I

Zero problem with that but when it seemingly comes from an assumed gang of milfs and one comment, its a little much.

I know I'm late in seeing this, but lol at "Gang of MILFs." You say that like it's a bad thing.....

How petty to have to start making misogynistic, unimaginative predictable digs at age, weight, and physical appearance, just because you got RIGHTLY called out on several inappropriate jokes. How fragile is your ego and how narcissistic is you Dawg?

I made a great judgement call banning him, he's the type of asshole that takes his frustration out on Twitter by screencapping pics of me, shittalking my appearance, and making false accusations about my character.

Good riddance.

Just makes him look even more like an unstable, misogynistic psycho Amber. Boy was this (below) ever right @THE MOLLIE MARIE ! Good call!

Also screams "trauma" tbh. The kind that hasn't been addressed in more healthy ways.

Good call!
Whenever someone defends their inappropriate "joking" saying they have a twisted sense of humor, those warning bells go off at max volume.

.... models that get annoyed/angry/upset at the USER for being on a PORN/ADULT site and wanting [wait for it...] something in the adult nature, like a topless or nude woman!!!
This is annoying, luckily it doesn't happen often but it does happen, don't make guys out to be bad people for going to an adult site that YOU are working on, wanting something simple like topless/nude (and you offer it!! - if you're non-nude and they ask you for it ok, fine, but still don't get angry if it's their first time asking you)

I know of a model who operates this way but I think it's more her online persona (bratty findomme I think is what I'd describe it as) that makes her act that way. I could see how that could come off as what you are describing though.

Model is constantly complaining because she struggles to get 50-100 users in her room and most are greys or anonymous. (that's fair enough, anyone would be annoyed).
Model for the past 2 days has 900+ in her room but then she goes absent from her room regularly and for long periods, of say 10 or 15 minutes (to smoke, drink, pee or god knows what)..

My point is she is not trying to do anything to "take advantage" of this new situation.

In addition, she has appointed a new moderator (I think grey) who is just constantly spamming "tip guys" gifs. I was there for 5 minutes and he posted it 6 or 7 times. So, that's fun! haha
This guy is not speaking or doing anything else other than the tip gifs constantly... that is why I assume he is a grey, it's always them that do that nonsense.

---------------------------

When you're a model's moderator but then she has "inside jokes" with a lot of guys, from either social media, PM, or wherever (and they are not necessarily tippers, spenders), and they come in the chat and start saying things that are rude and insulting, and for anyone else, you would silence them, and the model would want you to... you don't know these other guys who she has secret inside jokes with, or what the joke is, al you see is the rudeness, so then you obviously silence them, then you get a stern telling off for not being a mind reader etc.
And she continues to let these guys be rude etc in public chat, yet still expects you to silence other guys that jump on the wagon and start saying/doing the same. Oh and, these guys are constantly changing their name too.

I think keep shit like this in PM or social media etc

...anyway :p

Models who watch other models obsessively and report other models for no reason.
Also why is this thread so popular can we make the “what makes users annoying” post going because the users are getting more nagging then ever. Like I got a thumbs down the other day because I had some large tips in my room and many users who did not tip were upset I didn’t “squirt” or whatever they wanted 🙄

How long constitutes "a while" to you? If more than 15 minutes, I can sorta understand. But any less than that, setting away or logging off is not beneficial to anyone. Especially since setting away still effects our camscore, yet closes off our room to newcomers and leaves our regulars with no music/sound.
What is "camscore"? Does this word apply on all sites?

I swear to god this happens to just about every "new" account. That's there's always someone who's tipped 25 and is annoyed because the girl isnt doing something they were hoping to see rather than what they actually do.

I recently went into a new room on CB that was very quiet (around 10 viewers and the rest were greys).
The model was looking very disinterested and there was no chat history.
I wrote hello and tipped for a few things from the menu.
Straight away, she sent me a PM, which said:

How old are you?
What country are you from?
How much do you earn?
Are you single?
I'm looking for a husband!

Example of someone who is not meant to be a cam model.

This sounds like being a moderator is more headache than it's worth.

Yes, it was a total shock to get that pm, when just seeking some fun interaction.
Did wonder afterwards if she was just sick of some guys saying the usual stuff, but the pm was so fast and direct, probably not.....

I think that makes it virtually impossible to be effective as a moderator, so if that was me, I'd ask her to revoke mod status. If she won't, just be in the room like anyone else and don't do any 'mod' stuff.

I imagine she probably signed up through some ad that promoted the business as a great way to find a rich husband.

I was never wanting to be a moderator in her room anyway, but she has a habit of making anyone who talks and tips (that she likes and gets on with) a moderator. Which don't get me wrong, is nice, but she used to always ask me, I always said no, then one day she just did it and said "there" but we laughed about it and then I accepted the fate.

I guess I could make it somewhat easier by adding notes to names, but even then it doesn't sort the problem of everyone else jumping in the conversation of calling her "this, that and the other" names/insults.

I have definitely been a lot more sitting back in the background - which she has definitely noticed and mentioned.
I did try to ask her yesterday about this guy who is constantly spamming the GIFs. I asked nicely and tried to do it in a somewhat "lol" way so it didn't come across as being too rude or anything.
I basically just asked, "Who is [name], I have not seen him before. I never see him talk, with you or anyone in public, all he does is post lots of GIFs for guys to tip".
She ignored it and just continued with a different conversation, so, I left it as her not wanting to answer (or I mean, to realise maybe it's problem and tell him to calm - to have some kind of conversation for it at least) - which of course is fine.

Brett, been through exactly the same thing in the one room I'm a moderator in. Asked tactfully about a guy who floods chat with gifs (and interestingly has never tipped), and got told 'leave him alone, he helps when you're not around'.
So I just said that we had very different styles, I wasn't sure that his actually helped the room, but I would carry on in my style, for as long as she still wanted me in that role.
Ironically, this guy pm'd me a day or two later to say he thought she needed to completely rethink her show, as he had noted the number of viewers decreasing rapidly and the total tips drop off too.......
funnily enough, this guy had plenty of ideas on how the show should look, and to my immense surprise <sarcasm>, aligned with all his personal favourites and fetishes. Go figure.

*cue loaded question*

I am curious! As a model or member, do you think the most annoying thing is that a model can do? It can be either on or off cam.

I'll start with my top two:

It really weirds me out when a model starts to blame viewers for not giving her enough money. I am all for a lady saying, "If we don't reach the goal in X minutes I'm out of here", but it is another matter entirely to see a model say, "wtf is wrong with you people? Why aren't you giving me money? This is an amazing show and it's not going to be my fault if it doesn't get started." That is probably the biggest thing that makes me not want to tip. I just feel bad and guilty and I want to leave.

My other one is when a lady uses photos from other women to promote her own stuff. Especially on Tumblr it is REALLY common for models to reblog/reuse photos from other models and sex workers, and then add her own information and links to the text. Usually all I can think of is, "if this chick can't create her own decent content, won't everyone be disappointed when they find out the promo picture is so much better than the real thing?"
As a model something I hear about quite a bit that really bugs me is receiving payment from a fan for stuff, whether it's a custom, video bundle, panties, etc...and just taking their money and not fulfilling the order.

It's SO short sighted, and it's also literally stealing. If you bought something from a business, you would expect to have your order fulfilled and would be pissed if you didn't and want your money back. Same shit!

I forgot to say this but...
After seeing this and commenting the other day, I was making a drink and for some reason, I don't know why, my mind thought it was funny if a group of MILFs were called a 'Gaggle of MILFs', (I know gaggle is geese).
Personally, I can just picture a group of milfs being called this and all sat around laughing at stuff...

Ahhh the weird stuff that pops into ones mind randomly, gotta love/hate it.

Not sure this is THE most annoying thing, but:

I follow a model that keeps a SUPER inconsistent work schedule. From talking to her, it’s about 30 percent due to unavoidable life problems and 70 percent her randomly deciding not to work (or to sign off after 40 minutes but still leave up the “I’m Online” she posts on social media for the full 24 hours… I imagine it takes most of her followers more than 40 minutes to even see that alert, so most of the eyeballs she gets from that post will regularly arrive to find an offline page).

What makes it worse in this case is that she mentioned to me that she should post her work schedule in her profile to help members. I enthusiastically encouraged her to do that (already being a little frustrated myself with trying to catch her online). So she did.

She posted that she works all 7 days a week, 12 hours per day (minus a one hour lunch break). But she actually only works a tiny fraction of that (zero to 8 hours a week generally). It turns out the schedule she posted is not when members should expect to see her online. Just all the days/times she has not ruled out MAYBE, one day, popping online for a few minutes. Which still leaves members guessing/checking in for no reason.

I mean, I kind of do this too, and we can thank my undeserving low camscore on MyFreeCams for that. Lol. When I go online on MFC, it posts to Twitter that I'm online, and I've made it pretty clear what time I get on cam five nights a week. I'm not going to delete that tweet every time that I log off MFC early. That tweet is my proof that I was, indeed, on cam tonight. If you come into the room as I'm getting ready to log off, instead of "Awww, but I just got here!"...start tipping me and making conversation, and maybe I'll stay on longer. :)

I am no longer wasting 3 hours of my night in free chat every night (Jacking up my camscore even further) to log off with 0 or few tokens...when I could just log off early (After at least one hour) and jump on ManyVids Live...and maybe earn a little something so I can at least make payout. I'll do that sometimes, and wind up making my topless goal on ManyVids Live.

But now (Because of the logging off early thing) instead of saying that my MFC hours are 10 PM - 1 AM EST, I'll just say 10 PM - 11/11:30 PM EST, even though I'm willing to stay on until 1 AM (or later) depending on the token flow.

A thread like this is an opportunity for self-reflection. Ultimately we'll all do things our own way as streamers, and like the rooms/streamers we like whether or not most of the people ITT agree with it, but that doesn't mean this thread shouldn't be popular.

It's a good thing a thread like this is on a forum like this, because it's healthy for us all; for members and models alike to freely share their opinions on people in the industry without making anything a personal attack on anyone.
A lot of regular viewers would rather put up with behaviour they don't like than say something because they don't want to upset the streamer, making this thread an especially important safe space.

If you don't want to see people "nagging," please don't click on a thread explicitly meant for sharing criticism.
Edit: you were likely referring to your own viewers with the nagging comment, but I still don't think that has place here, to put down this thread's purpose. https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/threads/things-members-say-that-make-you-go-wtf.1605/ exists and has 444 pages - more than double the pages this thread has.

It also creates an opportunity for us to explain possible reasons/motivations behind the behaviors that members find annoying. Maybe members feel less annoyed knowing that for some of the things, there is a very valid reason why it happens.
