Example of topics but not wording: "Hey, I want to suck your dick and record it. You will have to sign a consent form, I will be selling the clip, and you will not get a cut".
Thank you in advance! xo

Oh for sure! Do you normally offer people a cut? Or only f they’re professionals?

The only time I've ever filmed with non-industry people I just pay a flat fee for rights. If they're professionals I typically trade clips or share rights. Or in the case of custom videos, I give them a cut of the custom amount (usually 40% if I'm doing the editing and set up) One time I made my PA play Santa in a video :p He got a big bonus...

Don't try and offer percentages, there's no way to easily track this over sites and you'd have to stay in contact and make payments into perpetuity. That could be really difficult to do. Much simpler to simply pay a flat fee.
I also suggest that you get a signed NDA that states they can't share personal information about you or trade secrets. This will help protect you from being doxxed.
