Overcooked 2 and they just announced a new overcooked game for when the playstation 4 arrives. I'm stoked!!
I love overcooked 2!

I also play Smite which helps me give a good outlet when I have frustrating trolls or members. Both of these games are so therapeutic!

I've been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons for 4 months now and I'm super addicted, this is such a relaxing, feel-good game, I can spend hours on it!

anyone played Hylics 2 yet? Ive been vibing to the soundtrack lately but idk if I can justify buying the game right now 😭 talk me into/out of it!

Mine is Red Dead Redemption 2. I love to get lost in the woods, go hunting and fishing, have fun with photo mode and just wander around with my horse. It really distracts me from all my thoughts and I can fully dive in that world

I've only been playing FIFA 20 FUT the last 2 months. Even with the game's faults I enjoy playing against the AI but against human players I nearly tear my hair out because the matchmaking sucks. Need to get back to Kingdom Come: Deliverence. That game's pretty cool once you get your stats up a bit. Also need to get around to finishing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

The most chill games I play are Virtual Pool 4, Backgammon, Freecell and Sudoku.

I've been looking for a good racing game for a long time, and now that I have better hardware, I recently bought Forza Horizon 3. I've only put a couple of hours into it, so maybe it's too early to call "my chill out game", but man, I can already tell this is going to be something I'm going to sink a ton of hours into. It feels like a nice mix of sim and arcade racing -- weighing on the arcade side of things. Driving the open world, racing when I want, tuning my cars, designing livery, going for new cars, tuning designing livery for my new cars... It really looks like a great mix of sandboxy mucking about and actually having things to aim for. This is definitely something I'll be spending hours driving around in, while I half-watch TV. Man, I'm stoked to really dig into this one!

Turns out Forza isn't just a driving a game, it's also a drawing program. I spent last night drawing a feathery atrociraptor for my Raptor trucks.

Dorky to be spending all my creative energy making liveries for virtual cars in a game that people can't even buy anymore, but I've been having a lot of fun doing it.

Started playing No Man's Sky again, and it has replaced Eurotruck as my chill game :p The latest sets of updates has made it really good.

I don't really have much better to do than sit around and grind at GTA Online, and it feels so much like a fucking job sometimes. Not a good look, I know. The thing is, now that I've got most of the "fun" stuff I want to have, I spend a lot of time driving or flying around in my expensive toys, going between my yacht, casino penthouse, arcade, and night club, not really doing anything -- just kind of using the game as a millionaire simulator.

I don't know if online chess counts, like on lichess, but that is my chill out game. I like playing 1+0 bullet chess (aka clock set to one minute per side with no increment). It's also easy to start doing chess puzzles and get lost in time for awhile.

If that doesn't count, I like Metal Gear Solid 5. I already beat all the missions, but I've been trying to 100% it and get all the collectibles/achievements.

My most stress relieving game is Chrono Trigger for the SNES. I played it countless times... It has just such a calming atmosphere, the colour scheme is gorgeous and the music is legendary!

Yesterday, I accidentally spent 13 hours playing Dragon Quest Builders 2. The funny thing is, it doesn't even feel like I've gotten very far into it. Great concept for a game -- classic JRPG storytelling, but mechanics focusing on collecting, crafting, and building. The writing is really entertaining, too. Definitely a chill playing experience.

Bump. I'd hate for this thread to die.

I've started getting into the last few entries of the Assassin's Creed games, and exploring around Egypt in Origins is a pretty chill experience.

What's your go-to game to play when you're feeling stressed or anxious? Is it a classic you've loved forever that always brings back good memories, something that requires all your concentration and is a great distraction, or something else?

I got stressed out from school today and accidently lost 5 hours to starcraft But I love playing Abzu when I want the same effects as a meditation.

What about you guys?
Crash Bandicoot racing or Mario Kart especially with friends :)

Have I got a game for you: https://terraria.org/

After playing the base game, I highly recommend getting some mods. Calamity is a must!

I've definitely put hours into Terraria. Interestingly, I've actually got a lot more time on Starbound, the space-themed Terraria-clone (and one of the few Terraria-clones to actually survive and become fun.)

Good rec! It's been a few years. I should roll up a new world.

I'm probably a psycho, but my favorite game to zone out to is Bloodborne. I'm on NG+++ and know all the enemies and maps by heart now. I like to put on some EDM and run around and kill shit, lol.

I totally get you with this. SoulsBorne game mechanics are all about repetition and pattern recognition. Once you get into it, it's a great way to unwind.
