Hello! I'm a recently retired cam girl after being on MFC for a little over a year, and like I'm sure every other model has had to deal with, Ive seen videos and pictures of me and my shows online. It's not surprising, but I'm still annoyed and really would like to remove everything that I can. I've spent hours and hours researching what to do and I know I shouldn't send any DMCA requests myself as my personal information gets sent out in the request and could potentially be posted online. So a few questions:

1. If I quit camming months ago and somehow manage to actually succeed in getting the content removed, do you think its likely that more videos could pop up after, like people would re-upload them? I never was really popular and I already deleted my MFC account and all other accounts associated with my model name a few months ago.

2. Since I've already deleted my MFC account, could I still join one of those cam model protection sites that send the DMCA request for you?

3. I've literally spent hours and hours and hours researching this and still am unsure, but which model protection site do you think is most successful? I've seen so many people say cammodelprotection works the best but there are also a lot people who say it doesn't work and it says they've deleted links when they haven't.

4. Certain sites (like CamWhoresTv) have the DMCA section but they require you to email them a photo of yourself holding a sign saying "I am blahblahblah for camwhorestv" and they say they'll take it down that way, but that sounds super sketchy to me. Has anyone done that and been successful?

5. I don't know, any advice you could give me would be cool.

I'm really sorry for being probably the 100th girl to ask about DMCA, but I've always referred back to this place when I was a cam girl and found it incredibly helpful. It's a shame I had to stop camming, I truly did enjoy it.

Yes, fact is it is always going to be out there on the net. I could go into a lot of detail about the hows and ways etc but I know there are plenty of posts on this explaining as much, maybe someone could pick up and post a link from these forums for you...? Yeah though, its always going to be out there, I came across a former cam girl that stopped camming over 10 years ago did the whole DMCA thing and it works, not saying it doesn't on that front of things for most sites or anything, but I still came across uploaded videos of hers from like 11 years ago on a site (that I will not mention on purpose as to not give it more traffic cause its fucked up what they are doing) charging for the downloads of her content that are over a decade old. I wasn't even looking for her. I see it all the time if I still keep in contact with the model I forward the information to her, active or non active and let them know their "retired" content etc or whatever the case is, is still alive and well, especially when it is being sold by someone other than the model.

The movie industry has been trying to fight pricey. They spends allot of money and time. And yet those movies are still easily accessible.

The best way to fight piracy it make your content free and easily accessible. If every cam girl put all their shows online for free. The pricey sights would be screwed over. There would be no money in it for them. And any money that is being made, would be going to the models.

That's how you fight pricey. By taking control of your content. By stripping the pireters of their power. By removing their ability to profit off of you.

@AmberCutie , yah I know, that's not the answer she wanted. :\

That's the only way I can think of to kill the pricey sites. Kill their ability to make a profit. At least with porn hub, They model gets profit sharing.

If the sights die off. Then the models gain the ability to remove their content.

I agree that would eliminate piracy, but it would also eliminate any chance of the model making money on their videos, thus negating the point of making them in the first place.

Most of the videos on cam sites are just records of streams. This isn't content most cam models are selling. If models put these videos on say porn hub; they could make profit off of the content. I'm not saying allot. But it's better then some one else hosting the content. Some one else making that profit.

Unfortunately, as long as someone can use your content to drive traffic or make money it's going to be out there. As a retired camgirl myself, I have the same issues and concerns. I was never very popular either, but I still get infrequent reports of someone coming across a capture of a private show. You can hope that technology advances will make older recordings obsolete or undesirable. I saw one of my recorded shows not long ago; I don't believe it was all that old either. It was pretty soft and fuzzy and the resolution looked bad compared to what's out there today. Time did seem to take a toll. I can't imagine anyone would consider it has much value at all for any purpose.

Thats so shitty. But I don't understand why anyone would even want to watch a recorded version of a livestream when its just hours and hours of a model responding to peoples messages and trying to get them to tip..

Sorry, I guess I didn't tell my story correctly. This was an actual strip nude and sex show performed for a paying customer. It was not me just sitting in chat making small talk with surfers I was hoping to sell. Now that really would be boring as hell.

I've always imagined they must just skip straight to a cumshow. Surely no one sits and watches all the hours of random chat

Honestly in a lot of my streams I'd get naked and masturbate and all that jazz. I'd even do it off and on before I reached my tip goal in the hopes that it would grab more members attention and I could make more money. It never worked, though. I really wasn't that great a model. :(

Only if they do their cum shows in public. The robots that record don't seem to buy into group shows.

After looking at one pirate group. They advertise on 50+ sites. They use 3 sites to obfuscation their network. The video are hosted separately. The photos are hosted separately. Reporting is hosted separately. The images are hosted separately. Every thing is protected by business grade DDOS and BOT protection. Every thing is automated. The company is out of country, in a pirate friendly country, and the company is in limbo.

If you try to crawl their sites, The bot protection kicks in.
If you try to brute force the obfuscation, it stops responding.
If you managed to hit one of their sites hard, they simply spin up another site.

I haven't found a way to legally do any real lasting impact to their operation.

I doubt the camwhores admin will do anything, and I agree that whole sign thing seems sketchy

I think Geniva went into the chatroom to get one of her video removed, and the admin of the site basically told her to fuck off.
And that she shouldn't be surprised her videos are on the internet.
