You are absolutely right. People should do their own research on the subject, just like I did.
May I suggest everyone start with this simple google search.

I'm not up to date on the being trash talked for speaking about bitcoin thing so I can't talk about that. I'm not here "defending bitcoin" or whatever. I'm simply promoting individual research and civil discussions about a subject and sharing a few personal experiences related to it.

Since day one thats all I've advocated. Now I'm being called Trendon Shavers and names.

Bitcoin is indeed something that is worth being open minded about. It is something that, if it goes the right way and enough people get into it, could make transactions a lot easier, better and safer. Maybe this previously banned person is posting here because he understands that and just wants people to know about it, or maybe he's just a troll, I don't know and I don't care. Bitcoin has nothing to do with him. My point is, shutting off from the subject and not learning about it isn't going to make any progress.

This bitcoin thing is something banks are TERRIFIED about. A lot of banks and governments (like a user posted above about the US gov) are speaking bad about bitcoin. If you research bitcoin, you'll understand why.

Hell I got into camming because of bitcoin, I first cammed a bit on a couple bitcoin websites and managed to buy my camera with it. I only looked for other camsites at the time because the traffic was terrible (as expected). Once I had a Chaturbate tipper who said he only came to CB because he saw he could buy tokens with bitcoins. He bought a bunch of tokens because he was a long time miner.

Crazy to think how far it has come. Overstock.com , NewEgg.com ....Chaturbate , ClassyCams many more... I envision a future where this will be the # requested method of payment do its anon. features.

Simply research both sides of the story and try to understand the overall picture. It seems a lot of people simply don't understand what bitcoin is, what bitcoin CAN do/be, how it works and what it all means. Don't just trust a government list or a bank CEO's statement, look for yourself, use different sources and learn about it and make up your own mind/opinion.

We need to stop seeing this (and a lot of other things) as black and white. Reality is a spectrum of possibilities not fork roads.

I think its all up to individual choice whether or not to accept Bitcoin. Bitcoin is all about personal empowerment! and I think we all should be for that.

P.S
Good post by the way! thanks for having a clear head.

This is you getting ready....

Would you like it if I had a closet full of pitchforks? Would you like it if I poked your bottom with one of them? I get the impression you enjoy playing the butthurt victim, which I guess is why you're still here.

I have no doubt you have a closet full of pitchforks you poke other peoples butts with. Maybe , the best idea is to stick a pitch fork into youself since you are waste of space and time? yes?

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest following instructions probably isn't your strong suit .

Regardless of any position you have regarding Bitcoin, and regardless of his viewpoint, it is NEVER okay to tell someone to kill themselves. No. Just sooo much no right there.

Just a thought: Maybe if you weren't so preoccupied with being 'told-you-so'-oriented and instead stated your case with a cool head, you wouldn't be coming across so antagonistically (which makes people a lot less likely to listen to what you have to say; putting them on the defensive is the worst way to get a point across.) Right now you don't seem like a very credible source of information, and also not a very nice person.

So there is a problem with pointing out that Bitcoin works ? I didn't know I wasn't allowed to let people know how it turned out and ask why they were dicks about it. Why can't I ask that ...is there a place I need to check in my thoughts here ? I'm cool headed with others who respect me . What I won't be cool headed about is name calling, innuendos and just flat out false accusations. If you think this is how people should conduct a civil adult conversation then I don't know what to say.

If you noticed anyone that was nice to me got a nice response back.

You weren't being cool headed though.
You started the thread out with a poor and entitled attitude and now you're upset that people aren't responding the way you would have liked. If you hadn't been so salty to begin with and started the discussion civilly this thread could have gone in a completely different direction.

No, it wasn't poor. I was just pointing out something that is now obvious and was taken to task last time I was here. I was banned ( I should be unbanned asap!) because of it for no reason other then I was talking about Bitcoin. I did have private DM's from admins admitting I wasn't allowed to talk about it. How was I being salty? There is no crime with coming back to let people know they are wrong and I was right. If people don't want to admit they are wrong so be it but don't take it out on me personally, right ?

From what I read so far, people don't like your attitude about everything. Then, you respond to each of them with more attitude. At this point, most people won't care about your Bitcoins argument. They'll just be waiting for you to inevitably be banned. So, do your argument a favor. Ignore the people that you feel are bullying you, and focus on the facts of your Bitcoins argument for as long as you're around.

The only reason why anyone gets attitude back is because they started the conversation with attitude. You can see which replies to me started with attitude, right? Its right before our eyes here ... I already know I'm going to be banned.

Keep in mind part of the reason I'm here is show again how I was bullied like before so everything is on target.

It WAS poor. Numerous people are telling you it was poor.

An example of how this thread could have went better:
"Hey guys I was here a couple of years ago to talk about bitcoins but found the overall opinion on them to be negative. Now that they have had the time to become more established and have proven to be lucrative, how do you feel? Do you regret not getting involved before they blew up blahlblahblahblah....."
Instead you've decided to take on the attitude of child and prance around saying NERNERNERNER.

Lolz. Look, mate, please sit down. I'm sorry people didn't kneel at the altar of Bitcoin like you'd hoped. I'm sorry you got banned from this forum. I'm sorry it's been eating at you inside for two whole years. I'm sorry you won't be getting the apology you came back for. I'm sorry if you feel I've bullied you.

Given all of the above, the best, most sincere advice I could possibly give you, is to stay away from the internet as much as is possible. The internet can be a cold, dark place. There will always be people on the internet who will disagree with you - some politely, some impolitely. There will always be site owners on the internet who, whether you think you deserve it or not, will decide that you're no longer welcome on their forum. And there will always be people on the internet who will take someone's side over yours, even if, in your eyes, that makes you the wronged victim. This is the reality of the internet. If this reality is going to lead to you holding years-long grudges and feeling bullied any time somebody disagrees with you or suggests you're in the wrong, then it's one you are better off not having in your life :twocents-02cents:

This thread started at 10:07am PST according to my ACF clock. It's now past 2pm and this guy spent the past 4 hours & counting, sitting at his computer waiting for any rebuttal against him just so he can argue back. Seriously, he responded within 10min of every rebuttal against him from the very start of the thread. This was never so much about bitcoin, but rather about one sour-grapes guy trying to satiate his need to win an argument.

Now that you're a millionaire from investing in Bitcoin (I assume) shouldn't you have better things to do than logging into forums to point out to a dozen or so people who were hesitant to embrace Bitcoin as their new overlords that they may have been wrong?

If I'd made millions off of Bitcoin, I'd be busy chilling in my Olympic-sized swimming pool while my servants filled it with ice cubes right now (seriously, it's hotter than the sun here today) before retreating to my own air-conditioned cinema to watch custom pornography on my 50 foot screen and jerking off into an expensive, futuristic device that sucks up bodily fluids before they even hit the ground and pumps them out into the Indian Ocean.

Have you patented that device? I would like one.

Calling me names ( not you personally) telling me its in poor taste? Accusing me of being a scam artist and part of ponzi scheme is telling me its very poor. I suggest you tell them a better way to approach it next time not me. I stated what I wanted to say nicely by saying instead of being assholes about it ( which they were and continue to be it seems ... I'm not going to sugar coat it ) you all could have been millionaires and asked them to be more open minded next time. There is nothing wrong with this ? The whole " i've proven it to be lucative and you didn't attack me last time" wouldn't be so honest now would it ?

People associated with bitcoin are constantly embarrassing themselves and bitcoin. lol@ this petty child holding onto a grudge for years. lol@ her pretending like she got rich off bitcoin(some did but pretty certain by the way she acts she aint one of them). First few waves of bitcoin supporters(way before this goober even knew what they were) were somewhat smart and normal people. They get worse every year.

I've been in bitcoin since 2011 you better believe I was an early adopter with many bitcoins. My previous posts have me pinned here in 2012. $5 coins were snatched up in the hundreds and I even was showing people here how to use them by giving it out free here in the forum.
