Over the past two days I've found two very real, very un-adult, sites with hidden directories of stolen porn. They're in different parts of the country, different industries, and with different WHOIS info.

They have exactly the same list, using the exact same address system. Like:
Code:
www.sitenerm.com/stolenporn/iamarottenhuman

Can anyone explain what is happening here? I've messaged both sites. The first removed the pages, but never responded to me. The second one has neither responded nor removed the pages.

They link to another stolen porn aggregate site which links you to another site for the actual downloading. So...I don't see why anyone would put those images and links on there. There's no money in it that I can see.

Thoughts?

I'm not an expert but there are many possibilities here.
1. the owner of the service/website contracted a webmaster for maintenance... the owner has no clue about hidden porn directories.
2. serve for traffic --- porn has a huge demand and huge traffic so a hidden directory might boost the website's traffic even if the website's content is about handcrafted furniture.
3. a hack which delivers views for porn content or affiliate
4. build backlinks (tho I don't know the type of content)
5. none mentioned above :)
