Models. You need to realize this right now. ANY time you put something on the internet, it is there FOREVER. It can never be eliminated, and eventually it will be found by someone who you'd rather not find it.

For example, any time you are on cam, you should assume that images or videos of that cam show will be recorded and put on the internet forever. I'm talking private shows, group shows, and ESPECIALLY public shows. It's already the case that MFC owns the rights to all of said imagery and video, and can do with it what they like.

You may not like it when members record your shows and upload them to different places on the internet, and you can try hard to get those images taken down. Sometimes you may find that you are even successful with getting an instance of something taken down. But the truth is, once it's out there it is impossible to fully retract. All it takes is one person to have saved a copy of it before it got taken down, and it can be reposted again. There is jack shit you can do about it, so it is not worth your time trying to take it down. It will only delay the inevitable, and could in fact speed it up by pissing people off and making them post it more.

A lot of models use location-block in order to block people from their hometown and surrounding area from seeing them. This is a decent short-term solution, but in the end, it's pointless. There is absolutely no way to guarantee that people from your home town will never find out. All it takes is one time for someone you know from real life to be travelling out of state and see you online, or see your pictures. It is also easy for technically-savvy people to use a proxy to get around location blocks. The point is, location block is only a temporary solution, and there are ways around it. You will be found out. It is only a matter of time.

Let's say you're super lucky, and during your several-year stint as a camwhore, you are never found by someone you know in real life. You think you're off the hook? Along with all the imagery MFC has recorded of you and could sell at any point in time, you can bet that random members (and guests!) have taken lots of imagery too. It will be on the internet forever. 40 years down the road, your kids will stumble across naked pictures and videos of you on the internet. It's going to happen. This is reality, and there is nothing you can do to change it.

The point? If you don't want your friends and family to find out you're a camwhore, then don't become a camwhore. Don't want your grandkids to see videos of you anally fisting yourself? Then don't become a camwhore. Don't want the local authorities to find out you're a camwhore? I think I'm becoming redundant here.

Do you think your real-life identity is secret? All it takes is ONE person you know from real life to find you on MFC and leak your identity. It's going to happen eventually. Hopefully it won't happen for a while, but you need to be prepared for the day when it does happen, because mark my words, it will.

Once something is on the internet, it is there forever. Making an attempt to change that fact only makes you look stupid.

That's one of the main reasons I don't want kids, and my husband and his friends think I'm stupid and it will never happen. But seeing as I have 55,000 pictures of myself on one site, and 51,000 on my own website, I'm sure there's more chance my content ending up in places! Especially as I've been posting pictures of myself all over the internet for the last 6 years, so it wouldn't suprise me if others have done the same.
It only really annoys me if people remove my watermark when they re post my stuff, I could do with the advertisement hahaha!

I feel sorry for the girls who live at home and their parents don't know about them being on MFC, what if their parents/family found out and they had to leave home?!

When I first started making money from pictures online I told my parents about it, but lied a little and just said it was just topless and my face wasn't shown. Then I got my own site and did camming and started making lots more money, and my parents guessed I was doing something more than topless and kicked me out coz they didn't want porn being made under their roof, lol! I didn't actually tell them it was solo and wasn't really porn, but I didn't deniy it either, so I'm not really sure what they thought I was doing haha!

My husbands parents knew what I did from the moment he got with me, which scared me as I thought they'd hate me for it too but they were okay with it. :S

If other family members found out I wouldn't really care, not like they can disown me, I really ever see them anyway. I'm an adult now, I live on my own with my husband, they can't control me or tell me what to do anymore. If they don't like it, tough titties!

I think I've gone off topic again, ooops. Sorrry. I'm sure I started on topic but drifted off as usual rambling on about random crap no one cares about haha.

Erm so yeah anyway, yeah I don't know how people can put stuff online and think only people who buy it will see it, I agree. :)
I think that's what you said anyway. I'm going to stop typing now. :)

*Edit*
Sorry I just saw what this post is about. I thought it was a post in general or something, sorry sorry sorry!

Dear Bawksy,

I know you can be a real troll sometimes (lol..) but everything you wrote above is 100% true and any girl should be well aware of it.
I personally don't give a fuck about others finding out, I live on my own since 14 so what my family thinks really does not concern me anymore.
I don't do open penetration in free chat but have seen 50+ of my PVTs on open forums....What can you do ? Nothing.....
It is like being in porn. When you decide to do it , accept the consequences. Ask them to take it down?...hahahaha...5 minutes later it is on the next one.... Let them have their fun.... But I think any girl considering cam work should read what you wrote above MANDATORY.... (Oh yes, be nice to Sveta, she is a sweet ( and in my opinion gorgeous) girl....)

One of my biggest pet peeves is camgirls whining about seeing a screencap or recorded video of theirs posted on random forums. They feel that its a violation of their privacy...but what they don't get is that they're NOT and NEVER WILL be doing "private acts". If you don't want your ass all over the web, THEN DON'T PUT IT OUT THERE ON THE WEB IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Perhaps somewhat strongly stated, but not completely unreasonable.

Some models are 'safer' than others.
Only interesting content stays around.

If you're #854 on Miss MFC, and you do 'vanilla' shows - maybe nobody will be saving it.
Or if they do, they're the type that is saving everything, and probably not indexing it.

The risk is pretty much limited to a pretty small chance of one of your hardcore of fans recognising you in 15 years, and digging out that old, dusty blu-ray of old streams.

For more popular models, or unusualy hot shows, there is likely to be video floating around.

But - in 15 years - who is going to be watching bad quality 320*240 streams, when they could be watching 'fresh' content.

There is another risk though.

While the risk of random fans recognizing you (models, not bawksy (unless he's on some of the mancam sites)) is there, and will always be present, at the moment there is no easy way to search video for particular people.

I would expect this to change in the next 15-30 years.

It's probably already available today in a limited form somewhere - being able to search video for blue eyed females with a C cup, BMI of 18 or whatever, and a scar on their left arm.

But not yet able to take one video clip (say you getting off the plane on the arm of the president (and this time I do mean bawksy) and automatically searching for a 20 years younger person in all stored videos.

I would expect this to change.

It's - probably - unlikely that the whole MFC video archive will leak, so it's not quite as simple as being able to search all of MFC for a matching model to that clip.

Also - while of course they could record everything, and they may record snapshots - and certainly group and private shows, are they really going to be spending around a couple of thousand dollars a day to archive everything?

So - any exposure by this route would depend on how many videos the average person that thought to do the scan had, and how easy it was.

I totally understand what you saying, although if X prem member tells my bj video is on X site and gives me the link I am going to try to get it taken down. I know that they will pop up on other sites as well since they have. I know I probably have stuff in other places, it is just something I do. I know what I do is out there forever, and I am okay with it. I do block off Florida from seeing me because I feel safer that way. I know that it is not going to solve everything and people still may see me, it just makes me more comfortable. I dont know I am weird. But you are right, everyone you do on the internet is there forever, no running from it.

Let's meet Bob.

Hi, I'm Bob. (Hi Bob!) I was horny so I went to www.fictitiouspornhost.com to rub one out. I see a video of a really hot girl playing with herself - looks like into a webcam! She did things I didn't even knew existed ! Wow - if I wanted to see more of this girl, where would I go ? Hmm, doesn't say in the film or the description :( Oh, but in the comments - the model herself has posted a link (with the referral code) to where she can be found , and even included a flirty invitation for me to join her there! Oh joy of joys, I will now get to meet and interact with this incredible babe of my dreams ! I will click the link, become a member and give her too many tokens! I'm a happy Bob, and the model I saw on www.ficticiouspornhost.com is happy because her post led to me having an opportunity to make money.

Bye Bob!

While I am not arguing that someone shouldn't post your pics/vids wherever, they are going to, and it is a given. Since we know that this is going to happen, instead of letting it get you upset, show them where they can see you live, and who knows you may make money off them.

In fact, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that some models have posted their stuff themselves under a pseudonym and of course including the link. Maybe you will even do it.

Keep in mind that people can look at pictures and watch movies, but no one can recreate the experience of a live interaction with a model (at least not yet). Having a model respond to something you just said - for example , you can't ask a video "Sharpie in pooper?" and get a response. You can't tell a video a joke and have it laugh at what you said.

I think maybe it helps sometimes to look at things from a different perspective.

I thought I was too boring to get my content 'stolen' but a lot of my most stolen stuff is non nude or not doing anything sexually. *confused*

It's good that no one is likely to take screenshots of me/record me on MFC though, coz I'm boring as fuck there/don't do fuck all, wahey. :D

FifthElephant makes a great point with regards to facial recognition software. You might be an unpopular model now who flies beneath the radar, but it will only be a matter of time before we have computers powerful enough to scan the entire internet for pictures of a certain person.

This capability already exists in limited form today. Check out http://www.tineye.com. Tineye lets you search for variations on an image, but doesn't quite do facial recognition yet. But you can see where the technology is headed. Upload a picture of a girl, and find every other picture or video of her on the internet. I'd say we're definitely going to have that kind of technology in the next 30 years.

i agree that it's pretty likely that your stuff is going to go out. there are forums of people just posting stuff they steal/record off webcams. and the vanilla stuff- this is so ridiculous, but there is a site that charges a monthly membership that has a video of me in public on mfc. it's not a show, and i think i wasn't naked in the vid (i can't remember), i think i shake my ass at the cam or something. sooo boring- so if some pay site has picked that up (apparently i'm "18 year old lindsay") and is charging people to see it.. god knows what else is out there.
but about my future children finding my stuff? my parents? maybe. but given the VAST amount of content there is out there, i don't think it's LIKELY. i'm fully aware of the risk, and okay with it, but that's a major reason that i don't have videos for sale, and a major reason i don't do shows with a guy (off mfc). i don't think i would be shocked if someone i knew came across recordings of me-- but i have trouble finding my stuff, and i know to look for it, because i know that it exists-- i can't imagine twenty years from now my mythical son is going to be searching for his mother the camgirl. but.. you never know.

but then.. there is the possibility of facial recognition. if that ever comes out.. you can bet i'll be searching the faces of everyone i know to know about their dirty secrets.. hehe.

I know the risks. I choose to take the risks. I may be upset when the risks turn out the wrong way anyway. After all... you know the risks when you have a surgery. Does that mean you won't be upset if the surgery goes wrong?

Yeah, I know, different things. But not really.

As to my family finding out- not likely. Unless they get redirected by a link that looks perfectly safe. My family's just not into porn.

honestly anyone getting into this biz needs to think to themselves their is a good chance someone they know at one point or another is gonna actually recognize them in public.

It happens. seriously if your that worried about it maybe you should not bother bein on cam, but this is (for some) easy money to make from home. Its safe because the net is relatively anonymous. so its easy to settle into being in happy friendly naked mode.

most people would honestly not sit in a room where random strangers walk in and sit there holding their dicks. (ok I know NOT ALL of them hold their dicks lol)

basically like everyone is saying, if you dont want it out there dont put it out there. because it does can and will be out there even if you didnt promote it

(sorry i always forget my punctuation lol)

Of course even in peep show places they have problems with people recording the shows and posting them all over too.

a-fucking-men. i know so many ladies who do online sex work (not just camming but nude modeling, etc) and freak out when they see their content on torrent sites. um what did you think was going to happen? trying to take something off the internet is like trying to take piss out of pool. not.going.to.happen.

I have seen a lot of models claim their IRL job is that of a teacher, or substitute teacher, kindergarten teacher, etc.. There's been several teachers fired over far less exposure than being a cam girl. Makes me wonder...

Then there's the children.

TheInternet-1.jpg

I've seen a few claim they are teachers, I very much doubt anyone would risk all that investment just to do some cam'ing, Especially the one called teacher36dd

New here, but already respecting your posts Bawks! :)

The last year has shown me that it gets out more often than NOT, although it seems 10,000 times more likely for images rather than video, that's only because images are easier to work with.

I know one girl who was a teacher IRL - I know others who are startlingly intelligent and studying to become investment bankers, lawyers and doctors...

Thinking models only work on the cam is naive when you consider the payout... MFC takes half the money AND MFC owns the end product - when you consider MFC gives the best deal out there (from what clients have told me) this wouldn't be acceptable in any other entertainment industry.
e.g. Most entertainers IRL that I know personally pay agents 15-25% and those agents work their BUTTS off to get them work and protect their clients! My own agent takes 15% and handles ALL my legal fees... I wonder if MFC is active in protecting the girls that provide them with an income?

I know there are many extremely intelligent women working MFC. My point was how risky it is for a teacher, if she values her teaching position. Teachers have been fired for far less exposure.

I just wanted to let models know that it might be an idea to steer away from Yahoo accounts. I'm helping someone who is trying to have her details removed from a site that actually pays money for verifiable information to associate with Yahoo! IDs - I did a quick check and found at least 12 clients' details (some more detailed than others) on the site. I doubt it is a lone site, but it's getting google hits which makes this personal information far to easy to access.

In contrast, I have a Yahoo account linked to my public life and there is not one shred of the private information I have in my Yahoo account on the site, so this strongly suggests the information is being manually uploaded for money by people on model contact lists.

Please be careful who you trust with personal information, even a little.

P.S. Don't use your real name in your model yahoo address unless you want all of bawksy's predictions to come true far too quickly :(

actually when i started this biz i picked my model name and promptly set up a gmail account. using said name lol. anything else has been set up with my screen name when it is related to this industry. now the sites i work for have my real name. they have to for legal and payroll matters. but on my regular msngr i dont even use my real name. I tell people all the time not to use your real name. the only exception for my real govt name to be connected to a email account was when i was lookin for work i made one up simply to be easier to contact. that is used for work, school and actual family..

shit i just realized - i have like.. 6 online personae and um.. enough emails to cover them lol

I know some models who began making movies now. Small sex movies. With friends or boyfriends. One sells the movies for tokens, but sent by msn, skype or yahoo. afraid to put servers on the Internet. One way to protect because they are afraid that one day the films appearing on the Internet. Because such studies and one day while at work. All they do get on the internet. I do not know if some models tell the truth if they study or not. But doing this is to think carefully and take the consequences. She became hysterical when she saw a prvt a website. Now he makes films ... The most certain is for someone .. on the internet ... you never know. Some members may even see the other film. Type model to purchase a movie for 500 tokens and now member of mfc sell to others for 200 tokens. As can send tokens between users. is a mafia

I just watch porn and have completely separated my real self from the person on here. The only think connecting me to me is the few people that have seen my user cam.

I agree with what everyone has said! Once something is out there on the internet, it is there forever unless it is deleted. There was a model that gave me some of her videos as presents for buying stuff off of her wishlists on Amazon and I uploaded one of those videos onto a porn site and she found out about it somehow and went absolutely ballistic!

She then emailed the site and had the video taken down!

If she didn't want me uploading that video, then she shouldn't have given it to me as a present for getting something off of her Amazon wishlist in the first place! The video gets taken down, but it's going to end up coming back somewhere else on another site, regardless of the fact of if it's another porn site or on the torrents.

Overreacting and being like "Oh my God, somebody uploaded a video I gave them onto a porn site! I'm going to get it deleted!" as well as acting like you're an immature teenager instead of acting the age that you say you are absolutely isn't going to help you out either!

Just because she gave you a copy of the video doesn't mean you're allowed to post it. She didn't give you the video, she gave you a non transferable license to view the video. Posting it makes you liable for damages and a court battle would award her with potentially thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars. There's case law (yes, even if you never saw or agreed to a license, there's case law). Seriously, just because she gave it to you doesn't mean you can post it online. Even if you think there's no reason not to post, there's still a thing called being a decent guy. This is her job after all. It's one thing if it's a video of her in free chat or even private, it's another if it's a video she sells. Especially in a court case, that's real monetary damage. Luckily for you, she probably won't go that route. But still. Of course if you fuck with the wrong people with these international girls on here that work for studios then you might end up in an action film staring Bruce Willis. That or a studio could state it's work for hire and litigate on the models behalf and thus protecting her from any public oversight.
Basically you're admitting to being an ass AND admitting that if litigation were to happen that you're guilty as sin.
