It is against the law in Arizona to possess more than 5 dildos.

My dildos are not obscene, sir. They are proper works of art!

^My excuse if I lived in Arizona and the number of dildos in my dresser ever came to the attention of the authorities for some insane reason.
'I'm a collector' :p

It's not against the law for everyone :twocents-02cents: although against the rules of the sites.

It's really not against the law for anyone - possession may be a crime depending on your location and the amount, smoking (anything) is not. Good luck MFC or anyone else proving you're not smoking tea leaves for your own gratification, and otherwise every girl who ever popped a mint or an aspirin is just as 'guilty', as far as breaking site rules ('no taking drugs or things that might be percieved as drugs blah blah bullshit')

That's nothing. Texas's sodomy law wasn't struck down until 2003! And I believe that technically, the sale of "obscene devices" (vibrators, dildos, or artificial vaginas) is still illegal unless it's for medical or "marital" aid, or novelty items not intended for use. I believe a six-dildo law applies here as well.

There is literally a disclaimer sign in every sex toy shop in the state saying that the objects are for anything BUT solo masturbation for funsies.

I'm imagining a giant fuckmachine being used like a battling ram outside of someone's door!

Um... you DO realize that you just gave a LOT of people a VERY bad idea... :icon-twisted:

While it is a funny law I am not sure why the site decided to just limit it to dildos, does that keep the comedic value?
(2) “Material” means anything tangible that is capable of being used or adapted to arouse interest, whether through the medium of reading, observation, sound, or in any other manner, but does not include an actual three dimensional obscene device.
Apparently this law would include books, movies and audio recordings too. I think Arizonans are safe, since the law would be considered unconstitutional if it ever went to the supreme court.

If you are talking about the USA this is not true. Washington and Colorado passed laws but federal law still makes it against the law. Federal law trumps state law if it is more stringent.

I'm not sure that being obliged to pay my way through several layers of appeals meets most people's definition of "safe".

Lots of people don't live in the U.S. I'm legally allowed to have "personal use" quantities of most drugs. The quantities are small enough that it wouldn't be worth selling, but more than one could use in two days or so.

Of course, the irony is that now that I don't do drugs, I live in a country where I legally can. Sigh. Pass me a glass of wine, please.

Edited to add: Even though I can legally smoke a joint and can buy a toy in an adult sex shop, I cannot legally bring a dildo across the border from another country. I can make pornography here, but I cannot import any pornography or material of an obscene or pornographic nature -- sex toys included. Go figure.

They're not dildos. They're personal "massagers".
